Here is the setup I used to win this terribly frustrating B-spec race hope it helps :)

Car: Toyota 7 Race Car '70

Aerodynamics: Front 60 Rear 85
Turbo Kits: High RPM Range Turbo Kit
Transmission: 260kmh Top speed
Suspension:
1.Height: -30mm Front and Rear
2.Dampers (Extension): 10 Front and Rear
3.Dampers (Compression): 9 Front and Rear
Wheel Alignment: Camper Angle: 1.5 Front and Rear

That's the setup I used to win and anything not mentioned was left default or unchanged. This setup worked first try for me all though there's no guarantees it will work for you sorry. My B-Spec driver was level 21 at the time.

^^ works brilliant, won by 24.8 seconds with 2j starting in front of my lvl 31 b-spec driver, i found that as long as u pace down in the tunnel so u survive the chicane it works a treat. got 2 first in 2 laps, chased down 2j 6 secs ahead.brilliant setup 👍

Just beat the Côte d'Azur with the Toyota 7 Race Car '70

Below are some notes and tuning set up.

Attempts: 4 (Crashed in one attempt, resulting in 500,000 Cr. of chassis restoration which I didn't decide to do).
Total Lap Time: 13:10.390
Win Margin: +24.930 (2J Race Car '70)
B-Spec Level: 26
Driver: B.Carrasco
Driver Level: 24

Strategy: Plan to finally overtake the leader at the end of lap 2. In the beginning, just keep telling your driver to overtake until you are close to the leader, take a breather, then inch closer and over take. Once in first you should for the remainder of the race keep your drivers meter just above the middle, I maintained this by having him "maintain pace" twice per lap (spread out) and "pace up" once per lap on the straightaway that leads to the finish line.

Tuning Parts:
- Mid Range (Stage 2) Turbo (Tried the Stage 3 High-Range Turbo but lost Performance Points)
- Tires: Racing Medium

Set Up:
Aero: 60/85
Transmission (didn't do individual gears, just top speed): 174 MPH (280 KPH)
Initial Torque: 40
Acceleration Sensitivity: 50
Braking Sensitivity: 30
Ride Height: -30/-30
Spring Rate: 20.0/20.0
Extension: 10/10
Compression: 9/9
Anti-Roll Bars: 7/7
Toe: 1.5/1.5
Camber: -0.10/0.15
Brakes: 9/8

Starting Line-up (First Seven):
1. XJ13 Race Car '66
2. Mark IV Race Car '67
3. 2J Race Car '70
4. 2d Race Car '67
5. Corvette Z06 (C2) Race Car '63
6. 330 P4 Race Car '67
7. Me of course

Best of luck!

OMG I hated the B-Spec for this course Cote d'Azur in historic!! I tried all the recommended settings on my toyota 7 and all the tips I even ranked up my dumb driver to lvl 29.. but every time I spun on the chicanes.... so I started thinking about it... If my lil retard turns in too fast all I gotta do is reduce the turning ability of the car enough to counter this glitch. So I tinkered with all the settings until I got this and presto first place on my second try!! this was with two 2j's up front too my car was a rocket and I kept it red in overtake the entire race with no problem I REALLY suggest saving your settings and trying this setup a few times it worked for me!!

Racing medium front and rear

Weird setup for my Toyota 7 Race Car but it worked on B-Spec and 2 more times right after to make sure. But it works well. after bb takes first you need to let him cool down and keep him near the middle of the stress bar. Should be gravy! Goodluck

Downforce: F:60 R:85
Turbo: Mid RPM Range Turbo Kit (Stage 2)
LSD: IT=30 , AS= 55 , BS=30
Transmission: 224mph top speed
Suspension:
Ride height= -30/-30
Spring Rate= 20/20
Dampers ext and comp both= 10/10/
Anti Roll Bars= 7/7
Camber: F= 7.0, R= 0.0
Toe: F= -0.10 / R= 0.15
Brakes: F=9 / R=8

Thanks a lot man! Used these stats with a cool headed level 18 bob and won it on my first run.

The 2J even started ahead of me. I did lower the top speed a little from yours but even still he murdered the competition coming 8.733 seconds ahead of the 2J!

this worked great on cote b-spec first try. Thanks a lot

The driver type is the key.

Mine is lvl 16 about a third into the red, and he won the race 1st try with only a few setting changes, and about 4 commands (would not have even needed those though, i said overtake at the start 2 times which was unecessary, since he later swept past cars without me saying anything. later i gave the increase pace command, when he was 2nd, to keep his pace maxed untill he got up to the leader).

Top speed 260 KM/H
Mid range turbo
All the other parts (except high rpm turbo ofc)
LSD: 15/55/30

He didnt do a single spinout or crash into the sides. Took the lead of the 2JR at lap 8. Just keep him maxed on red and he will perform great!

My first BOB lvl 24 is like halfway cool and he really struggles on most races, having a very tough time to overtake opponents. My new BOB has still not lost any of his races.

Thank you, this is a great setup (bump, sort of). Worked just fine for my 23 lv. Bob - he won easily at Deep Forest and overtook the 2J on 7th lap of Cote d'Azur race.

I did it the first time I tried with this tune!!! Wooo hoo! Tried multiple times before and just couldn't get it done until now. Even used my 5th strongest driver who was only level 18.

Awesome set up. Went from 4th place to beating the 2J by 22.192 seconds. Thanks, dude.

Hi, everyone.

Fantastic setup. Won the whole cup (both tracks) easily with this setup. With a few seconds advantage even. Thank you Bobtheblob

Thanks.. After coming 2nd with my own setup.
I used yours, though i increased the springrate front & rear with 10.
I came 1st...
Cheers

Just be Cote d'Azur with this tune. Don't forget to change tires to Racing: Medium. Your Bob will do most of it well enough on his own. It will help to command "Pace Up" before the race starts only. Command "Pace Down" when it looks like Bob is about to make a wreckless turn (those nasty Chicanes are the ones to watch out for). Otherwise, just let him lose. I crashed around lap 3 when I was right behind the 2J in first place. I still have enough time to catch up in the fifth lap and claim first for the remainder of the race. Also, try and get a 2J to start in 3rd on the grid. I won it with Twin 2J's on my rear. Bob wasn't sweating it though.
