Thats it? No new car?

Fail Gumpert.

They don't need a new car. The Apollo is already a monster of a car that puts money in their pockets, the only thing they can do now is make it better.

They did make it look like they were making a new car with the teasers but with most companies that make only supercars they don't change the body that often and only upgrade the performance. Isn't that the most important part of a supercar, it performance not how it looks?

Sorry I spoke.

I mean, its not like any other car company in the world upgrades looks as well as performance.

Except Porsche of course.

It's very hard to shape a body in such a way that it meets the downforce goal of the car's design by itself.

Well, that depends on the goal entirely. Also, Saleen got a few thousand pounds out of the wingless S7 (claimed).

The Apollo doesn't need to update its looks. It's already amazing visually. And more amazing from a performance standpoint. Easily one of the greatest cars ever conceived.

Having a successful product and not changing it is an unsustainable business model. This includes styling on a car that is already considered ugly by many.

I don't think they need to change the styling. The way it's styled gives it an advantage, most reviewers say its styling is what gives it tremendous grip and handling. And it may be ugly but it's ugliness is what makes it an icon, and look at Porsche they're 911 has looked the same since the first one ever built.

There is other car companies that used the same body with a few visual upgrades, the Zonda had about a 12 year run and the NSX had a 15 year run on basically the same design of all years. The Apollo is not even 6 years old, I say it would be at least 10 years before they make a new car design.

I don't think you can compare the late 80s/early 90s to today when it comes to car styling, cycle length or otherwise.
Having said that, why mess with it when the looks are more function then form?
