You can send it to me if you like. It won't be offical from the Boss. But I've got the cut off times in my inbox still from when I registered (May 27 2005 :lol:). So I'll be able to tell you what division you'll be in if you like. That way, you can still run this week, and Cyril can make it all offical when we checks his inbox.

You don't need sector times to submit your qualification time. Final time should be enough. 👍

However, probably a better way is to still run and submit for this week. And include your qualification time with this weeks race time submission. That way you can kill two birds with one stone.

Hello All!
New to the site and the WRS. But I've been interested in getting involved in on-line racing since GT2. Not official yet, but I'm hoping my time is acceptable, (submitted to Flat-out on 06/01/06). I guess we'll see. I've been happily married 10 years and been down with GT from the beginning.

This is a very well put together site and I'm digging it more everyday. So impressed, I paid for premium. Keep up the great work guys!

Best Regards to all!
:sly: 👍

joined just to participate in the WRS. can't wait to see what division I'll be placed in :)

my name is Ken, time trialer in real life with NASA in my '91 MR2 NA and a pretty avid GT4 player. Recent college graduate off working with a land developer located about an hour away from Deal's Gap (...318 turns, 11 miles...)

did alot of races similar to the WRS here on smaller boards and I'm looking foward to playing in a bigger "pond" so to speak

I haven't been here for quite some time now.. I have been busy getting into college wooot.. haha:D Anyways, Im Justin and Im from Canada. Im addicted more then ever to the game and seeing as though my time is still 8th I think im going to be fairly competitive.

^^^^

There isn't one to send you!

The only time anyone apart from the admin (Cyril/Flat-out) knows, is their own.

That's the whole idea of it mate.

Neil

Kent and CFM used to do it. I mean, sending the qualifier leaderboard to qualified racers who requested it.
I don't do it myself, I don't see the point. The list of qualified drivers (thread pinned in the WRS forum) lists all drivers with their gap to the fastest time, so that everybody can check where they appear in the list but only qualified people can infer what other racers times are.
(Hope it makes sense, it's a bit early here :) )

Hey im tom, i love short races in stock cars from the 80's 90's and sometimes older. I specialise in Heavie cars with a lot of turbo lag and Power bands. Well welcome Tom 👍 this series basically has a new race each week and the cars, tracks and format vary every week. Here you will find many threads that will answer all questions you have about the WRS. Of particular interest will be the following threads:

1. WRS Qualifier (Necessary to be placed in a division)
2. Frequently Asked Questions (Useful for answering many common questions)
3. This week's race (If you're really keen you can jump straight in the deep end :sly:)

Good luck :)

Hi my name is SAMEER, I am one of the very few South Africans on GTP. I would have joined earlier, but only received feedback on my qualification a day or two ago, I am a German car specialist, and love my M5 as well as short technical courses especially Cote de Azur (hope I spelt that right)

I qualified in DIV2, and hoping to climb up the ranks.

Hi there,

Ive been searching and came across you guys 👍

Im into my GT4 racing, and wondered how I join up so to speak.

I run a GT4 league on the 200sx owners club (http://www.sxoc.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=224201) and would like to broaden my racing skills.

The link, links you to our latest round which was the nurburgring in the Sauber C9 Merc Race Car, where I managed a cool 4.58 :) (my personal best)

Ive also read that you have to upload replays to computer? How is this possible without a HD? Im not intending on buying stuff for my ps2, due to PS3 coming out in the next few months (we hope!:) )

Cheers for reading :)

Tim

Reading carefully all pinned threads in the WRS forum should answer most of your questions, including how to join ? and how to extract a replay ?.
And if you like the 'Ring, we're also using it this week (well, actually it's a double length race, so 2 weeks). So I suggest that after having read the pinned threads you jump into the M3 and the C5R, run the best hotlaps you can and submit both times to me by July 18th.

Oh, I almost forgot : welcome to the WRS Tim !

Thanks Flat-Out, I have been reading the other posts and now understand :)

So a couple of hotlaps are needed.

