Weird setup for my Toyota 7 Race Car but it worked on B-Spec and 2 more times right after to make sure. But it works well. after bb takes first you need to let him cool down and keep him near the middle of the stress bar. Should be gravy! Goodluck

Downforce: F:60 R:85
Turbo: Mid RPM Range Turbo Kit (Stage 2)
LSD: IT=30 , AS= 55 , BS=30
Transmission: 224mph top speed
Suspension:
Ride height= -30/-30
Spring Rate= 20/20
Dampers ext and comp both= 10/10/
Anti Roll Bars= 7/7
Camber: F= 7.0, R= 0.0
Toe: F= -0.10 / R= 0.15
Brakes: F=9 / R=8
You are the man 👍

This was the lst race I needed to win to complete the B-spec Expert Series so after fannying about with it for while I finally came across this tune.

So, with this tune dialled in and some carefull mamangement of a fairly hot-headed lvl-22 Bob it was a gold trophy 1st time. Managed to get 1st place at the first corner of the 3rd lap and then ended up winning by some 10.55 sec's.

Ok I finally nailed it with a +23.715 sec win. I'm an überidiot....I had hard racing tires on the Toyota 7 all the time, stiffness (?) improvement + racing medium tires did the job. Thanks a lot mate.

When someone gets around to doing a Wikipedia entry for "exercise in frustration" they could just post up this element of GT5! What in God's name were they thinking when they came up with this? My Bob gets nowhere near winning this, no matter what I do. He approaches a corner where there's 3 cars facing the wrong way in a cloud of smoke so does he go up the outside? Or does he barrel straight into the carnage? What's the point in this, anyone? I haven't enjoyed any of the b-spec "events" but at least it allowed me some progression in the game but I've been tackling this one all day and still can get no further than 6th place! I've said before that the driving physics in this game are second to none but I'm done with this as a game. There's just no fun in it any more.

YAY!! Thanks, third attempt. Took a lot of management and slow downs to keep him fast, and for some reason on lap 8 the 2D gave up on a corner allowing me to hit overtake and zoom past him...... Still not convinced my Bob is cut out to be a racing driver :(.

Thankyou. Worked a treat

Here is the setup I used to win this terribly frustrating B-spec race hope it helps :)

Car: Toyota 7 Race Car '70

Aerodynamics: Front 60 Rear 85
Turbo Kits: High RPM Range Turbo Kit
Transmission: 260kmh Top speed
Suspension:
1.Height: -30mm Front and Rear
2.Dampers (Extension): 10 Front and Rear
3.Dampers (Compression): 9 Front and Rear
Wheel Alignment: Camper Angle: 1.5 Front and Rear

That's the setup I used to win and anything not mentioned was left default or unchanged. This setup worked first try for me all though there's no guarantees it will work for you sorry. My B-Spec driver was level 21 at the time.

Just thrashed it with the weird setup used.

To be honest I think the main thing to make sure of is the mid range turbo, as that is what is giving him that little bit extra. The rest of the tune may have had nothing to do with it.

Some advice too, hit "overtake" BEFORE the race starts (while the start timer is counting down) and he wont drop off to 10th. Doing that and hitting overtake a couple more times after had my Bob up in 5th just before the hairpins before settling in to the race.

Currently using this to do the Deep Forest race in B-Spec and my guy (level 16, fairly cool headed) dropped to the back right from the start and stayed there. He even got lapped. By a Toyota 7............

EDIT - Just noticed that the car had Comfort tyres on it  Switched to Racing Medium and he's picking his way through the pack as I type!

EDIT EDIT - Battling with the Toyota 7 for 5 laps before dropping back on lap 8. Pushed him to speed up on lap 9 and he pulled a fantastic overtake on the final corner then soared off into the distance!!!

Just tried the czipodrive with my level 23 Bob, not working for me after 3 attempts (car does seem to be turning in better, so thanks for the tune) I've improved from 11th to 8th but lost patience with it now.

One idea might be to pick a Bob who's good on Braking

This worked an absolute treat. I eventually gave the drive to my #2 driver as my first one is rapidly losing my support (he is about 8 levels higher than my #2 but slower on a number of tracks). I think the key here is the mid range turbo instad of the high range. The high range turbo gives to much power i think for the course.

