Nice. I used the "Wierd" setup after driving myself crazy with bobs, setups, and cars and took 1st by 10secs with the 7.

Thanks a ton

Is there a different car you can use for this? I don't have the toyota 7 race car, I tried the freaking Challenger RM but that pig just doesn't turn, I can't catch the 1st place car man. I mean it could just be me sucking with this car, but at this point if there is another car I'll buy it and tune it if someone knows.. I haven't even seen the toyota 7 race car though.. This is the last race I need to finish this series.. It's incredibly frustrating.

I got tired of trying this win this race with the Toyota 7 after countless tries. I just bought the 2J from the online dealer and first try my Bob got Gold. Finally it's over.

Weird setup for my Toyota 7 Race Car but it worked on B-Spec and 2 more times right after to make sure. But it works well. after bb takes first you need to let him cool down and keep him near the middle of the stress bar. Should be gravy! Goodluck

Downforce: F:60 R:85
Turbo: Mid RPM Range Turbo Kit (Stage 2)
LSD: IT=30 , AS= 55 , BS=30
Transmission: 224mph top speed
Suspension:
Ride height= -30/-30
Spring Rate= 20/20
Dampers ext and comp both= 10/10/
Anti Roll Bars= 7/7
Camber: F= 7.0, R= 0.0
Toe: F= -0.10 / R= 0.15
Brakes: F=9 / R=8

Thanks for this tune. That did it for me.

A couple of comments though:

I lowered the top speed to around 176 (I think?). Bob never really approached that speed so I figured it might could get lowered a bit more to help acceleration.

I saw in this thread somewhere that someone mentioned spamming overtake at the start to help prevent dropping back to like 10th. That helped. My bob went from dropping back to overtaking maybe 2-3 spots on the uphill straight after the first turn.

My level 21 bob is about middle of the red normally. I kept him totally in the red (just on the edge, not to much) until he took first then I kept him mid-range.

On my race I was lucky to get the 2j to start in 9th with the Toyota 7, GT40, 330 P4, and Mark IV rounding out the 1-4, so that helped a bunch.

My bob did a nice PIT maneuver on the GT40 at the top of the hill just as you are about to go down to take first. I've never been so proud! lol.

And last but not least, the mid-range turbo is a must. I started the race with stage 3 but Bob couldn't do better than 8th. I swapped out for the stage 2 and I had gold in one try.

Thanks again czipodrive.

You'll get it as a prize car for winning like the wind in B-spec. I couldn't beat it in A or B-spec so I just skipped it until I got the Toyota 7, then went and beat them both.

i was so glad to find this tune i tried many other and they never got me to first. thamks alot!!!!!!!!!! great tune 👍

Finally won the Toyota 7 at "Ride like the wind" in B-Spec and with that car won Gold in second try B-Spec in Cote d'Azur. Level 18 Bob drove like a real champ, he got the Chaparall 2J in the 2nd lap and finished 10.3 seconds ahead.

Just beat it on b-spec on second try. i used the Toyota 7 and hot bob level 21 with 2nd stage turbo and lower my top speed to 176 mph and no suspention tuning and won by like 3 or 4 seconds. Hope this helps guys.

This SURE worked on deep forest, won by 26 sec to the next 2 toyota 7's.
2d, 2j mark etc came even further behind,
transmission to 280km/h was little low. maxed out before i needed around start line. So 290/300 should be pefrect.

Now to Cote D'zur.... See how it goes :)

No go! 00.282 behind 2j. I'll screw him now.

leading by 10 sec on 2j on cote d'zur!! (BEATED 2J BY 16 SEC)

DONE: BOTH GOLD. :)

After too many attempts to count I finally got gold for this race with the "weird setup". Even with the setup my Bob's couldn't win it. Finally I stopped giving Bob commands and let him run his own race and he won it. I'm glad this is over, very frustrating race.

thx for the settings... won at first try :) +16.990 second faster than 2j... yippiee :)

Weird setup indeed. Tried Cote a few time in B-Spec with the setup I used previous, the one that my Bob won deep forest with. So he started off much slower then normal with the way the camber is. But surprisingly every lap Bob would gain another position, just kept on moving up the latter. On the last lap the straight after turn 1 Bob rolled into first place! Quickly cooled him down to the half way mark. He finished the race with 4 seconds to spare. Thank you for sharing your setup. Historic Car Cup on B-SPEC DONE!!!!!!!!!!!

