Hey, if you have some time, would you be able to help me with a tuning issue I've been having?
I've recently been tuning a bunch of cars for top speed runs on SSR7, and all of my rear wheel drive cars are giving me fits under braking
I'm very new to this style of tuning. I've tried a few different things, but have only had minor results, and nothing I would call a success.
There's only 4 braking zones on the whole track, but they're all pretty tricky at 240mph and higher. My problem is that as soon as I touch the brake pedal, the RWD cars get really "darty". It's almost impossible to brake them in a straight line, never mind while cornering as well (even though I'm using a DS3, I try to be extremely sensitive with my braking...I'm not just slamming them on).
I don't have nearly the same problem is my AWD cars, or the ISF for some reason. Is it because they are heavier, and more planted?
The cars I've been working on are: LFA, MkIII Supra, MkIV Supra, C63, RX7 Spirit R, 300ZX. Some are not as bad as others, but the LFA and MkIII are the worst.
To be honest I'm not even sure where to start. I've tried a bunch of tunes I found here on GTP, but none are really for that kind of high speed braking. I'm sure it's a combo of the brakes, suspension, and diff...but like I said, I'm kind of new to grip tuning.
Sorry for the novel
Any help, or a point in the right direction, is greatly appreciated
