So suddenly 35s and 30s were pulled from god knows where on me

What AWD cars lack is accleration. We shouldn't make acceleration any worse than it already is on the AWD cars by reducing power on them. If the AWD cars had way too much acceleration and torque (Which they don't) than I'd be all for nerfing power on them.

So, suddenly, this is Joe's series?

Also, we *can't* just reduce the power further on the AWDs, that would be ridiculously unfair. My Evo would be a full second slower at 266 hp. And, we can't make the FFs faster by giving them more power, either, because they're already faster than the 4WDs on the straights.

We're going to add 25 kg. To the Evo, and 20 kg. To the Subarus, so that they both weigh 1350 kg.

And, on the topic of accidents, and penalties, woops... :scared: Is that your input, officially? The ITCC posts proof, as either a photo, or a video, of what happened, and Private Message them, detailing the reason for the penalty, so it can be fairly understood.

Putting a number beside someone's name, in all honesty, just seems to be an uneven/unfair way to assess the siuation. No one knows where the incident occurred, just that an incident occurred. Ooops. I might make the same mistake the week after, because what did I do wrong in the first place?
why do i bother you let me be a steward
heres a line from the op intro

Please, for everyone's enjoyment, have fun, race clean, and ensure that everyone is smiling at the end of the race.

if they were racing clean i wouldn't have done penalties so would you like me to go through each penalty?

this isn't joe's series but if i am to keep racing clean we need detailed rules explaining whats acceptable and whats not rules act criteria in incidents i was fairly lenient i could be even more stricter if you want

Yeah penalties are joke right? Where they come from? Everyone should know how/where they come to verify.

many of the penalties were small but you did enough of them to amount to 20 + seconds
i ignored bumping but took action on bigger incidents

^Exactly. But, the AWDs are better on their tires, and better handling. Adding even more weight might work.

And, I'm going to patiently await Willfred's reply before wanting anyone to mention the penalties again.

Edit: Tree'd

Jammy's right, we need to know what we did wrong. I know that I went into the pit lane, but only because I didn't feel like I had enough room.

i dont see the problem i'm doing my job
so jam your quali race 2
i gave 5 secs for an avoidable contact and 20 secs for an unfair pass you knocked the guy he went wide and you passed him this is in my eyes is an unfair pass by the end of the lap he did not pass you so i awarded you with a 20 sec penalty

You knocked "the guy?" The guy?

Who is that?

Willfred, when I allowed you to be a steward, I was simply asking you to report any/all incidents you saw to me, and to give your opinion. Then, I compile a series of evidential photos and videos, inform the drivers, and ask them to ensure that the action the penalty results from doesn't occur again.

20 seconds? 20? Seriously... I'll point out I am head steward here. 20 seconds is ridiculous. If contact is made that results in an unfair overtake, positions should be swapped. Or 10 seconds at most if a series of incidents occur.

And the drivers should see the videos/photos, so they can know why their position was switched/10 second penalty given. This has been the case of every ITCC season.

you all want clean racing yet nothing would have been done about any of the shunts or dirty passes if i hadn't gone through the replay.

perhaps we should all take this as lesson were not racing as cleanly as we think we are

I was not there, but in case of incident there is photo mode. Even a mobile phone can work, I use it for rapid uploading.

if you wait i can go through and do a video with a commentary of me explaining why i gave the penalties

Ummmmm, you're missing the point entirely. I have all day today to go through the replays, exactly as I plan to do. Seriously, please PM me with your opinions; lap numbersn and drivers involved. That's the only way I see, to give fair penalties.

This is touring cars. It's not going to be squeaky clean like you seem to expect it to be.

With all respect Wilfred, I got a heck of a lot of experience with touring cars online and I have watched enough events in real life to know that bumps and taps and door handle rubbing is part of the rubbing. When it's full blown divebombing and punting you take a stand.

there was dive bombing punting and pushing people into the wall

don't bother i'm not sure i want to race now as i'm getting hate for trying to make a positive contribution to the series

Since when was actually asking for your contributions and assistance hate? Really? :odd:

you all could at least perhaps look at the replay yourself think for a moment then criticise in a constructive manner rather than calling the penalties a joke
the only reason why i did this was because of the op as stated on the 17/08/2013
says nothing about stewards only drivers as seen below

7.1: -any driver who wishes to express a dislike towards a rule, or a ruling, must contact the Series Director.
7.2: -Any driver who wishes to see action taken following an on-track incident, or off-track incidence of verbal abuse, must message a Steward, the Race Director, or the Series Director. In the case of forum abuse, or a violation of the GTPlanet AUP, please report the message to the moderators. Please do not hesitate to report it to the moderators. They do not retaliate against you. Your report is anonymous and discrete, to everyone excluding the Site's moderators, and Administrators.

There is nothing about how stewards operate or what offences carry the most punishment i did what any logical person should do and use a well established fair system i expected it to be done by midday the next day but as there was nothing there nor was i contacted by a race director i did what a stewards meant to do

I err don't have the replay? And if you don't give people a chance you can't really claim as such.

Well 20 second penalties are harsh.

Well 20 second penalties are harsh.
whats acceptable to you lot then as i don't see that as harsh but fair if you want clean up the racing

I if driving standards improve actually this season, I might rejoin later one.
how else are we to improve them if we do not penalise them.
we could do heavy damage but i'm not sure people would want that

I didn't say "don't" penalise them - make the punishment fit the crime.... Heavy damage in these is a no no.
