I noticed in my brief time yesterday on Daytona that my Subaru is not an omnipotent Titanium Gray track monster, straights are a wee problem :ouch:

I can solve that I guess :dunce:

What? Why not? Gearbox problems?

Edit: I remember now! A 256 hp Scirocco set that 1:51. The Volvo, Evo X, and Subarus, were all at 1:53s (Subarus) and 1:54s (Evo X, Volvo.)

No. I think I can sort out the gearbox or I'll have to rely on draft for those parts of Daytona.

I think I can sort out the Gearbox. I can still hit 240 kmh on straights.

Remember, some random guy joined the room in an Integra Type-R, and I ran a lap in a Scirocco with 256 hp. The 1:51 lap was either the Integra or the Scirocco. :( they're both inexplicably fast.

:nervous:

Somehow I lost time on the chicane in the back straight, I stayed inside the track and went as fast as I could but still somehow lost 2 entire seconds

One last thing I forgot to mention:

ITCC Lap Times + max speeds @ Cape Ring South:

1: Sparkytooth - Subaru Impreza WRX STi '07 - 1:21.8 - 200 km/h
2: SpeedyishOLLY - Subaru Impreza WRX STi '07 - 1:21.9 - 200 km/h
3: braunracing88 - Subaru Impreza WRX STi '07 - 1:22.0 - 200 km/h
4: MrMelancholy15 - Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X - 1:22.0 - 199 km/h
5: T-n-T-2000 - Toyota 86GT - 1:22.2 - 198 km/h
6: Willfred_1 - ??? - 1:23.2 - 199 km/h
7: Ettick_ - Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X - 1:23.4 - 200 km/h

Post up your lap times and max speeds! :)

My Impreza is actually a 2010 WRX STi.

Ah, good good, I forgot.

^ Integra Type-R. The random guy who joined with the Integra Type R had an overpowered car. People from season 1 will remember, the Integra was still fast enough to win at 246 hp, and the guy from testing was at 276 hp. He was literally 2 seconds faster because his car was 5 seconds faster. the guy was actually 3 seconds slower as a driver, but still set a 2:01 lap time because he was in the fastest car.

Don't worry, sparky, you were faster in your Impreza than I was in the Evo, by a tenth of a second. ;)

I did my first test with VW Golf VI R '10 @Cape Ring S
-lap time 1:23.3
-top speed 197-198 kmh

Also, the Peugeot 207 GTI isn't a car that can be fitted with any aerodynamic devices. Same with the Volkswagen Golf V. I know because I have one of each and have tried to see if such kits can be added. To no avail.

Braun, I say that the cars should have them if they're available. It removes one less variable in the spec's and BoP assignments. Basically, in this case, it's ideal because it simply lets people know before they finish building the car, that the spec's were done with the downforce.

Me in the Opel:

1:25.063
202 km/h

Then I realised I was doing that in 267bhp .

And you still hit 202 km/h? :sly: Opel power!!

What sort of rear-anti-roll-bar setting are you running? I don't think I'm alone in saying that the Opel is a front-heavy car with a lot of power/torque to the front wheels. So, fighting understeer is a good idea. 👍

I fight it with my GGT Mercedes and many other cars I drive (I usually avoid oversteer).

Ideally, you'll be able to rotate the car, without spinning.

Oversteer is bad, but so is understeer.

I'm saying that your tune's probably wrong, since you're running a 1:25 (not the slowest lap) despite having the fastest top speed. Either your car falls off of the non-turbo power band which seems to point me to your car not handling well.

Your words, not mine.

I mean, there will be people for you to race against, too, but I'd recommend putting time into a bit of practice and tuning (doing both at the same time is fine) if you want to win.

Otherwise, good luck beating whiskymaser. He's running surprisingly well, I don't think he'll be last this year. That'll be sparkytooth. He'll pull off the track and play pokemon.

Stiffen the rear roll bar. Give yourself about 2 degrees of camber. Ummm, make sure your gearbox is set to be just a bit above the top-speed at the track (so that you're almost redlining in 6th gear).

These are tips for all ITCC drivers. 👍

Make the number go bigger.

Stiffen is tighten, in technicalities, but then there's also the thickness, density and tensile strength of the ARB which will also differ its effectiveness. Saying "stiffen" is just a simple way of saying "make it more effective, make it stronger" or something similar.

How many drivers are in those two feature races? Only those 8 qualifiers?

As in OP. I could say 196-198 - i could go over 200 but then i'm off the track because too late braking :)
Downforce was stock (0/15).
 198?! How many hp?

Oversteer is the secret of life Resh. For you not to use it to your advantage means you're missing out.