Anyway, great tune. I managed to win it at the first attempt after about 20 previous tries with my own "tuning"!

I just want to note my experience for anyone having trouble with this..

I tried this race three times with my level 24 bob (medium tempered) on a fully tuned Toyota 7 and could usually do no better than 6th (even after finding the tune in this thread).

I changed to my level 19 hot tempered bob, downgraded to a medium RPM turbo, and watched him jump out to 5th from the start (I even had a 2J starting directly in front of me) behind a GT40, Ferrari, Jaguar, and 2D. Managing his temper (always "Pace Down" going into the tunnel) kept me at 5th until the 5th lap when I began to pass one car after the first turn in every lap until I passed the Ferrari at the beginning of the last lap.

It was a lot of work staying close to those guys so that I could be in position to pass them after finishing a lap.

I didn't see the 2J once after some cat and mouse through the first 3 laps. I suspect he crashed at the chicane every lap. For that matter, I never had any crashes in front of me to deal with while being behind those four particular cars.

I think the trick is to use a hot headed driver who is willing to do what it takes to get you as far in front as possible off the line.

This was great advice. I changed to my hot-tempered Bob and he hit the front on lap 2 and stayed there until the end. I still have some hair left!

ffing frustrating this is lol, specially knowing I am 20 second faster then stupid bob with no aids :(

Trying that weird setup now lol

Edit: That seemed to work strange enough. Those settings are no way achievable in real cars lol :P

This is a great setup! Requires a couple of tries, and babying of Bob, but it is feasible. I was 1st going into the Casino on Lap 8, and then hit the chicane... I guess I'll try again when things get less hectic at school...

czipo's setup + racing mediums works fine for me. Was struggling with racing hard and Bob could only get 2nd at best.

P1 on Lap 3 and won by 19 secs with a level 21 cool Bob, with green arrow.

Luck plays some part in that there's only one 2J and starts on P3.

He crashed on Lap 2 and struggled to finish 7th. LoL.

I tried many times with the Toyota 7 Race car and got nowhere. The setup is much better so thank you for that. The problem is you need to be in 3rd before the big pile up occurs at the chicane. Also my B-Spec driver (L29) tries to undertake leading up to the chicane and just ends up crashing (this kept happen even though I ask him to decrease his pace!). I found the GT40 Race Car (Won at Indianapolis 500 miles) with Max Speed set to 162 was in 3rd by the second turn. So I would recommend that if the Toyota is giving you problems. The Audi R10 rules all tracks.

literally followed this set up to the tee, physically can not do it, someone please lend me a 2J :( or anything else, only need to do this on gold to finish extreme series

Does anyone have a good tune for the GT40 as i have tried it in Bspec with a lv29 driver and he is all over the place with it .

Try hitting the overtake button just as you are going into the corner before the tunnel. That way the overtake should be completed and the instruction not in Bob's head by the time he gets to the chicane.
I found that if bob is under the overtake instruction at the chicane after the tunnel he takes an earlier, almost straighter line from the left of the track into the chicane which causes him to hit the corner barrier. He needs to be past the car he is overtaking earlier in order to get back over to the right hand side of the track before the chicane. Hope that helps. Seriously perservere with it though. I tried 20+ times to nail this race and got it first time with czipodrive's setp with a level 19 bob.

This setup worked great for me and my level 23 bob on the first race. I'm not quite sure how far ahead I finished as the screen timed out before 2nd place crossed the finish line 👍

Aero: 50/75
Turbo: High RPM
Trans: 199
LSD: 15/30/15
Height: -20/-20
Spring Rate: 17.1/18.6
Ext: 8/8
Comp: 9/9
Roll: 7/7
Camber: -2.5/-1.5
Toe: -.05/.20

Took First right before the switchback to the straight on the first lap then checked out. My driver stress was maxed until I took the lead then I kept him right in the middle of the red the rest of the race. Not one crash or even slide. Car looked glued to the track. My best lap was 1:10.800

Nice work, you should tune cars for Formula 1! Thanks allot!