I used this setup - which is amazing - and could only manage 2nd place (once out of a dozen tries) no matter which driver I used. Finally won by setting the transmission to 205mph - crashed on lap 2, but still won by 5.6 seconds.

Thanks, that helped me out!

I used and with with an advance of 25 s of the second (2J) and a best lap time of 1.35.677

I hate this race.

Edit: After 10,000 attempts at this, I dropped the top speed down to around 186. T. Kudo was in 2nd place for 4 laps then was actually able to take first in lap 8, just inching out the Mark IV for the win. But...I still hate this race! haha

With all the help here both Bob and I were able to use the 7 to win both races. It only took Bob 2 tries, and me 1. I was impressed with Bob on his first, except for his lousy start. He got into the first corner 10th, ended up 12th three times, and fought back to finish 3rd. Better (read less) management of him allowed Bob to win the next time rather easily.

Thanks to all for sharing their "secrets"!

Thank you! THANK YOU! *grovels*

I've been trying endlessly with other setups that didn't work, but this one does. The successful race was the most awesome (awesomest?) because the Evil 2J spun out after the tunnel. My Bob (T. Mcclure) rammed the 2J , which in turn was rammed and passed by everyone, finishing 12th. Take that, 2J b*****d! :sly:

I never tried the wierd setup but went for one of my own thats a bit more conventional and doesnt need a bigger turbo. My super chilled lv 23 BoB cruised to a 45 second win at Deep forest after getting P1 before the end of the first lap and an easy 15 second win at Cote d'azur, geting P1 on lap 3.

Btw, I was really lucky with the prize cars on both A and B spec, I got the Stratos rally car on A spec and a totally gorgeous Alfa Guilia T22 Carrozzata Da Zagato '65 on B spec :-)

Anyway, see how you get on with this tune if you're having trouble

Aero 60/85

Diff 30/55/20

Ride height -16/-13
Spring rate 13.8/15.8
Dampers 8/7
8/7
Roll bar 6/6

Camber 2.7/1.2
Toe -0.10/+0.20
And I put the T/C at 4. Anything else was as standard.

Best of luck !. . . .

Racing Medium tires
Take the top speed down to 174 mph
50kg ballast to the far back (+50)

As the race starts, queue up the overtake command (not send it)
Press X when the counter gets to one (this should get the driver to say ok almost right at the start)
Let the bob drive himself until the tunnel, then pace down.

You should be ahead of the accident (if any) at the devil's chicane, and in 3rd. If not, I recommend restarting (why waste the time?)

Once you have achieved a 3rd place position after the chicane, all you have to do is pace down at the start of the tunnel (only if there is a car near you), and pace up when he gets too far into the blue (but never leading into the tunnel, or the chicane). It is ideal to keep him running in the gray area.

I did this with a lvl 24 bob, who is very cool-headed, and with a starting lineup that had the 2J behind me. There was a Toyota 7 in front, but with this tune, you will easily handle it. In order to refresh the starting lineup, you must fully exit the race (back to the screen that shows the two tracks) and re-enter. Just exiting the race to the lineup screen is not enough, so once you have a lineup that has the 2J in 8th or lower, you can restart the race without mixing the lineup again. This will allow you to keep retrying for that 3rd place spot by the chicane, on lap one, until you get it.

I finished with a 21.982 second lead over the 2J! Was first from the start of the tunnel on lap 2, and never lost it. I should also note, that my driver could not get this accomplished until after the ballast was in place at the rear, it helps keep the grip as he accelerates wildly sometimes.

This advice, combined with the earlier setup just got me in first after finishing no higher than 8th for numerous attempts. The ballast in the back really does seem to make a difference.
