Struck a hell of a deal getting a guitar completely re-done and completely customized. Getting it sanded, painted, polished etc for free and then getting all new electronics and hardware, strings and the whole entire package for $20!!!!

All the electronics will either be Carvin or EMG's. Probably Carvin because it's cheaper. Awesome deal. I'll be sure to keep you'll updated.

Are you sleeping with this person?!

Not mine but the other guitarist in my band just upgraded to this lovely setup! The amp is a Cornford MK50II.

Gonna be a stark contrast to our old live setup where we both used high gain metal type sounds. My Ibanez Jem into Peavey 5150 and his Ibanez RG into a Peavey Valveking. We both now using Strats into Cornfords, though mine is the Hellcat and his the MK50II

Spent the better part of the afternoon and evening sanding down the body and neck of one of my guitars, stripping the paint and prepping it for new paint. Almost done, only got a little bit more to do.

EDIT:

Does anyone know where I can get full necks ready for installation online rather cheap? After sanding down the one I have today it's occurred to me that the condition of the fretboard and other bits aren't the best and I figured while I've got it torn down I might as well do a 22 to 24 fret conversion just to do it. Only thing that's got me worried is that there is a bit of fret overhang as it sits now.

Indeed. Why the sudden change?

I got myself a new amp last week. The last amp I had was a 100w Peavey Valveking halfstack. I was fairly happy with the head but the cabinet was quite poor. I had used the head with a few decent cabs over the years and it really showed me what a difference better speakers can make. I may buy another valveking head at some point if I start gigging in Japan, but I'll probably have to do a bit of shopping to decide on which cab to use.

Anyway, I spotted a Marshall class 5 half stack for sale in my area a while ago and thought I'd give it a try after reading a lot of good feedback about them. Plugged my les paul in and fell in love. The amp is perfect for me as it's fairly small and easy to cart around. I'll be using this for some recording and perhaps some gigging. It is quite low on features, but the clean tones are excellent. Now I get to indulge in a bit of peddle shopping to try and get some nice overdrive without having to crank up the amp too much.

Very nice little Marshall though I've not tried that particular model myself, what speakers are in the cab?

As for us, 3 of us (Myself, other guitarist and drummer) have been in bands together for years, a while back we decided we'd had enough of playing metal and wanted to explore other areas and thought we could perhaps do a better job of it than we could going forward with metal. Then with that in mind it was the perfect opportunity to change the guitar sound, we've both always loved Cornford amps so that was the natural choice.

Not only that but It appears Cornford are going out of business/production, the last dealer in the UK (Andertons) just put out a clearance sale knocking £500 off the MK50II head (so down to £1499) just in time for my guitarist to grab one, they are selling like hot cakes and I think when they are gone there could well be no more Cornford amps, Andertons suggested that the factory is shutting down production. Crazy for a company that just a few years back were growing on a large scale.

Jealous. I love Marshall amps but I'm a sucker for GK systems.

No where near as nice as some of your guitars however here is my first Guitar. Now all I have to do is learn how to play it. ;) , I'm planning to learn mostly over the summer when I (hopefully) will have lots of spare time.
Fender Frontman 10G amp
Squier Fender Bullet Stratocaster (Daphne Blue)

The guitar has a slightly bluer colour in real life of which my camera did a really bad job of picking up.

A couple of mine I am doing up at the moment. The strat I built, it cost almost as much as a Fender with parts I used. But really happy with how it came out and sounds. It can sound very strat if I go down to 9's. But prefer 10.5 or 11's so more PRS

The other is a 97 Korean Epiphone LP std. I redid the nitro finish and replaced everything with top shelf again.....always broke lol. But I love this guitar with a passion. Always been a Gibson fan but kids school fees and life.....a $150 Epiphone at a garage sale and another $600 in parts and I wouldn't sell it four times that. Heavy as a concrete truck but very playable

Some lovely bits of kit. Where is the "like" button when you need it.

I used to play in a stoner/doom band. But the last couple of years I've just been noodling in "my office"...

Here they are, a 2001 Std. Honeyburst and a Fernandes Customshop (Japan)
Leaning against a Marshall Class 5 and a H&K Tubemeister 18 going into a 1965A cabinet.

The amp in my avatar is a JCM900 MkIII, which I used in the band. Sold recently. A bit much 100W... @home

Many thanks.

As for the Spring Chicken. It is without a doubt the best reverb pedal I have ever come across, usable across the entire sweep; and while its only does spring reverb (unlike the majority of mutli-verbs around) it sounds utterly amazing. Worth every penny I paid for it (£150 once tax, etc was added), along with the wait for it to arrive.

Bought myself an acoustic guitar on Wednesday, arrived on Friday.

Its an Epiphone Dr-100 and it looks awesome next to my strat.

Sounds great, now I'm seriously considering buying one too. I've heard clips online but I'm glad to have your opinion, makes it easier to justify the purchase ya know?

For me its a keeper that's for sure.

Very nice maple top there Scaff. I've looked into getting a 24 Custom, but that's not going to happen for a while!

Never seen this reverb pedal before.
Hand-made limited run's that are available from two places, easily one of the best (if not the best) spring reverb pedal around.

If your in the US they are actually a bit of a bargain for what they cost, after I finished paying shipping, UK tax (at 20%) and 'admin fees' to UK customs it added a fair bit to the price. Yet its still worth every penny

I'm not a big reverb guy when I play so, even if it was a full production one I wouldn't know about it either  thanks though.

Somebody stop me!!!! Normally I let my wife be the voice of reason, but as I inquire about a new bass with her, I get a "Go for it!" response. With me responding with a "OMG" and "Are you serious?", her response is, "Life is too short to not enjoy it."

I love my wife! :D This, however, doesn't help with hold back. Anyways, here is my prospect of a purchases. I've basically said I would buy it from the Luthier. He's the same dude that build my custom Skjold 5 years ago. With that I KNOW this bass is completely over the top.

Specs: The bass has a flames Koa top, obeche body and katalox fingerboard with glow in the dark fret dots on the side and on the face. The neck is three piece ash and maple with the ash in the center. The pickup is the C-4 pickup with the selector switch and the SPM preamp with sweepable mids.

Pics aren't showing Pako. I can't wait to see it though.

Really? They are GTPlanet Attached images. Odd..... I wonder if anyone else is having issues as well.

I can view them on my iPhone, as well as IE (not logged in, view as guest) etc. I think you must have an issue on your end. *confused*

They are showing now.

I've been having issues with GTP hosted images since the site update. Jordan hasn't answered my requests to have it fixed. I can't see any, and when I upload them, they show in the box but when posted don't display. This is on PC/Chrome. On mobile, they show fine, until I post them, then they post sideways.
