Bay looks like this, but with gold tophats. I have a lot of gold already, so more might be overkill. I hate the blue plug wires, but NGKs are the best quality. Maybe a high shine silver or crinkle coat black.
Yeah, maybe.Same color as the car might work.
Yeah, maybe.
That would be cool too. I'm looking into having it anodized gold.Montego Blue with gold lettering?
Bought it off of Rev9's website. It doesn't seem to change the sound that much however.Where did you find that Mazdaspeed Airbox? I've been looking at simple mods to liven up the sound on my Miata and the Mazdaspeed exhaust and Airbox have both hit my interest.
You massive tart.
Car shutoff on the freeway, so I got to make use of my tow hooks. When the engine turns, the camshaft doesn't move, so I think the belt is broken. Lovely. Off to 949 Racing this week.
We'll see when I tear into it tonight. I'm so glad its non-interference lol.
If the the cams aren't moving I can't see how it could be anything but the timing belt. Unless it somehow broke the cam gear?
On the brightside, Yay for a non-interference engines
Correct.I'm not that mechanically minded much but I take it in an interference engine the pistons would've just smashed the valves into submission?
I'm just amazed someone get it. Most people think it says "Anita Baker" or "Not a Baka".I love your license plate
I'm working on it haha. Should be installing the new valve cover and cleaning the engine this weekend. That's what was holding me back.AHahAHA Anita Baker
It's one of the coolest touches in your car. I still need those pics!
I should get a little Asuka sticker to put back there.
That's acceptable.I must admit I thought it was 'not a baka', as in 'not an idiot'.
Timing belt wasn't broken, but it was missing teeth. I can't tell how it happened though, I didn't see any weird wear marks anywhere.
New belt is installed and it runs much better. Well it did until it spit off the water pump belt because i didn't tighten the pulley.
I should be able to finish it up tonight.
35k miles...The worn edge of the belt was on the engine side, but I didnt see anything that would've messed it yup like that. I did a lot of checking with the new belt during install; everything rotates smoothly. How old is that belt? It looks like the front edge was also in rough shape.
