Jammy, okay, then that top speed seems perfect.

The full series will race in the feature races, but the qualifying races set the grid. ;) in order for anyone to start in front in the first feature race, they need to qualify in the qualifying races as well as possible.

1:27.7 (not telling) 276hp top 204kmph (sports hards)
nobody 'cept the series director shall know the car i'm running at least till race day

Opportunity for blackmail?

Dude, I really hope you don't use that car, though. Look, 4 km/h too fast. Because that car is a mid-engined supercar. :dunce:

Willfred, 1:23.4 is fine! :) congrats, that's a relatively fast time.

But.... I'm sorry, I can't allow the 120d in at 290 hp. If I remember correctly, it was actually run at something like 246 hp, and 1270 kg.

when at 270 my best was 24.5

That car is wicked quick if my memory serves me correct. I remember the first preseason test for Season 2 and it was the fastest car out there. The Scirocco R I was running at the time was second-fastest.

It is. That's why I'm recommending the 246 hp, 1270 kg.

Of course, Batista was a very fast driver, too, so... It might not be as bad this time around anyways.

i ain't quick it/ i lost time in corners compared to other cars

Well, whatever. I've just found a 24/7 dubstep TV channel. I'm obviously in a good mood. MUST DIE!, Afrojack... 👍 Canada. 👍

I'll see you guys at the pre-season test. Willfred, just run 276 for the preseason test.

Edit: if I were grumpy, you'd be running 246.

Did a quick test with two cars at Cape south:

Ibiza Cupra (276//1200): 1:21.964 (205kph)
Golf V (276//1200): 1:22.032 (no Aero available) (204kph)

And I tested the S60 Volvo, Vauxhall Vectra and the Ibiza at TGTT:
VX (276//1228 weight can´t go lower): 1:17.4
S60 (276// 1261 weight can´t go lower): 1:17.2
Ibiza (276//1200): 1.16.1

At the moment I´m between Ibiza and Golf V.

BTW: For TOCA I had to test really often at Cape South, and the more you get to know the Track the faster you become and the better lines you discover).

Will test the VX and the S60 at cape too => but they still need respecing due to minimum weight over 1200kg ;)

Would you recommend adding power or something? I'm surprised to see the lap times so much slower for the Vauxhall and Volvo. :scared:

What's a Volvo? I've only heard of the Trollvo, which Furry was very glad to use in TOCA and this series. :P

:scared: Oh noes, the dreaded Trollvo!

Any chance I can use the commodore SS?

Has your Ford broken down? You're siding with the enemy!

Otherwise, Ausse V8s rivalry aside, 266 hp/1270 kg. At the preseason test. 👍

Nope ford still going strong, But PD failed to recognize it in GT5, a$$hats!,

So when all else fails I will support Australian built Chevrolet,

I'm not letting the Aussie Ford in. Sorry. Surprised to see you go for a Chevy, but if it works, it works. Try it out. :)

Hahahahaha, Not the V8SC for obvious reasons, But had the FPV range been added I'd be looking at the FPV GT or the F6 Typhoon,

Volvo S60 is on pace at Cape for me: 1:22.1xx surprised me though :D (202kph)

VX again slower but it feels good actually: 1:23.0xx

Well a little more power would be ok for the Volvo and a bit more power for the VX ??

VX has no Turbo maybe that´s the reason ??

I would do following first:
Volvo S60 (not the C30 !!): 286bhp (the next setable powersetting)
VX: 286bhp (if its still "too slow" drop her or raise on step or downgrade some others ;))

A car in this series won't be competitive unless you can jack it up to at least 350hp and limit it to 276. I tried with the Fiat 500 last season, it went exactly to 276 and was miles off the pace.

Braun, check back in an hour. I'm going to have a full-length post for all of the final details I want to go over; Countdown timer, "hours until event" for timezone clarification, ideal schedule for all four races, and any other final details I think I need to cover. 👍

Standing by for details.
