A friend was in a race with some questionable racing. Posting the video here to show what kind of driving we DO NOT want here and the consequences in the real world.
If you wouldn't do it in the real world, don't do it in GTTCC.

It's bad, when the video first started and he said 'we share some beers' I was thinking it's no wonder you crashed... :D

But that is bad man, some serious G in that impact... Thanks for sharing Emo

Nope no new clio. Gutted.
Thing is you can see the Porsche driver getting pissed off that a little Renault Clio is taking the piss out of his Porsche.
But at the end of the day of you are beaten then concentrate on getting back on top rather than pushing and shoving.

girlfriend asked what happened to the Porsche driver?

At the end of the day, your mate clearly had the abiity, hence why he could match the Porsche and drive well, but the Porsche driver is just a rich git who has too much money and time

He was DQ from the championship.

But the problem is he just goes n races somewhere else.

Sorry. Correction. He got 6 points on his race licence. That is all.

So, unless I read wrong, you have no issue with that move?!

Well, drivers and attitudes like that really have no place here 👎
That was a terrible move, a complete divebomb and using another driver as their brakes, pushing them wide.

If you, or anyone else finds that acceptable, please let me know. I don't want people like that

Exactly, I agree... You'd never see me doing anything like this... (destroys evidence of Race 3 from Trial Mountain)

Well, not intentionally anyway... :D

Kamikaze JEV...

That was for sure a desperate divebomb ! That's what happen when an F1 driver gets stuck in a mediocre car for too long ! Glad Grosjean took it easy, I saw a picture of him on Twitter making a funny face while holding the piece of wing that broke on contact with JEV.

it may of been desperate but its different making a move like that in real life is different to games on a game if you do that your a **** but if you do it real life its commitment because your lifes on the line at the end of the day if your nice to people in those situations you wont get anywhere

I'll say quite the opposite ! That particular move, in GT6 I'll say "Ok that's not very fair but it's just a game after all..." (who didn't see much worse divebombs in open lobbies...) whereas in real life, that's not a fair behavior and it can end in a bad accident... There is a difference between being nice and gentle and being fair.
Next GP just look at Alonso or, the star of the moment, Ricciardo. They're aggressive enough to pass but still clean and fair ! There are several techniques and strategies to overtake safely in a race. Becoming a clean and fast driver is as theoretical as practical.

(Oh and don't take Maldonado as an example, he's like a Gran Turismo online driver but in real life ! :P )

wow, can't believe i'm reading this. JEV was stupid, yeah, he put his life on the line, but also grosjean's and (cant remember the other driver, pastor?) It was a terrible move in game and real life, and its drivers/attitudes like that which end up with consequences like Emo's friend.

Well, i'll certainly be keeping an eye on you alex, that's bad mate, time to sit down and think about I properly. A racing driver takes risks, but should never endanger others lives 👎

Thing is, every person who liked my post or has responded are against it, and they are all clean capable drivers

i guess i have a pretty different view than most being to big for karts and struggling from my first ever race when i was 8 to now against people less than half my size ive had a different approach to overtaking ive had to take risks that most others dont need to throwing down the inside last as possible and leaving it to the other driver when to turn but thats how ive learnt, just need to look at the bigger picture next time :/ sorry guys

when you throw it down the inside you force the driver away, they trust the person behind to make a move fairly. Dn't worry mate, just remember that if your unsure whether its a fair move, and how others would see it, then it's not 👍
