Offline physics messed me up quite a bit too. I can only think of Sarth & Nurbring for international night time race... i personally don't like either of those. 15 laps G1 races, 10 for G2? I would go for that. 1 Mandatory pit stop/race? This will help the guys who have trouble abusing their tires.

My car has a little over 500 hp @ 550pp, I didn't think that is too much. Just an idea, I never said it was a good one.

Kal, those cars running slicks probably showed up on a trailer.

Sports tires on my GT350R? No no mister, that cant handle sports with 550PP. If we dropped it down to say 500PP then it would be fine.

15/10 sounds great to me. I think my Challenger rear tires will only be good for about 12 laps when I'm chasing the likes of you, though. I could force them to last, maybe. I do plan on switching cars, though, and havn't done any real tire wear testing yet. I guess we'll all be doing some tire testing this Sunday, so that will answer that one.

They showed up with a trailer carrying slicks. They just switched them over before getting on the track.

Did a Test Online 20 Laps @ Mazada. Roughly 30 minutes. Pretty sure I will be ready. Next trial will be my G2 car and see how it does 20 laps.

I also just played with my Camaro SS (2010) RM, painted it a flat green red rims, and proceeded to run a very easy 1:07:XXX @ Deep Forest. I think I will be using it online a bit more now!

I almost can't believe the difference between offline and online characteristics. My other cars there wasn't much of an issue. I'm going to have a long day at the track with the Z06 and 20 laps at Laguna. I have 2nd & 3rd gear so tall, I can almost run the entire race in just those 2 gears.

Green & red Camaro... I bet it looks nice and Christmas-ie.

Get ready guys for the weekend!

Today I Spent replacing an ignition switch, and digging up some elusive history on the Shelby Can Am 3.3V6 (Happen to have one of the motors in my garage) Also sent email to Crane Cams asking for specs on the original cam they made in the 80s (HA!) Called a machine shop in Iowa got some good news, compression ratio is not as high as believed so a stock PCM will run my planned build. AND I found my elusive spring seat pressure for my springs finally. Yet to confirm. My contact in Florida will be sending me a Spare Coil Pack and Wire set from a Can Am Race car to test as well as a Spare Outer Spring (my heads have racing dual springs on them) Can't wait. I also sent out three cds/dvds to three states today with said Can Am pictures from Daytona Speedway HSR/SCCA and Road Atlanta racing.

*Breath*

Kalmiya I am happy for you this things remember me my old times that I prepared my Camaro 71,, most off the parts I use to bought in Summit

This is actually not a bad idea. I just did the muscle car championship in the online seasonal events, (3 out of 5 tracks are on our schedule). I ran the Z28, Challenger, Corvette, & Mach 1 @ 500pp & sports softs. They all felt pretty good & I had fun with it. The reason I brought this up in the first place, the idea was too make the classes more different from eachother.

Try running the online seasonal event for yourselves @ 500pp & sports softs. You'll get over 100k for each race & an educated opinion. If after that, you guys don't like it, I promise I will stop beating this dead horse...

How about this, Everyone runs Sports and the GT350 guys and use racing softs in the rear?

But honestly, I don't think the challenger can hang with a camaro at low PP limit on sports.

I did this seasonal whith my camaro 550pp an it pay me 100 k for each race the 2 last pay a litle more 116k

Well, that fact that every time I get a cool looking car I immediately max it out and throw racin softs on it makes it imposable for me to give an honest opinion on the suggestion of SS tires. So, I'll give them a shot on a couple 500 to 550 PP cars and see what happens. There's a good chance I won't like 'em, but I do like the idea of distancing our two classes apart just a bit more, so I think the tires are a least worth some testing before we shoot down the idea.

(especially when I keep seeing Kal and Skel beat my G1 lap time with their stupid-fast G2 cars!:banghead: )

I just slapped a supercharger and a racing exaust on my Bee for the seasonal. It handle pretty well on sports hards so I guess thats alright.

I've been running the muscle car seasonal with various cars. Semi-modded, 500ish PP and sport softs and I really like it. I think this would be a great idea for the group 2 cars.

Lounge will be open around 7 guys. I am wanting to get started around 8 if possible.

