A car in this series won't be competitive unless you can jack it up to at least 350hp and limit it to 276. I tried with the Fiat 500 last season, it went exactly to 276 and was miles off the pace.

I don't think the 500 Lounge can handle that much power. If it were the 500 Abarth, then it might be more competitive. In stock form, the 500 Lounge is below the minimum weight of 1200kg, so don't go doing any weight reduction with it if you were gonna run one. Especially not all three Weight Reduction Stages.

Lancer's a smart guy. He knows what he's doing.

By the way, all three weight reduction stages will bring that car down to 869 kg. Way back in 2012, there almost was a FIAT 500 Cup. It didn't catch on. :( Seemed like a good idea, though.

On the topic of the 500's lack of speed in ITCC, though, again, ITCC is all about the cornering speeds. Some cars might be 2/3 km/h faster than others, but that's the most. Then, factor drafting into the equation, and suddenly everything's centered on getting the FFs to rotate, the FRs to stay planted, and... both, for 4WD cars.

On the cornering speed front, for me the first corner could be taken around 50mph in third gear so I wasn't spinning the tires on acceleration. Second hairpin was in second gear at around 40mph and the final hairpin was at around 30mph at the slowest, also in second gear.

Is that the Subaru? If so, that's roughly what I was running, in both the Subaru and Evo. 👍 👍

The Fiat just barely clipped 276HP right before redline. The Megane I ended up running hit 276/266/256HP (depending on the race) at around 2000rpm and held it to redline. The Fiat's issue wasn't too much power, it was not enough power.

And I believe I took as much weight as possible off, then added it back and moved it to help with handling. ;)

That moment when the game Dc's you for no reason whatsoever in the middle of TOCACC

Oh noes! Well, you'll be early for ITCC if you want, then.
Nah. We still have Race 2. Now my Pro-am 2 domination streak is gone and with Resh gone we're screwed in race 1 :(

Goddamn you GT5 and you're crappy servers

On the bright side, at least it's only one race. :)
Well yes. Worth 20 points and all but it's just 1 of 2 rounds we're having today.

Now if GT5 doesn't decide to pull another trick on me I'll be fine :nervous:

The Scirocco can't be properly balanced against the other cars. It's way too fast.

Yes. I'm going to be going to college during the week, and then working on the weekend. This is one of the only time slots I have available.

eTati, the problem is that you're the *only* Californian interested at this time. Our main interest groups are Europe, Eastern North America, and a bit of Australia. The fact that we were able to find a time that fits all of those timezones was a miracle; however, it comes at the cost of the following regions: Russia, China, Eastern Europe, Western Asia, and Eurasia. They are typically asleep during ITCC races. California, also, because that's during the day.

Sorry, compromises were made to benefit our returning, trusted racers from our main interest areas.

You're welcome to join us, if you can make it to this race, but I'm not sure you can. I wish you good luck.

It's all good. i totally understand you want to have the most participants as possible. I'll just be over here all sad and stuff. This is one of the most exciting-looking series I've seen. Wish I had Fridays off.
