Your right its not.....your go......i mean ill try again!!

Could it be a B-17G?

It seems in your pic that there is no roof turret which I am baffled by. It could be the B17-C which has a very small dome, but dome it has. (as far as I can tell)

Ok, it has to be either the CB-17 "utility transport". Or the XC-108 "excecutive transport". If not I am going to smash up my laptop. Please don't make me do that!

Mike was very specific about his model name, so I'd rather give him a little time to confirm that's what he was looking for.

That's cool. Only fair. Allthough (as usual!) I think you got it right on the button.

I think Mike has actually gone home and won't be back until tomorrow, but its up to you.

It is the Y1B-17, the prototype model from 1936 or so. If Mike comes back with something else, I'll withdraw the answer. Here's the next one:

Is it a Bucker Bu133?

BTW What the hell is going on there? it looks like the guys on the ground are holding on to it with ropes. Actually it looks like they are swinging it over their heads. Like a strongmans version of the hammer throw!!

*edit* Oh I see, they're holding a sort of limbo pole!

Dang, that didn't last long! I thought it would take a little while. Very good, it's a Bucker Jungmeister. Here's another view ;) :

This picture was taken from the flight line with a regular lens - no telephoto or anything. They're both of the late great Bevo Howard, probably the last great barnstormer pilot.

Yup, Neon got it spot on 👍 , it was the prototype that first flew in 1935. The Swoose was very close in design, but unfortunately not the correct model ;)

I would say, off the top of my head, that's a Fairchild C-119, known as the "Flying Boxcar" in the States, and the "Packet" in the Empire.

Good call Duke. Again I think Mike has gone home so it's up to you if you want to post a pic.

Aha... is it the Nord N.2510 Noratlas?

*edit* yup I think I got it. Would anyone like to confirm?

*edit2* helloooooo....anyone?......anyone at all?....Where is everybody?