I'm a machinist and race quad cross country and endurance. Big GT4 fan, I just bought a new house and hope to have a cockpit set-up in a month.

hello gtp friends,
well i cannot say that i am new to gtp but i never got to properly introduce myself.
my name is steven but i like the bigracer nickname in gtp. i am 44 (!!!) years old and very crazy about this game that takes up so much of my time.
i am married with the girl i met 20 years ago and have a daughter of 11.
in the professional life i used to be a marketing communications specialist, a banker, an e-business advisor and a management consultant.
but then i turned 40 and decided to do what i like most - cooking. so now i am a chef in a big restaurant.
like some others i begin to like admin stuff in gtp as much as playing the game itself. also i like to be active in more than just one challenge, so i play around in wrs and arc and dan's 2.3 and gtx/str and some more.
we live in holland but own a little place in mid-france where we spend most of our holidays.
my car isnt that much - pug 205 - but it gets us where we want to go always.
besides gtp i also like to tune around in gtvault, where the best tuners live.

Hey, TRYING to get started here at the WRS. I've been doing alright in a couple Spot Lap Time Comparisons in the other forum, and having fun.
I had a couple questions, though. The car specifications list in the races, are those the ONLY mods that can be done, or are those the ONLY mods that are limited?
Also, for the HP limits, which HP # do we go by, since they are different in a few places?
Also, what are the three times we have to submit, T1 T2 and final? What are those? Thanks for your help, look to be getting going in this soon.

For arcade races:
(Like this week)
Car specifications :
Chevrolet Corvette C5R (C5) '00 :
(car can be purchased at the Chevrolet dealer).
  • +15% power (700 hp) ;
  • -10% weight (1,025 kg) ;
  • any top speed ;
  • any driving aids ;
  • any transmission mode ;
  • racing medium tyres
It's pretty straight forward. Find the track, find the car, then adjust the Power, weight, top speed, driving aids, transmission mode and tyres, in the Quick Tune section. +15% Power is the maximum you can have, the 700HP is taken value up the top (Not on the replay), -10% Weight is the minimum you can have.

For GT Mode with Restrictions: (Like this week)
Car specifications :
Subaru Impreza Premium Sports Coupe 22B-STi Version (GC) '98 with the following restrictions :
(car can be purchased at the used cars dealer)
  • no NA tune, no turbo upgrade, no intercooler (358 hp) ;
  • no NOS ;
  • sport soft tyres or harder ;
  • no wing ; (edited)
  • all other parts are allowed ;
For this example, you can put everything you want on the car except for NA tune, Turbo, Intercooler; Tyres harder then Sports Soft; And a wing. It should equal 358hp. In GT mode, the HP figure is taken from the value to the left of the graph up the the top of the set-up screen. Not the replay or garage value.

Ok, thanks. And what does this mean?:

please include in your submission PM your name and all 3 times (T1 split, T2 split and final lap time) ;

It's news to me you had to put in split times. But anyway, run the qualifier, save your ghost replay. Go all the way back to the main screen, go to Replay Theater, find your replay and play it. Make sure your replay is on Display so when your T-Times come up you can write them down. On Infinion the two T-Times are between corners 4/5, and just before the ridge that leads you onto the back straight.

Then send Flat-out a submission like this

Final Time 1'23.456
T1 - 12.345
T2 - 56.789

Or something like that.

However. Flat-Out is out of town for a few days, so you may have to wait to be put into a division.

Thought I'd toss this in here, as well as in the Pit Stop...

When you put up a replay for a race, please pay some courtesy/respect to your fellow racers and upload and check one of their replays.

I shouldn't need to come back to races that I haven't even raced in, let alone needed to post a replay of my own, weeks later and do a bunch of replay checking. I spent over two hours loading/checking replays tonight, and didn't get any time to race. I know I'm not the only one doing this either. Please take the time to check at least one other replay if you post your own each week, it'd help a lot.

Thanks WRS'ers!!!!

By the way, week 59 has a bunch of NTSC replays that need checking. I'm retiring for the night, so... You should get the drift. :sly:

I agree 👍 I quite like watching other people's laps but we're gonna have to share this job around in future to make sure we don't get a backlog like this again.

Well said 👍
You've both (you and MisterWeary) done a really fantastic job pulling those results threads together over the last few days and its much appreciated, but we do all need to be more conscientious about providing replays (esp. when required) and checking at least one other posted replay from now on.
I promise to do my bit in future :)

Thanks again :cheers: (ticks all round!)
