It's happening a lot to me too recently
For the playstation itself or GT?Same here, though it seems that the software update that came out today fixed it.
I highly doubt PD even bothers updating GT anymore, let alone maintaining network stability. The last update I think 2 months ago (?) was to fix a bug in single player races where you'd sometimes load up in a custom track and that was it. They must be working super hard on GT Sport. It's happening a lot to me too recently
I'll say one thing, for as much as I love GT6, it still remains a big disappointment. Actually every GT apart from GT2 was worse every time. There were so many things they should have kept from the old games, plus implementing new things. What they did instead was leaving behind old features from the past games and putting in a fraction of what they could. So, since this is going to be the first GT on next gen, they'd better take all the time they need, even if it needs 5 years I won't complain if in the end we finally get a Gran Turismo game, well thought in every single, small detail. I might be asking too much but when you have a big gaming development studio, and huge companies like Sony and Nissan (and other too I suppose) financing you, you should make sure that the final product is perfect in everything, and it would require just one thing to do so: to listen to thone who play the game.I highly doubt PD even bothers updating GT anymore, let alone maintaining network stability. I can't exactly blame PD. Of course the first 2 will be great since they just started on PS1. With GT3 coming out just after PS2, they had to be cautious as to what they put in and test the PS2's capabilities. GT4 was good too, although I personally liked 3 a bit better, many others would disagree with me. GT5 was like GT3 for PS3, but very stupidly, the Sony CEO at the time of GT5's development ordered PD to do 1000 cars rather than the planned 500 with a short time remaining before release, forcing them to make shortcuts porting GT4 car models over. GT6 couldn't be helped much since the team is so small yet must deal with the general "fanbase" 's unreasonable and ignorant demands and the overload carrying over from GT5, while also forcing all this data to work at the PS3's limits. I have hope GT Sport/GT7 will be MUCH better since they'll have a very advanced system to work with on PS4, as well as a bigger team. People often forget or just don't know how small the team is vs Turn 10 Studios working on Forza, yet consistently rivals them, despite lack of staff numbers, cash, and resources. Especially cash since Sony isn't too hot these days. Just give them all the time they need. I'm sure they'll deliver. If by some reason or other they fail, I'll unfortunately drop GT altogether. PC has plenty of [moddable] contenders...I'll say one thing, for as much as I love GT6, it still remains a big disappointment. Actually every GT apart from GT2 was worse every time. @ELmarcotuff works good for me now!
It's just a psn problemAnyone have better luck?
Of course, but as you said, they have hired more people, they have a better console to work on. Also if I recall correctly Porsche's deal with EA was coming to an end so we might see actual porches, or maybe just more RUFs, I wouldn't be mad! If I had to choose between Forza and GT for the driving of course I'd choose GT, since Forza's physics are more on the arcade side (don't know about FM6 though), but for basically everything else FM is miles ahead. I'm not giving PD all the fault, but what I wanted to say is that they're pretty good at missing occasions to make their games the best around. And example try as you said, if GT Sport disappoints again it might just be the end of my journey with GT, and I say that with a heavy heart, believe me.I can't exactly blame PD. Edit: Also licensing.
I wouldn't cut them there. Sport isn't 7. It'd be 7 that'd be the deciding factor for me. I'm deciding whether I want Sport or not. Race cars are nice but...not the same as building one from the ground up...Of course, but as you said, they have hired more people, they have a better console to work on. I wouldn't say GT6 is building a race car from the ground up. More like street cars that can go fast.I wouldn't cut them there. Sport isn't 7. It'd be 7 that'd be the deciding factor for me. You can slap numbers on a heavily tuned street car and make it a track day car. And at least you can build it.I wouldn't say GT6 is building a race car from the ground up. More like street cars that can go fast.

Well think about Shift Unleashed 2. Yes it had awful physics but in it you could actually build a race car or a trackday car depending on what you wanted, and you had roll cages and everything. My R35 in GT is the closest to an actual time attack car I have built, but it doesn't have front aero, even if it has a huge splitter and canards. GT4 allowed front downforce without adding a splitter -.-"You can slap numbers on a heavily tuned street car and make it a track day car. And at least you can build it.

We'll see how they evolve, I know that Sport isn't a full GT game but still, is ther jump from old to next gen, it will be an important step for my opinion. And so will be 7 though, as I already said, we'll see!
ARE YOU GUYS PRACTICING FOR SUNDAY'S EVENT? 'Cause I'm not..
I am... ish..
I mean, I'm just looking for cars to build, honestly. I had never been so serious about building a capable car in this game before (except for race cars). It's so much fun.
My MRS Spyder was already well balanced and suited for the circuit... but it's such an obvious choice. I'd rather race in a Bellett 1600 GT-R (which I plan on building soon ).
Your basically getting a lotusGreat choice! I love Isuzu's sport cars. In fact, I may be getting a Piazza Turbo for my birthday hopefully.
Your basically getting a lotus
Why would you want a sh-- box when you can get a Eunos?
Why would you want a sh-- box when you can get a Eunos?
I just wanted to tease you!Why are you posting here if you left the club?
It is. If it's old, hatched, often found beat up, but is still capable of being loved, it's a sh-- box. You know...like the Mirage Cyborg, CR-X, and Corolla GT-S.It's not a sh--box. Furthermore, it's much rarer than an Eunos and has Lotus suspension tuning.
Oh, and it's also pretty. So there's that.
I have to binge practice. I'm taking my plane home in two hours.Well think about Shift Unleashed 2. Edit: Flight was cancelled...may not get a flight til Monday apparently. Damn blizzards. Funny part is it hasn't come down yet and I should be landing even before it comes. I'll keep updating.
Maybe. If the car isn't capable of love and/or doesn't work period, it's not a sh--box, but rather, a piece of sh--.Guess we have different meanings for sh--box
But this would come down to your definition of love.Maybe. If the car isn't capable of love and/or doesn't work period, it's not a sh--box, but rather, a piece of sh--.
