There are two things here:

  1. Qualifying will not include corner cutting, under any circumstances, and thus all vehicles will be watched during qualifying.
  2. Qualifying lap times will be recorded and documented for official documentation on my cellphone during ITCC qualifying, and then permanently stored in ITCC threads.

If you guys don't want me to count my practice lap times, the whole qualifying structure will need to be altered.

Or you could turn penaltys on for Q, only a thought

And how will I record the lap times?

Everyone can do a 1 lap shoot out for qualifying, they will be on the track one at a time and then we record your lap
Surely you can trust us :)

Yes you should quali same time with all of us.
But, if you guys don't want me to do that, sure, I'll qualify when everyone else qualifies and we'll all qualify last because people will be able to cut corners and the lap times/grid order will be wrong.

I trust everyone equally; I trust that you'll all cut corners until I can verify that you don't.

On top of that, if you've got 16 cars, 2+ minute laps, and 2 laps per car (warm-up lap, hot lap) then you've got 60+ minutes of just qualifying.

Sure, you could release one car every lap, so that the first driver's on the fast lap while the second driver's on the warm-up lap, but that's still 35 minutes.

You have a point or you can do what they do in the WRS where they all line up outside the pits and set off every 10-20 seconds then when everyone has finised you go out and we will record your time, but to do this you will have to reset the track so the times from practice aren't carried over

You do know that if you enter the track, set a time, then exit to the lobby your time should still be registered? If you set the fastest time in quali then exited and went to spectator mode the timing screen would still show you at the top. Yes if you wanted to check for corner cutting you would lose track time yourself but that's a sacrifice most series hosts make.

I already do reset the track.

However, you missed the part about no corner-cutting, didn't you? Simply unacceptable..

Exactly. Thus, I've given up qualifying.

I find it amazing that I ran a horrible time in practice, thought "that's good enough, people want to start qualifying," and then proceeded to get heckled even though I had one of the slowest laps of the entire week in my "qualifying" session.
