High School

I'm on the brink of suspension...:scared: Heck, I'm not even at school today - what's the point of going anyway?.
I say I'm on the brink of suspension because I was given an "Official Warning", which is worse than a detention apparently. I don't feel as though the punishment fits the crime. All I did was fail to give my iPad to a teacher, bloody hell. 2 teachers sent emails to my coordinator in regards to bad behaviour after I was given the warning, so if another email gets to him, I will be suspended. The real killer though is that the warning stands for the rest of the year, which means I can't act up for a full term. I have NEVER done that in my school life, so the pressure is on. How will I do it?
Australian Schools are getting more and more strict on Mobile devices. For the HSC Exams, if you have any sort of Mobile device with you or EVEN IN YOUR BAG, you immediately get a big fat 0.

Don't get why you didn't give the teacher your iPad though, from my experience teachers well protect mobile devices they confiscate and they'll give it back to you after class or school.

Thanks for the heads up

they'll give it back to you after class or school

At my school, there some teachers that'll give you back your phone (thats what everyone gets caught with at my school) at the end of the period and give you a verbal warning not to use it in class again. Others just give you a yellow piece of paper and tell you to take your phone and that piece of paper to the front office to be put in "The lock up" (the schools safe) and your parents have to come and collect your phone from the school.

I just got back from the high school with rivalry night with our in-county rival. It was the best high school [American] Football game I've watched in a very long time. On top of that, I got in for free because I was helping the band as an alumni, and my alma mater won the game to boot! They won in OT with a final score of 20-14 by breaking up four straight pass attempts to the end zone after converting a pass for a touch down on 4th down. I haven't been as stoked as I was tonight in a while since my high school's team usually has sucked during my student years and through most of my years as an alumni.

I like to carry on a lot. Make a big deal out of everything...

I hated high-school group projects, always got stuck with the slackers. Luckily in university those folks aren't attending.

Really not feeling good about tomorrow. It's a long story so I'll chuck it in a spoiler.

Last week, on Thursday, my Votech instructor wasn't there, so his teaching assistant was in charge. Upon arrival, my shop was closed, so me and a group of five others had to wander through almost the entire building trying to figure out where we were supposed to go for class since no one told us. We got that figured out and solved, but soon we had to go to another room for the actual learning. All it was, was just a safety test for all of us. Well figures my computer randomly shuts off without any input from me whatsoever during the test, so I had to move. The assistant got pissed at me for that, but I had no choice. She's one of those really strict teachers who only wants things to go her way at all costs, so that's no surprise.

About 40 minutes later, we had to close up and move to another room for another lesson. We all got the go ahead to move to the second room as our teacher locked the first room up. The door on the second room was open, so we all went inside. Then out of nowhere the teacher for this second room comes out of nowhere and starts yelling at us, saying "get out, this room is occupied, you must have a teacher with you." She more or less forced us out the door, then locked it. When our teacher came to meet up with us, she found out the door was locked and yelled at us for all being outside and wouldn't take "we were in the room but got chased out" as an answer. When we finally got situated in this new room, another class came in because they were scheduled to be there, so we left and went to our normal classroom in the auto wing.

From here all hell broke loose. We were supposed to finish our safety tests, but we have 35 kids and only four laptops, with only two of them working. On top of this we weren't allowed to leave the classroom or even go to a room with working computers that had a teacher on standby for this very situation. After a couple hours a third of the class was outside the shop just passing time, another third was in the classroom and the final third were nowhere to be found. Three or four students actually left the school property and either returned to their high school or went home, with two working together to fake a nose bleed as a diversion to get the other out of the building. It gets worse.

As almost all of us are outside, save for four of us in the classroom including two taking their safety tests, a trio of random men show up on the public side of a fence beside our shop. Two are shooed away but one stays and tried to lure some of us over the fence with him. After this one of the administrators shows up and gives us a 20 minute explanation on how and why we avoid such a situation. With an hour left in the day, we're a called into the classroom but only half of us respond. Then after what seems like an hour we're finally dismissed to go back to our high school and back home. So in a nutshell, Thursday was probably the least productive day ever and tomorrow, we're gonna hear all about it and what our punishments are. And because this is just how our normal instructor is, he will find anything and everything to point out to us and punish us for. And we'll all get the same punishment with barely any chance to plead our own individual cases, if at all, let alone plead our cases as a group.

So, with all that out of the way, I already know tomorrow and the next week is gonna suck. And the instructor is bound to be harder on me since I'm not one to be like this despite the fact that I honestly didn't do anything I wasn't supposed to. Wouldn't be surprised if he kicks out those students who left. He once did so with a few other people. I'll update tomorrow if I have the chance.

