Qualifying is now open for this week's race. This will be the post that will be used for the qualifying results. It is going to be this Friday at 9:30pm ET. It will be at Tsukuba Circuit and will consist of two heat races where this qualifying session will determine the starting order of the first heat, while the second heat will be determined via reverse order of the results from the first. Each heat will be (30 Laps)

This post here will detail the results, procedures and etc on how we do qualifying (See OP for more details). Qualifying is over and final 12 hours before the scheduled start of the race.

The chart below details the current qualifying standings. This will be updated as the week goes forth and when a new page is made I will quote this post

To qualify you can either PM a steward here on GTPlanet, post a post on here with a public room number for a steward to join, or if you are friends on PSN with a steward you can PM them on there. Below is the list of Stewards that can qualify you (as of now)

GTPlanet name (PSN name)

Note that Stewards must qualify with other Stewards

If yall need to qualify just post you are ready to qualify on here and ill jump on but im a little busy right now to actually practice. But will jump on for 5 mins if need too.
 
After running laps with some of you guys it occurs to me that this is going to be some insanely close racing. I wouldn't be surprised if the top 10 are all within .5 of each other. Passing is going to be quite interesting too, most spec series are super tight and this one seems like it will be the same way.

I did manage to get into the 2s just barely, .992 I think. I don't think I'll match it in quali but I see some of you getting .8s for sure.

Should be some really good tight racing.

Does anybody know about this pit lane, if you have to enter before the last turn? If anyone knows what Im talkin bout cause I think if youre not picked up going into the last turn, you just go thru the pits without stopping

You must enter in before the final corner or it will spit you through the pits.
 
Remember guys you have to qualify before Friday Morning at 930-10 am eastern Standard time. In othter words 12 hrs before race time everyone who is racing has to have qualified.

How long will the races last? I dont think it matters. Im just gona be tired by then and driving like Im drunk
 
I wouldnt mind the 1030 start time i know it would help a couple of are regulars be able to race with us.

Tensor the races this week will be 28 laps for each race.

And guys i will be available most of the day if anyone needs to qualify i will open a room for you. Just let me know.
 
Also guys, If you have any friends who love sports tires and spec racing bring them. All are welcome 👍. Looked at the list and from what I've seen from talking to people we will definitely have a minimum of 12. That could easily reach 16 just need to get a hold of some people I haven't heard from in a bit.

was looking forward to the earlier time, was already late as heck for me with my new schedule, but I'm just one person so if you gotta go at 10:30 I'll still be there when I have saturdays off, looks like every other right now.

Just asking. Only one we'd lose for a 930 start time would Canze but if we lose the same amount if we switch then it's not worth it then. We'll just keep it 930 then.

Series is fridays nukka haha. :)
 
Anybody up for some qualifying tonight? 10 ish EST? Maybe we can get more than one and a time and knock it out.

Edit: So I haven't qualified in this manner before, can you get in the room and do a few warm up laps or do you just jump right in and run your two laps?

You can run laps before you qualify. You just must exit track and get back on when you are ready to qualify. And i will jump on when you want to qualify just leave a post letting me know you want to and are ready and i will open a room for you to join. :)

And Dgaf if you want to join i will post when i have the room up and you can join.

I ran some laps with a handful of guys today and i got down to a 1:02.807 was my best to bad i blew qualifying all ready. 👎
 
Had some fun racing tonight, think it was 5 or 6 of us running 5 lap races, racing was very tight for sure. Went ahead and qualified, 1st lap was a 1.03.278?(king you remember?, I know it was a .2 something) then my second lap time I was ahead of the best lap that was a 1.02.8 in the first sector, then was just barely behind in the 2nd sector which was at least .150 ahead of my 1st lap that I noticed, then I botched the 2nd to last turn overdriving it and hollered over the mic:banghead::banghead::banghead:, came to finish my 2nd lap with a 1.03.211.

I'm pretty confident when I run some more laps I can break into a 1.02, but might take me over 5 laps to get there, we'll see with a lil future practice.

Yeah it was tight. I think I can get into the 1:02s just need to get more laps. Struggled a bit today though.
