High School

No Track practice today because of snow. I got all of my work done so I'm ready to play games for the rest of the day.

One of my friends that is a girl finally got asked to prom. She has been complaining for months about nobody asking her. If I felt mean sometimes I would make a joke or two about her not being asked. I guess my ears can take a break now.

Forgot to post a bizarre story that I have here. A couple of days ago, I got a supply/cover teacher that was apparently pretending to be illiterate and it 🤬 me off so badly that I walked out the class room and complained.

I'd probably do the same thing honestly.

I hope tonight the temperature drops below freezing so the roads and sidewalks can freeze over and then we would have no school and a two-day week. About as improbable of FGCU in the NCAA buy they didn't give up, so why should I?

Just applied for pizzahut so I can buy a car for my senior year. I saw a used toyota MR2 GTS with under 60k miles for $5,530. Not bad. If any minor problems come with it I could repair it myself.

Found where my chemistry teacher gets most of her homeworks, and they have online answer keys. NOICE!!!

Is it high for this car?

Well, it's a sports car so yes. Not to mention it's only a two seater. Even though it doesn't have much power, it will cost an arm and a leg because it's a sports car and I'm assuming your talking about it as a first car. Even in a non sports car the insurance is high for a first car.

If I get a MK2 Supra, I'll be paying around $1200 a year, and that's a four seater.

If you're a boy, premiums are higher. If it's RWD, premiums are higher, if its a two seater, premiums are higher. If it's old, premiums are higher, if it's a sports car, premiums are higher. So pretty much, it's high. My first car will most likely be my grandfathers mid 90's Ford Contour, it runs perfectly and is so awful as a cool, fast, or decent car, I don't think my insurance will be too bad.

I am also looking at 6th/7th gen celicas for around the same price. I don't like MX-5/ miatas, golfs, fiesta's. Sorry I'm not into the small pocket car trend. I do like the small pocket classic MR2 that's about it. Any recomendations? I can deal with some hatchbacks/ sports cars.

Look at a Dodge Stealth, or Ford Probe. Try Mitsubishi Eclipse, Acura Integra, Hyundai Tiburon. These might be decent options.

On an RX-8, if the car itself and the insurance doesn't kill you, the Wankel Rotary engines thirst will.

Sounds interesting. Isn't the stealth a rebadged 3000gt? No problem with that but are there any differences?

Not quite sure, you could try a stock or base model Nissan 300ZX, or even a mid 2000's Mustang, preferably the last gen without the muscle look. Those don't sell for much.

Will do thanks for the info. I might look at the 3rd/4th gen lancer and stealth.

I'd recommend a Series 180 Celica. Getting more difficult to find a nice one but they're reliable, sporty, and relatively cheap. And more practical than an MR2. And I think it's front wheel drive.

I to would love an MR2 but there's just no way I could afford one.

Ok. I will look into these suggestions.
