Finally got around to taking some pictures of my guitars and amp.
First up is a Fender CD-140S that I just got this Christmas.

Then my first guitar, a SX Guitars knockoff Stratocaster.

Finally my Vox Valvetronix VT20+.

The Fender is a great acoustic and its not too expensive either. The SX is really great, to the point a friend said it was better than his Squier Strat. Most, if not all, of you will never of heard of them and I only found them by chance. I got mine through Rondo Music. It was a great value, with a 10 watt amp, gig bag, cable, tuner, and picks for only $115. The Vox amp is certainly a big step up from the amp that I originally got with my guitar. It has plenty of effects and amp models to chose from, though I would recommend picking up a distortion pedal, as the ones it has aren't the greatest. Then again I'm not really an expert yet, so I presume you could get some better tones out of it. Also not a bad value at $169 from Guitar Center.

Bought a Yamaha Pacifica on Sunday, took delivery today. :D

Here's an unboxing:

Nice unboxing! Dang they use a lot of tape....the suspense was killing me watching you trying to get into it! :)

Congrats on the new axe!

Cheers dude, it's a massive pain unboxing things when they've used 6000 yards of tape. I'm enjoying the feel of thing so far, really nice action. Oh, and apologies about the wall.

CMBeal-Nice guitars! Might want to put lemon oil on the fretboards though, they look a little dried out. :)

Tom-I hear ya on the packaging! The Pacifica almost looks like a bass guitar for some reason O_o But who cares, it looks awesome! :D

Sounds ridiculously good. I really need to get my band recording stuff. :scared:

The toneport is really good, great quality recordings!
I meant to post this track- it's a backing track I created but never got used in the end, displays the power of the Cort :D

And another solo piece, this is all bass, just with the effects on the toneport and a drumloop

Sorry if its a little jumpy, for some reason the link seems to be iffy :scared:

Mine- the pictures aren't taken by me, they are from the guy I bought it off, but it is my guitar.

I also have my first guitar, a Squier Affintiy Stratocaster Left handed.

Slight dilemma, I recently acquired a Yamaha Pacifica which was an early birthday present (my birthday is on Thursday) back in January. I haven't played it since the beginning of February and it's just gathering dust. I've had an offer to trade it for a Epiphone SG400 with IronGear Hot Slag Pickups fitted. I've owned a Vintage VS6 before and it was awesome, my question is, should I take the offer?

I wouldn't. Pacificas are wildly underrated guitars and the cheaper end Epiphones are rather overrated.

Just play the Pacifica. :P

Of course if you really don't like it trade it in.

The SG400 however is not the cheaper end of the Epiphone SG range, it sits firmly in the upper end of the range and has always been well received (and the ones I've played have been rather nice.

That said most of the Pacifica's I've played have also been top notch (not that I would personally say they are underrated at all).

What Pacifica model is it (as that will make a difference), and most importantly will changing it to an SG make you pick it up and play it? You need to work out why you stopped playing before just chopping to another guitar. Now if you just didn't get on with the Pacifica look at why and then see if the SG will change that.

It's a 112V. I've always had a great love for SG's and they feel great. I'm not sure if I should sell the Pacifica, wait until my birthday (Thursday) and then use the money to buy a Les Paul of some sort. I change my mind more than my underwear...

Just bought an Epiphone Explorer Gothic. :D

So much for that Les Paul, huh?👍

Dang, if I wasn't saving up for truck parts I'd go out and buy a real Strat and an Epiphone Dot.

Y'all are making me jealous :(

Truck parts? You're 13, what on earth's name do you need them for?

That 5150 head is

Got my Explorer a few days ago, pictures to come!

Here's my Epiphone Les Paul Custom Silverburst. It's my baby :3

Sounds great with the Marshall MG15FX amp I got with it last December, especially with headphones (which is what I mainly use so I don't make everyone else in my house go deaf, haha).

Yes, I know the equivalent Gibson version is 10 times better, but it's also considerably more expensive. This guitar, in my opinion, is one of the best you can get for $600.

Very nice, a friend of mine had one just like that a few years ago. He sold it for to help pay for his double bass. Shame I never got to play it though.

I might be getting a new guitar in the next few months, so I've begun the search to find what I really want. So far I've narrowed it down to the following guitars.

Douglas Gravity Semi-Hollowbody

There's only three right now but I will probably add to the list. All the reviews I've read say that they are pretty good guitars. Not too expensive either, which is perfectly fine right now. Someday though I will buy the more expensive guitars that these copy.