I finished year 12 yesterday, now I'm a free person. Only thing I have left to do now is the HSC exams after the school holidays :)

First day of freedom and I'm spending it at school. I couldn't leave without keeping my computer and getting it sorted (paid for) so I'm now an admin on it :sly: Also I wanted to finish off the full term and complete just one more day :)

Same here, though I've been mostly thinking about what to do next with my personal life, 13 years of school and this has always been a struggle. I never really planned for a future, especially since all the things I wanted to do as a little kid I realized are ridiculously high levels of difficult, so now I'm stuck.

Update about the Votech story is this: The only punishments anyone got from that debacle last week is the ones who left the school were suspended for one day and put on "last chance" status. Surprisingly that was all; no one else got any punishment besides a stern warning.

And as for what I'd like to do after high school, I pretty much have four options:
  1. Go to work
  2. Go to the NASCAR Technical Institute in North Carolina
  3. Go to UNOH in Ohio
  4. Stay local and go to CCAC near Pittsburgh. Tuition for this school is just under $10k, the others I don't know yet
All three schools are tech schools for automotive, with CCAC having a Mopar CAP program.

My Senior year is proving to be the most difficult. My relationship of nearly two years has ended and I'm left with just two friends who I only see during lunch. Pile that on top of challenging myself with advanced classes.

Geez. :indiff:

Just about beat someone's ass in today because this kid decides despite having previous years issues solved between the two of us he's gonna go right back to the way he was and twist my words into something he wants them to be then use it against me. Been putting up with it since 8th grade and we're both in 12th now but because he's a two faced **** and covers up what he does so well no one ever believes me when I try to do or say something about it. And it isn't just me it's me and about 50 others he's done this to since 8th grade. I swear the only way anyone can get any respect from this guy is to be a girl. You put him next to most of the guys in the school and he's nothing but a judgmental, bullying, piece of **** excuse of a human being. But put him next to any girl at all and he's this nice as could be, kindhearted, respectful god. It's always only him that starts it. Never comes from anyone else's input. You could be 80 feet away from him, minding your own business and not even know who he was or even that he was there and he'd go out of his way just to disown you or put you down or something. You and him could both have an empty trash can sitting right next to both of you and he'd go all the way over to yours just to give himself an opportunity to do something to you. That's how freaking bad he is. I can't stand it anymore. All this because he can't accept the fact that I made a simple joke that he thought was stupid.

Some dudes girlfriend was getting mad at him for buying Starbucks for another girl so she threw her plate of food at him in lunch so he decked her in the face two times. She sorta had it coming since that was the most stupidest thing to get as about.

So today was very interesting. The student I mentioned in my last post had a schedule change, so now he's no longer in any of my classes. I also got asked out by a girl for the first time in my life but I had to reject her because she was a 16 year old sophomore and I am a 20 year old senior. Not gonna fly. This is what happens when you end up getting a late start in school. Plus I'm already interested in someone else anyway. Not much I could've done even without the age gap.

And the most notable thing that happened today, which ties in with the violence that you guys have talked about, a fight between two girls broke out right in front of me. I was in the lunch line beside a trash can when a girl went to throw her garbage away. She said "move 🤬" to the other girl and pulled her out of the way by her hair. The other girl slapped her in retaliation and it was on from there. It took two teachers with each girl to keep the two from going back after one another. Later in the day, I was called into the office as a witness to explain what happened and that was the end of that.

Shoulda given her the leg sweep!

Today my friend got pooped on by a bird. He was standing with me and a few others when he took his hat off and at that very instant, the bird let loose of it right on top his head.:lol::lol:

My high school's homecoming is supposed to be tonight. I'll be going even though it'll suck because it's been raining for the past three days and still is raining right now.

I found out the other day that one of the local dirt track racers, who happens to have some pretty nice success behind the wheel, works in the tech department at my school. All this time I just thought it was a case of two different people having the same exact since I thought the man in question lived further away. :boggled:

I myself am looking at getting involved with racing and I've been talking to a few drivers about it. This could be a good chance to build a decent connection. For one thing, I'd probably have more chances to talk to him as compared to other racers, especially since when I'm at the high school rather than Votech I almost always have nothing to do in homeroom period. Plus we have an email system so I could possibly start something there and carry it over to something else right after since we're only allowed to use the email service for school related educational purposes. Something for me to think about and probably do I guess.

I just got back from Homecoming. My high school wound up winning 20-3. The weather sucked, but it was sure nice to run into some of my old friends that I haven't talked to in years. I found it funny that the principal's daughter was homecoming queen and found it funnier that the principal was actually dressed up.
