I was supporting Toyota for the overall win, this is something that should not have happened. Disqualified too.

Well F1 was dull.
Not sue why it wouldn't be. Just looking at the track you could see it would be crap. Some said ricciardo would win. Really? Doe that look anything other than a merc dominated track? Has the Renault engine suddenly improved? Turned out exactly as expected. but I had a nap so it's all okay

BTCC was great. Good send off back to the Swissland this week!
I started calling @Ash9414 Sutton in the first half of the race when he was pushing people to pass. The joke backfired when he pulled out some amazing pace second half of the race and won  Great to see Plato back though :D

Casually trying to push his teammate off ;)

Undeserved win. Didn't get the run out the final corner so decided to push him off the track :indiff:

They are, but gotta be done, I remember how annoyed I was when someone didn't spoiler a result :P

Maldonado never wins, don't lie.
Don't be like that, back in GP2/3 whenever he doesn't crash, he wins...

...which was less than 20% of his races

Plato would never do anything like that. I prefer the term 'couldn't stand losing to his team mate again.'

99% of ginetta junior moves are illegal but hilarious. Combine that with O'Neil's commentary and it's probably the bet racing in the world

Can't be dealing with these spoilers. Let's just assume people have seen the races by now. :P
I doubt it. Apparently people have something called 'a life' where they don't spend 48hours straight glued to the TV

All or nothing, eh? ;)
Sounds like me :P Although he did ignore yellow flags at Monaco, crippled a marshall and received a lifetime ban. So began the saga of the maldonator......

Can I take the 21:20 slot please true? Although I may not make it :boggled:
I'll let you know as soon as I can on the night.
That's fine mate. If you can't don't worry we'll try sort something out

Doesn't the government throw loads of money at you since you're at university? :P
Noooooo they make you want to believe that.

First of all my dad no longer gets child benefits for me so our income is reduced. They give me a £9000 loan for my year's tuition, which is given to the uni. My future salary is reduced until I pay that back (so about 30k in total).

They then give me 4000 to live on. Many blow it on alcohol etc, but mine was spent on making up the money lost for my dad, who is too ill to work so therefore screwed him over. That money is now gone and I only have what I saved up to last me the summer. I need to pay that 4000 back too. So all together we've lost money. The government makes it look like they are helping us as they know we will be their 'bitches' one day lol, but yeah they need to make the money up one way or another so they take it from your parents.

Also, if you want to do your masters the government will help you with more loans (which will cause you more problems lol) but in Wales they won't give you a loan for your masters.

Spare change anyone? :P

Man, you have it rough. We don't have student loans over here as far as I know, so there's nothing to reduce our salaries with except for taxes and other benefit costs, which takes quite a toll on the net salary. I don't want to imagine having to take a loan back when I was still in college and have to pay for it with my salary.

I've always told my friends this whenever we play GT6: I'll take my 50mil credit cap if I could convert it 1:1 to actual money.

We still have tax etc

I don't like the UK government, it's simple as. It is one of the worst things for the common man. We have very little income which is then reduced by cuts and taxes etc. It's very easy to resolve too without hitting the poor.

The government loans are similar to bank loans. You have to pay more then what they give you so the government ends up making money. It's an awful system. Going to uni may earn you more money, but you need to pay off the loans, and including get taxes and saving up for the future it isn't that great. The only appeal it has to me is I could find a more enjoyable job, and to hopefully move to a nicer country where the residents are actually cared for.

Over here it's pretty difficult to get an enjoyable job without finishing uni, much less actually getting one. Thankfully we have government-funded unis where tuition fees aren't as expensive as the private unis, some almost next to nothing and I was just lucky to be in one for my five years at uni, else I might be spending my first few years at work just trying to get back everything we'd have spent on tuition fees.

Also I should mention a lot of the country's money comes from universities. Fortunately UK residents get some help in the short term, but they make the foreign students pay the full price which is actually what keeps the uni's open. If you want to experience the UK, don't come to the uni here. Wait a few years and then come on a holiday it is so much cheaper.

I guess you don't have loans noir as the country encourages and values education. It's needed for the purpose of advancing the country and it's residents, rather than a way of increasing the rich people's wallets even more.

@J_Starscream will agree especially after our long referendum discussions lol

Yep like I said above, the country values the importance of education. A lot nicer process. The main problem we have regarding work (or what I've found) is work experience. I have spent the last 3 years in advanced education and received certificates. However companies want you to have work experience they prefer someone who has spent the last 2 years working in McDonald's to someone like myself, which makes it impossible to find a job. Also, if they do consider you they decide you are 'over qualified' so won't employ you. It's crazy. However I'm hoping my dissertation in motorsport reporting (see, worth it lol) will be enough to be considered work experience.

And to end on a massive downer it usually turns out to be completely useless and before you know it its time to retire, although I'm looking forward to that. Sitting around all day with nothing to do. Sounds amazing

For people like us, we never retire....we just turn ourselves down a notch and race in slower cars.

I hope to be an old guy who still has classic cars (which will then be 100 years old, wow what a thought) yelling at all the kids in their stupid electric cars :P

Iceland.

Now the talk about BTCC and Ginetta Junior is getting me excited to see it this weekend
