But Kaz said all cars were rebuilt from the ground up. Clearly this is not the case. For the GT6 cars that make full use of the tessellation there is no reason to remake the meshes: are alredy perfect
In all the other cases, such as the SLS, PD clearly have reshaped the 3D model of the car
When you talk about full tesselation, what does that mean?

No tessellation VS Tessellation
full tessellation are the cars that use the tessellation on every single section of the model
Hm ok. So some cars in GT6 were made with much more detail, or are we talking full tesselation = Photo travel models ? . Sorry, not really following
Some have tesselation technology, others don't.
maybe it has in real life tooThe quality is extremely good, you can even read the small text in the interior of the RX-7. But it has some spelling mistakes.
Apart from that, great work @emula
I'm waiting to see more comparisons.
For most of the cars it's true but some of them are actually copied with changed textures (for new shaders, and overall resolution) and a bit modified polygon mesh in some places. Audi quattro S1 is a perfect example of that. It even doesn't support tesselation. It's pretty obvious they completely remodeled these cars and didn't just simply increase polygons to smoothen out edges and add more detail to previous models. The body panels' spacing, thickness, and even shape have been redone. Those differences are noticeable on some of the tessellated GT6 models too. I think some of the GT6 car models were more accurate than others so for those it's a bit more difficult to spot these types of differences compared to GTS.
The F40 an Countach look nothing like each other. Apples and Oranges..Patiently waiting for F40 and Countach comparisons
I could've sworn they were italian GT86 and BRZ, same car different badge. I see my mistake now.The F40 an Countach look nothing like each other. Apples and Oranges..
Sorry couldn't resist, I'll just leave now....
