I had a dream where my cousin ran in my room and opened his mouth extremely wide which somehow made my limbs become unattached to my body....I didn't die there but if I were still in that dream I'd bleed to death. That was probably my worst dream and my closest to dying in a dream.

Still, though. Nothing is worse than Sleep Paralysis. (Which I am an unfortunate victim of :()

Yes lol! One time when I was little I had a dream where a deer ate my head off! The others were me just being spiderman.

This is not really a "death" dream but when I was about 12 - 13 I had a very bad nightmare I think I was in a 'hell like' place getting repeatedly punched in a head by a guy who looked like similar to this
fighting-the-big-guy.jpg

Woke up sweating really bad with one of the worst headaches I have ever had. I heard from my sister that I was smashing my head against the wall in my sleep (this explains the punching to the head). Still one of my worst nightmares yet.

Hear, hear.

I've had it so often I've gotten to the point where I start lucid dreaming before it happens, as a defense mechanism, just so I can wake myself up or prepare myself for it.

Never really dreamt of dying. My dreams are boring. I'm too physically grounded. I can't break the laws of physics in my dreams. Can't fly, don't have super strength or agility (I did maintain a handstand in a dream for a pretty long time) and I can't dream of dying... my dreams are so realistic that when I'm in danger of death, I sort of just wake up from the phantom pain.

Yep. I have a couple of times had a gun pointed at my head in real life...

Who hasn't had some sort of near-death experience? I've had more than 3-4 knives pulled on me. Talking people down, out of killing you is something else.

I've been closer to being killed in real life, than ever in a dream.

I've only had one dream, really, in my entire life.

It was some sort of "what if" dream, where (judging by the ugly silver redneck hauler trailer we were in) the Nazis hadn't ever been defeated until the time of the dream; the 1970s. :scared: All I remember, really, was being interrogated. Wonder what I did...

And, that's the only AUP acceptable dream I've ever had, though none were ever wet.

Knives, guns, pipes, tear gas, riots, flying trucks, flipping cars... yeah... my real life is way more exciting than my dream life.

Because Phillipines has less-than-peaceful demonstrations?*

*Not trying to play high and mighty, they've happened in Canada, too. I've just not been around, somewhat thankfully.

I die in my dreams fairly often. I'm never "there" for my actual death, I always wake up a split second before I die. It's usually something like falling and I wake up just before I hit the ground, or I wake up just before I get shot or stabbed. My dreams are usually less violent now, I've been lucid dreaming lately which is way better than getting killed.

Dying in my dreams? I think I did, but that's more than 8 years ago. It happened at least twice. I was jumping off the roof of a building, and seconds later I was already reaching the ground. A very short moment of complete darkness followed (probably because I hadn't opened my eyes), and I soon woke up and found myself breathing faster than normal. I couldn't remember what happened the other time, but it was probably something similar.

I dreamed less and less of these things as I grew up, and now I hardly remember my recent dreams.

I have had many dreams where I fall/jump of something very high, however when I land I just roll (parkour style) and carry on (however I do get this very unpleasant feeling in the dream that makes the whole experience not that nice). However once I woke up as I hit the ground, so I'm guessing you can count that as death.

Hmmm, the closest I've ever come to dying in a dream, would be when I had a recurring nightmare as a child. Basically, a giant evil flying rocking horse destroyed the world. :P

I dream almost every single night. Some of them are very very strange like rats eating my fingers which results in me waking up from my dream yelling like crazy. I dont think I have ever died in any of my dreams. However I do notice I have worse dreams if I sleep on my back.

Just like Tommy Vercetti (GTA Vice City protag) when he jumps off tall buildings, eh. :sly:

I don't remember actually dying in a dream, since whenever I'm falling, I tend to wake up before I land.

Back in the middle school days I used to have dreams of falling off of bridges but I always woke up before I died in the dream.

I had a reoccurring dream for years, in which I came "close" to dying. In the dream, my older sister and I bobsledding down a rather large hill in New York. I am maybe 7-9 years old. Well, we lost all control of the sled. Which leads us in the path of a brick wall at rather unsafe speeds. Right before we hit the wall, I wake up in absolute cold sweats. Not sure if that counts, but that's the closet that I have gotten.

I don't recall ever having died in a dream but in the past I've been stabbed a lot in dreams, though, not fatally.

Well there's only one dream where I can say I've died in.

And that was me in BF2, as a Special Ops class soldier in Operation clean sweep. I did die a couple of times in that and always ended up respawning, didn't feel any pain or anything whatsoever :odd:

For realistic dreams, I haven't died in one... yet.

Well I remember one where I was mugged and stabbed but then I came back to life in my coffin 6 feet under and I got out (because screw reality) and tracked back home to a very shocked mother.

When I was younger I dreamt quite frequently situations where I was trapped between oncoming tornados and there was nothing I could do....I'd wake up in a cold sweat breathing rapidly and genuinley freaked out so bad to the point I would get up and look out the window to make sure there wasn't one coming towards me. Many different times that has happened.

I was tortured, cut, shot, burnt and beheaded.

Thw worst are the ones where you kinda have the control, but the outcome will always be bad. I already had tons of dreams (nightmares) where I knew what will happen next (I had the same dreams several times), so I am able to avoid some situations, but it never ends good.

Most of this stuff is too extreme to write it down here I guess.

Tornadoes aren't too common in NY, luckily for you.

I know. This was years ago, probably 2002-2005 ish before it all stopped, haven't had too bad of one since that I can remember. But I have others that were very odd and very scary, some that I can remember quite clearly and give exact details of it all. We did have one actual tornado in July 2009 near Darien, NY, (east of Buffalo). I was on a bike ride and thought the storm had passed,. Heard a roaring noise to my right that sounded like a jet/train loud fan kind of thing and to my disbelief there she was headed right at me, probably only a mile and a half to 2 miles out. It actually turned and came back up the way it had just passed over us and about 15 minutes before 2 funnel clouds had been spotted over a place called Oakfield NY were I go to school. Want to talk about scared ****less. I actually sat there for about a minute in shock until I realized I had to get the 🤬 out of there.

You'd be surpirsed though, tornadoes are actually pretty frequent up here over the last couple years, more so than before. Not like tornado alley obviously, but I've counted probably 30 or so just last year alone.

One other thing I can remember that I think led to my being scared of storms was a time I was washing the dishes and one was headed our way. I have an addition on my house so the kitchen window is above the sink nd you can see the wall go out to the left with a staircase to another door in front of the window. I kid you not a bolt of lightning came down in front of the window, curled back up with something that looked like a demon with both hands up making an evil face for about .5 seconds then it was gone. I threw the plates and said screw it I'm not washing the dishes again. This has never happened agian in my life. I pooped myself a little. No bull. I had never in my left felt a feeling so erie in my life, so real and it made my hair on my neck stand up. Almost like something out of a movie.

Boy, this thread is antique! Well, I had a dream last night. This time, I was in Russia (Don't even ask. I don't know either .). I could tell because of the flag and the Cyrillic language. As I was at an airport, a group of men with LMGs (light machine guns) started hip-firing at a bunch of innocent people. I luckily had ducked, but one of the madmen saw me. He ran at me and shot me. I could then see myself covered in blood and the armed men walking off. That is when I woke up, sweaty as ****. This felt weird because it reminded me of a mission in MW2, "No Russian".

Here it is:
Warning, it contains blood and violence:
