👍 It's a VTEC so I shall keep it off-cam :D

One lesson you might wish to learn from NGO's is to exaggerate the situation to collect money, saying you're forced to drive a 20-year old Diesel without MOT might create more sympathy than implying you might, heaven forbid, enjoy the experience although low-revving a VTEC might indeed be a very frustrating experience.;)

If you have any spare you need to give Kaz some GTPlanet merch!!

For a question you could ask what's he looking forward to most once GT5 ships, and whether he has a nice break planned. He deserves it.

You could, then I'd get the house to myself for the forseeable future :D

Ah, I hadn't thought about that. In that case scrap that idea as without a man in the house who knows what mayhem could ensue  :D

Hats off to you for agreeing to this as I know my missus would need some serious sweeteners if I was doing it and my home DIY list would increase considerably. Actually it wouldn't be an easy decision to leave my wife and son for the best part of a week so hats off to Famine too.

Kaz question: What was your first driving experience as a child/young man and what has been your most memorable and enjoyable driving experience in real life?

Yes Famine it seems we indeed have different understandings of what we see as leisure / work / obligation..... hmmm. And upset? No, just wanted to know why such an exeption to ask money. Of course not against anybody helping you guys out money wise, everyone can spend their money just as they wish. Your op just arised some questions, but I'll survive without an explanation.

edit, about the uneployment since 2008 thing.

It's a lot of money (and time) to expect anyone to fork out - and people previously offered to donate to the site to get Jordan to E3. They didn't get the opportunity to help out back then, but they can now.

In the event a member is asked to cover TGS, I will help them out as I have been helped.

My wife's salary covers all the essentials. We try to live within our means - which isn't always easy.

I'm inspired by ordinary people doing wonderful things for the greater good of a bunch of forumites!

Question: Most people would expect to be comparing GT5 to Forza 3, or other console games; (it seems that, with the inclusion of full rule sets for NASCAR etc., GT5 might actually also be aiming for some of the features in PC Sims?) Should we expect valid comparisons with those [PC Sims] instead / in addition?
Paraphrase as necessary. I'm always overly verbose...

By the way, I've not had a "job" since Christmas of 2007. Good times. :dopey:

A famine thread, That is mildly amusing, Also shows emotions, because Originally, at first, i thought you were a lovely cold hearted emotionless machine, But i do not hate you, I do wish i could help you out, But my paypal is spitting dust, And i do not mess with Credit cards.. What i can do is wish you a happy fun fulfilled safe trip, As well as a "E" toast..to your generous cause

End utter less babble. In a nutshell, Thank you and have a nice trip 👍

[at first, i thought you were a lovely cold hearted emotionless machine

That's probably also true. After all, I did tackle my wife at hockey last night. And I was in a full keeper kit.

But thank you and thank you!

(I'll be taking a bottle of my own, homemade limoncello with me - see, I'm so impoverished that I don't even buy myself alcohol!)

 Hard times call for desperate measures, No matter how spontaneous they may be 👍

BTW, ide love a bottle of this so called jungle juice.

Well here's £4 for a beer/wine/decent alcoholic drink

Hope you guys enjoy GamesCom!

In any case you better not forget the cameras!

EDIT: As for the question: Can we have SSR5 and SSR11 put together to make Special Stage City or Special Stage 16? (11+5=16) (Credit goes too those in the SSR11 thread

Part 2

Corollary to this, I'm holding a little competition.

There is a distinct possibility that Venari and I will be allowed in the same room as Kazunori Yamauchi, with one witness and, presumably, Translator-san. This is not a guarantee, but a possibility.

I have been preparing a number of questions for this eventuality, predominantly in Japanese (I won't understand the answers, but that's what Translator-san is for). They are largely obvious ones - standard/premium issues, location/variation issues, dynamic environments, favourite brand of cigarettes, that sort of thing. I am inviting less obvious questions from GTP members - questions that Kazunori will laugh at and/or remember and keep GTP in his mind. This doesn't mean they cannot be about GT5 too. In the event that I do get any time to ask Kazunori questions, the last one I ask him will be the best one submitted in this thread by Monday evening (16th August). If I only get to ask him one question, then that will qualify as the last question so I will only ask the best question submitted here in preference to any of my own.

Whether or not you donate to our GamesCom fund will have no bearing on consideration for what the best question is. The best question is, simply, the best question.

Thanks in advance to all you donors, and good luck in advance to the question-submitters.

Awesome thanks for doing this.

Q1. is flat shifting disabled again, after Spec II it was no longer possible, (even tho In real life I flat shift with a good clutch when I race my cars.)
If it is disabled could you comment on the gearbox
de bounce speed (the speed which the PS3 recognizes a successful shift, too fast it just goes to N), after Spec II change if you shifted too fast it would just display Neutral, this is stupidly annoying, and hard to get right when using a H pattern clutch etc.

My question would be can we please get a full car list, and track list and full feature list, the game is seriously close and obviously in print, so don't you think its time to release the full details.

Question 2. can we all shoot your PR team for not giving clear and informative information this last year or so. do you think the GT fans deserve better then to be kept in the dark.

Quite dark questions I know but this is the way they feel perhaps ask these 2 last, as he would probably end the interview if done at the start

Thanks once again

I don't have a Paypal account... But I found a very dusty £5 note this morning underneath my bed, so i'll set one up in the next couple of days and pass it on :)

I'll have a think about the question... I was thinking maybe "When is your Dolmio day?", but maybe he won't understand that, not sure they have that advert in Japan :dopey:

thanks for doing this. :)

as for the question:

What type of modification are on GT5, Will there be engine upgrades, suspension upgrades, body Kits and Liveries?

I keep telling him this. But, I'm sure you're aware how difficult it is to secure a job nowadays, especially when qualified in what is essentially a niche. And, this trip is in one week. I don't think it's possible to find a job and be paid a salary from it within a week.

He has a loving, understanding and hard-working wife. I expect part of these donations to fund my "I'm sorry I went to Cologne for the best part of a week" gift ;) :mischievous:

You could, then I'd get the house to myself for the forseeable future :D

👍

A question for Kaz: hypothetical scenario, the world's oil supply has run out and he's given access to the last few gallons of fuel to use freely in the way he wants to ( he can only use it to burn, not keeping it for scientific use ), how is he going to use it? :)
Ford GT for sure.

You don't have to get the Signature Edition.

And I have donated my $16.19, er £10.

EDIT: I almost forgot my question.

With the ACO introducing an Intercontinental Cup to the LeMans series this year, which will include the new Asian LeMans Series, will we see that represented via tracks and cars, maybe even as a race series/championship, in GT5 or future iterations of the game?

Secondarily, I would be curious if he is excited about the introduction of the Asian LeMans series.

I'm not even sure I can stretch to a normal edition now :(

Edit: Though one person has donated the cost of a collector's edition..!

Hi,

I think it's a great idea. Well done, keep up the good work!

Greetings from Cologne
ItsHim's misses

I was going to sponsor a team from another site (the other site?), but they were able to reserve a haystack or something to spend the night. So I might as well help you out a bit and have donated some pounds on your Paypal account. Oh, and I don't mind if you guys get slammed the night after the press conference, because of all the great news (or lack there of). :dopey:

"The modeling on the premium cards seems like a hell of alot of hard work, are your modelers still sane?"

I'm not even sure I can stretch to a normal edition now :(
Your situation sounds worse than I had assumed. I am having trouble picturing you, of all people, without a copy of a GT game.

Hmm. Well I can't donate any money towards this GTP trip, but I can donate a question: Is there posssibilities that DLC may be released? And if so, what would it have in it?

👍

We have a very complex schedule to stick to, however, and you may not be allowed in on the press day - it'd be a bit of a wasted journey for you if so.
I can adjust to whatever complex schedule you have to stick to. As for not being allowed in on the press day, that could be a problem for me.

We can pick you up if you wish? I'll be borrowing my wife's 4-seat car and we're planning on doing Dover-Dunkerque, and then A10-A3.
Thanks.
If I'm not allowed in on the press day, then it's a wasted journey for me as well. And how can I get home.

If there's a way for me to get in on the press day (not that I want to but it's the only way I can help and would love to help. Let me help), my offer stands.

Think/ponder/talk about it and let me know.

Chris out.

There's worse situations to be in than deciding whether or not to put £50 out on a game. The three of us - and the dogs and mogs - get by just fine and it's marginally more beneficial to us to have someone normally at home than it is to have two salaries and no-one normally at home.
