I don't see any T/A or Australian Touring Car Masters series after searching. i'm suggesting if anyone wants to host this idea.

I have more ideas for racing series. Just different things on my plate right now.

I would love to run these cars in a race together. add me to your friends list psn: george_alba

I think that TC camero would be a no go since it's the only car in the line up with aero front and rear.

Good car selection! I don't know about mixing the race cars in there though. Time permitting, I'm interested. 👍

I think as long as they don't have adjustable aero than it should be fine. May I suggest a fixed gear ratio for both trans and final drive to keep all cars equal?

I've driven all cars on Mount Panorama for suspension and gearing.
Setting all Final Drives @3:17 and top speed 360kmh. This allows for only 1st-4th gear for all but the Ruf(911 SC).
1st gear(depending on car) allows 105-110kmh.
4th gear will reach 275-282kmh at the kink on Conrod Straight.

The CAMARO and CHALLENGER TC are comparable. Keep in mind the cars won't have ABS. The aero doesn't make much difference with the new physics. I found torque from the engines to aid most. The Stielow Camaro has a Supercharger and found it to turn in corners better than the TC cars.

Here is my set up for the Pozzi Camaro
RH: 70/75
SR: 24.40/8.22
DAMPERS: 1/1, 1/1
ANTI-ROLL: 1/1
CAMBER(real TCM spec): -6/-2.5
TOE: 0/0
RACING BRAKE: 3/2
LSD: 60/60/60
TRANSMISSION: 350KMH
1- 2.807
2- 1.846
3- 1.325
4- 0.989
5- 0.774(DO NOT USE)
6- 0.666(DO NOT USE)
FINAL DRIVE- 3.170

Here is a video I posted recently of John Bowe in his 580-590hp '69 TCM Mustang.
Take note of where he uses 1st gear(his car uses a NASCAR TRANSMISSION) and where the braking points are by looking at the cars in front. Remember, these cars don't use ABS/TCS, but are allowed fuel injection and bigger brakes. **Also, the Silver Falcon ahead has been quoted to have 700+hp!

I just noticed your thread Caribdane - good luck with your series - it looks great and it's nice to see these wonderful, historic cars getting some attention.

I have several Trans Am Series planned - the first is starting Sunday 4th January 2015 at 17:00 GMT - the series is currently full, but there are a couple of spaces open for reserves.

This is just an idea. If someone wants to do this series, that would be great. I'm just sharing my ideas in case anyone wants to try it.
I think these cars are a blast to drive. I built a 69 camero @ 462hp 1410kg and it runs with the rest. I pull 2:20.xxx at mount panorama.

If I can find my old notes I have a couple dozen builds for TC GT and GTC classes from the '60's. They all ran within .2 seconds of each other at autumn ring mini. These were built using an old SCCA rule book and locked transmission gearing. Nothing like running a 300+hp mustang vs. a 150hp Datsun 510 and being equal on the track. Mind you the mustang was quick on the straights but that Datsun would kill in in the corners.

Thats cool. I built a 510, 2002turbo, Alfa GTV and Mini. I thought about adding those to the series way back. Minis did win at Bathurst vs the other "big" sedans at the time. THAT would be a race!

So I did some tests with the Camero Z28 RC and added max ballast and tuned the engine to 400hp. It seems to be equal with the other cars. (1285kg vs 1410kg)

Another thing is the the '69 Camero I added a supercharger
