As a die hard les paul fan, this one is pure comedy gold.
Mmm, I love those bolt-on necks on the Gibson Customs and those vintage style tuners.

Yeah. Or the strap button on the neck, the nashville style tune o matic which wasn't invented for some 25 odd years, the massive gap between the bridge and stopbar, the black binding, the fretboard looking like it's made of the cheapest, nastiest wood available, the overall terrible build quality and the fact that the tuners and hardware were identified as the same kind found on cheap knockoffs. Not to mention the fact that it's just plain ugly.
I've seen some people try and pull the wool over people's eyes on guitar forums, but this one took first prize.
Post it on mylespaul and see what they say.
I love my semi-hollow. It's an archtop Ibanez, nothing super fancy but great all around guitar. It still sounds good unplugged, for those nights when the roommate is home or the neighbors are in a cop-calling mood. That's about all I could gather too. Oh well. I wanted a semi-hollow anyway.

Just a question guys, it may seem stupid. Can I plug a guitar straight into a head without connecting it to a cabinet? Sorry, but I typed it up in Google and it came up with nothing, I'm also pretty new to guitars as a whole.
NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO
You will fry the crap out of it unless it has someway of dealing with the load. Some heads will allow you to run emulated outs via a headphone jack, but be 100% sure to check with the heads user guide before doing this.

Tom I take it from your post that you are just looking for the head for that money, in which case quite a few spring to mind within the price range, such as:
VHT Ultra 6
Jet City Picovalve
Marshall Class 5
Traynor Darkhorse
Hughes & Kettner Tubemeister 5 Head
Blackstar HT-5RH Head
Pretty much all of those would suit your needs, that most of them are around 5 watts is not an issue, with a good cab that's more than enough for most needs. Of the above I can vouch for the quality of the VHT and certainly the H&K and Blackstar would be good bets as well.
I've seen the Tubemeister 18 Head which has a great tone, would getting a used one of those be a good choice? I'll most likely be running a Zilla 2x12 if I have enough money. Also, what about the new Marshall DSL Range? If I could find a used H&K or Marshall then that might be a good option..
I would always recommend getting any used valve amp/head checked before purchase by someone who knows what they are doing. alternatly check out places that sell B-stock stuff (as it will normally have a warranty of sorts).
http://www.thomann.de are worth a look, I've bought from them in the past and the service has always been great.
The currently have a B-stock H&K 18 head for £367 - http://www.thomann.de/gb/hugheskettner_tubemeister_18_head_b_stock_3.htm
I'd recommend a Peavey Valveking, it will give you 5150/6505 tone and more for a lot less money. I played for years with a 5150 while my bands other guitarist used a Valveking and it was always a fantastic sounding amp that cranked up live sounded exactly the same as my 3x the value 5150!
The Tubemeister amps are great sounding though, Vox Night Train is another option, you could also look for a used Cornford Roadhouse, affordable PCB based amps instead of the handwired but they basically sound the same from what I've heard/read.
No, that would probably be of too good quality. This really is just a cheap guitar from Celebrity, ever heard of it? No, I had never heard of it either. I think it is New Zealand based (meaning that it won't be very good) because it says Celebrityguitars.co.nz... It's not a flash guitar, it just looks nice. Wait, it's not NZ based but this was still a cheap guitar in the first place.