After the races, I want everyone to stay, So I can run two more races and have everyone arrange themselves by their standings for picture or two for both groups for next seasons thread poster.

I want something like this But bit more orderly..

Aww I'm going to be last! Hopefully I can do well next season with my Z06 racecar and the Corvette C2. Hopefully.

Had a great time racin last night. 20 laps on each class was kinda long, but I definately enjoyed having more laps. Gave me a chance to really race against some guys for several laps. I'm voting for the 15/10 lap format for sure. I didn't care for mandatory pit's, and really don't think it will be necessary, even my g1 Chally had plenty of tire left at 12 laps, and I was by no means attempting to conserve them. Looking forward to some pics of last night!
Cobra and Coolracer, that was the most fun ever banging fenders with the two of you lap after lap!

Oh yea, Kal, were not all old! We are 'Vintage'!:sly:

Will be making Season II Thread here soon.

I suggest that Group I stays the same. All the cars seem even. Group II, That is the debate here. I personally do not want to run lower PP limits, or other tires, but it is a group choice.

Laps, 10 Laps per race, with 20 laps Daytona Speedway and Indy Speedway(added on next season) And the Laguna Final Race, 30 Laps sound good? With no Mandatory pit stop I guess?

Speak up!

If all of the extra-curricular activity were to be done as a music video, Yakety Sax, IMO, would be the song that is used. :D

Those lap counts sound OK to me. I do like the idea of a mandatory pit-stop coming into play for the latter 3 races to throw in a element of strategy. ;)

Will the meeting schedules be the same as what was tried last night with Division 2 racing first followed by Division 1?

Indy is good call, didn't even think of that. I kinda like the idea of a few more laps in G1 over G2, just to make it more of a 'Main event' kinda feel. I'm not a fan of sport softs, I would need to run some laps on them with a couple you guys in a race in order to change my mind on them. If anyone likes the last race mandatory pit, I'm ok with it for the one longest race, I just wanted to state that I wouldn't like it throughout the season.

I'm willing to try the tires, if anyone wants to meet up and do some testing this week. I only say that because a little more space between the two classes sounds interesting, but I don't think it's absolutely nec. I had a blast in both classes, and actually, I think I may have been more competitive in G2 over G1.

Anyone have their Season 2 cars picked out yet?

I like how all the cars are smashed/warped, but the chrome side pipes on my vette still look niiice. Too bad it makes the engine sound like Lady Gaga.

Kal, can you post the results? I forgot to write down the results past 3rd place in G1. Too busy finding out who got 2nd overall.

I think separating the 2 classes would be a little more interesting. Lap times for my G2 car is only about 2-3 seconds slower/lap. (average length track). This setup would basically be slightly modified stock muscle cars. And the G1 is the 'roided up super muscle cars. If it stays as is, I'm fine with that too.

I'm still working on my G1 car choice for next season. G2 I think I'm going to turn to the "dark side" & help the blue oval guys out.

Forgot to Add these....

As Stated, The problem I am seeing, is The Camaro is a nimble car, and to be honest the recent testing I ve been doing with the Mustang and Challenger, It's hard to get close lap times at the 550PP limit. Stock the Camaro has perhaps 460 ish pp points while the Challenger has 490pp Points. With a lower limit the Higher HP cars will be taxed even more.

If it were really up to me I would run completely Stock Body cars just completely Stock. But there again the issues where some cars are just better are even more and controlling the restrictions would be impossible.

These findings are the biggest reason why I am stepping away from the Camaros and doing a different setup all together. I don't know if it was really me, or the car that Won the races you know? I did hear that at 560 pp limit the cars became more evened out. I do not know if this is true.

I for one as Stated, am sticking with my Challenger car groups.

Maybe this Sunday we could meet up and run a couple G2 races at different PP levels, see how they match up. I'm undecided for my G2 car, got it narrowed down to a couple of Mopars, G1 I wanna run z28 RM

Hey can someone help me with taking a pic of my two matching C2 Corvettes. Oh and anyone know what color the C2 Z06 is?

Very nicely done Kal! I'm really looking forward to season 2. I think season 1 turned out a lot better then we had hoped.

I'll post the complete final standings here tomorrow when I'm at work with nothing better to do. Then we can shut this thread down.
