Guess the Flag game

Title says it all.
A picture/description of a flag shall be shown, and all you have to do is say what it represents.

The flag categories can be (One must be stated in with the flag)
Active Country/State/Territory/Island/City/etc...
Historical Country/State/Territory/Island/City/etc...
Signal Flag (E.G. Motorsport colour, maritime letters etc)
Ensigns for official organisations

If you think that it's some random African flag, then you can search all of the African countries on google and see if a flag matchs up.
And it really doesn't matter if you know or not, because somebody could reverse image it and just lie.

When Guess the race track game took a turn into the obscure, Google became almost mandatory. Its just a case of how desperate are you to win the round and spent ages researching the flag. If it is, for example, the flag of Milan in 1382, that will take more than knowledge.

I wouldn't have much problem guessing national flags really. I've had most of them memorised for 13 years now.

Looks like an Old Japanese flag of some sort.

Okinawa was my first though, but all I can find is the Ryukyu Kingdom, so that would be it I guess.

I would have though that battle standards should have it's own category. I suppose it's up to Jimlaad.



EDIT: Clue. The flag represents a territory somewhere in Europe.
