Just swapped out my 15 year old 02 Sensors. 18mpg isn't brilliant

Guess which one is the new one:

The second X? pics aren't working

Pulled and cleaned MAF (With CRC Cleaner this time) and Throttle Body. TB had loads of gunk that came off. According to my Butt dyno car seems to have better throttle response and pulls harder in the midrange :D

Got myself a transmission jack from Harbor Fright for $80. Now all I need is the actual clutch. Got finals next week so I might do it during break.

@Slash how high do you reckon the car needs to be jacked up do drop the T56? Got a floor jack but don't know if it will go high enough...

It would be easier to do it on a 2 post lift with a transmission jack...I can drop a C6 which is bigger than a T56 underneath a pickup with about 2 feet of ground clearance and have room so I'd say around that with a little car. A floor jack might work, but it's going to be a tight squeeze and you need to get under there as well. Might be better off taking it to a shop unless you have access to a lift. If you have 4 jack stands I'd lift it as high as you can and them slowly work it up until you max them all out. I wouldn't work under a car resting solely on a jack.

Yea I got four 6-ton jack stands, a floor jack plus a set of Rhino ramps & chocks to work with. So once I get it up it's going to stay there. When I swapped my O2's I managed to jack the front wheels about a foot off the ground, which seemed enough but don't know for sure. Tranny jack is a low lift jack and claims it's designed for use with jack stands so I hope it will work out :nervous:

I wish I had a lift

Oh good then. With all that, you should be golden. If you have a bottle jack, stick a 2x4 on the end of it for leverage.

You should be ok though. I'd drive it up on the ramps, put a chock behind the rear tire then jack up the back, put stands up it, then the same for the front and pray its high enough. Going to be tough.

Well looks like priorities changed, my brakes went to hell so now's an excuse to upgrade them. Also gunna plastic dip my rims while I'm at it, was never a fan of chrome :D

Pics coming soon...

Yes.
What color?
Good.

I'm not sure if I personally would like the rims but the calipers will be awesome.
Beauty of plastic dip, if I don't like it, peel it off.
Wheels were a PITA to remove though, previous owner had a locking lug nut but no key. I had to take a regular socket, hammer it on, take it off, then remove the nut which is now embedded in the socket

You might want to try the glossifier they sell too, I used that on my corvette wheels and that really made a noticeable difference in the finish.

I agree the chrome never looked right on those cars. It also eventually flakes off anyway and is razor sharp! Believe me I know from experience. :scared:

The black wheels are going to look sick on there especially with the red painted calipers. Cant wait to see the installed pics.

I agree. Going to look sweet. I would hold off on powder coating though, since you wanted to upgrade the tire size to something wider, might as well save up for wheels and tires and put money there and leave these alone.

I think 18x9.5 and 18x10.5 would be good rim sizes :D
Maybe 18x11.5 if the rear can handle it.

I think he was talking about going 300+ in the tire department. I'd leave the rim diameter how it is and just get something wider.

Well he can't go 300+ without changing the rim width, I don't think.

That's what I'm saying. Change the width and leave the diameter which I think are 16s stock.

Could be 17s. Not sure off the top of my head. 18s look funny on F bodies.

Yes my current OEM WS6 wheels are 17's. I do plan on getting some bigger tires, and thus new rims. With a bit of fab work, you can fit 335's on these cars:

Probably not optimized for autocross though

Realistically I wanna run 285's up front and 315 in the rear. Can't wait till summer to hit the track!! :D

315's fit without too much of a problem, just a little hammering to the wheel well. Looks good though!

285's in the front? Holy grip. I can't even put 285's in the rear of my car unless I do major work(not that I'm ever going to).
