From the looks of the times posted in that link, those cars were actually just the road cars as they would be with their given tyres, which are normally the equivalent to sports hards. Also, they probably drive them bare bones stock, whereas we're using Sports Softs, tuned racing machines (yes on a game but still...) with transmission top speed reduced to suit the top speeds we can achieve on the longest straight.

Roxy Music bit before my time.:embarrassed::sly:
I know that mate lol, but the music was still respected during that time. As I said in PM, i'd knew you'd at least know who he is ;)

Also, Pink Floyd's new album has passed One Direction in pre-order sales. WOOOOOOOOO!

Must be 1:38's then lol, because that's what I was getting (after many laps and many sets of tyres lol)

Fastest laps I've seen are 38's, mikey and I have both done 1 (I can't stress the 1 enough) which if memory serves was a 38.7 and 38.9 respectively.

Not sure on the legality of mine since I'm low 39's normally... :D

Just did some practice today, basic tuning and upgrades on the gt86. Times are coming down, I think 37's will be possible with a bit more practice.

One thing though, is that the gt86 seems to be quite on the edge on SS tyres (lack of power means no chance to correct drifts), so am a bit worried that there will be quite a few race-ending wrecks this season, especially looking back at the driving last round. I wonder if we've been a bit too bold with the number of FR's available...

37's? Right, can someone get his car on the weighbridge please... :D

Nurb is really a circuit for the FR's with better handling than FF's, because sector 1 and sector 2 the FF's lose out too much to bring back an advantage on the straights of sector 3, unless you nail every corner

I'm now doing 39.4's-39.5's in the Renault but I need more setup work and practice :)

Plus, my start button broke...

Someone is aiming to hit 1:37s at GP/D? I'll have to try this when I get some free time. Pretty busy though today, hopefully an evening with the better half watching fireworks.

Edit- should I aim for high 36's? Hmmmm.....

I expect we all will lol. Yeah no worries mate, you've got the next 2 weeks to try
I'm going to attempt a Tom Clarkson here, the cut off point?...... If we see 37's then 38.9 if not hen 39.2

haha nice one 👍

just a note, in the races, feel free to use whatever car you want, but when Pre-Q TT starts, you'll need to use your chosen car. If you wish to change, before or after, just let me know 👍

No idea on numbers tonight. If we have over 13 then it will get interesting :D
