In GGTC we start race but NOT race the 1st lap. Stick to 60mph then when starting 2nd lap we GO... Handy when rolling start isn't available ☺

Sounds exactly like what we do in VRR Super GT, GT500 paces at 80mph and GT300 goes at just 60mph.

Yes it was. However some people need exaggerated information in being told what to do, similar to telling people they can't pick a car yet on numerous occasions. However a formation lap can be massively opened to interpretation. It could mean we park back up, do a double line rolling start or, as I suggested let the leader decide when to go. We can test a few different things tonight.

If there is time we can do some Rocket races but depends how things go. If we run 10minute races and see how the cars behave on the tracks it could be a good idea.

Around 7 and we can start before 8. Just have a night of rolling races in calendar order trying different things and starts etc. I'll turn mics on as well if people want.

To update people it looks like we will be using rolling starts. All drivers set off and drive at 60MPH. Pole driver chooses the side they wish to start. On the main straight drivers line up side by side (be half a car length in front/behind). When pole passes the start finish line then they start 👍

Its a test night yes but if you can make it you need to. I know some people cant make it but still, it helps if someone does and its not fair on the likes of ash, filo and noir who give everything week in week out.

Well, I still don't have my Toyota ready yet, so, I think that I'll wait for one more week to get the Toyota. However, if you want me to make it to the test race today, then I'll buy the Toyota and join the lobby afterwards. 👍

It will cause some problems but those who refused to come will miss out on pre-q points now. It's not fair all this hard work by people and someone cant make a small effort, even for 30mins when they are online. The test was compulsory.

If we're doing a double-filed rolling start, can following drivers start overtaking once the leader passes the start/finish line, or once they cross the line? I believe in GT racing you can pass once the green flag has dropped, but only around the outside if you are yet to pass the start/finish line.

When they pass the line. As soon as the driver gets to the line they will 'let rip'

But standing starts may stay as people prefer them, as long as the FR guys start in 2nd gear that should work.

That's what the indy series is for this season, those who can only make a few rounds so you should be able to win back your indy title



Thanks to everyone who turned up tonight and especially filo. I know people can argue it's just a game' and I agree. However this 'game' takes me 2/3 hours a day to keep going, no jokes, and has taken many hours for other guys here too. So for those who were around and couldn't even bother letting me know the didn't want to come, it sucks. Thankfully I had some fun with filo and some pleasant randomers, but apart from that it was a wasted night, which could have been avoided if people who signed up said they weren't coming. I know those who cant and even post on the thread, but it's still upsetting for people be irresponsible. Yes, it's a game, but if you cant be arsed to do something then tell people so you don't waste their time.

But still, for those part of the series many thanks and we are all excited for the start


I do think FR guys should start in 2nd gear. It's a lot easier to organise and if they don't follow it then they receive a penalty, simple.

So, Is everyone okay with the FR cars starting in 2nd gear? It does bog them down and feels unnatural but they can still make up a few places. It's the best way to stop them getting a 2 second gap at the start. All okay with that?
