Where as I do not mind the sharing of ideas, please refrain from clogging the series thread with non-relevant posts. I understand asking about this car or that but tuning should be done int eh correct forums section of in PM. Only reason why I posted teh Trans Am pictures because they were directly related in a real life way.

Hopefully PSN will be up for Sunday.

Last one Kal I swear. I don't honestly know how it fairs in terms of acceleration compared to the RM cars, but it doesn't seem to have affected it much, mainly because I had lightened it as much as I could before adding anything I believe.

And I'll be happy to try it against you guys, just for reference though, could you give me a couple of lap times for varying tracks so I can tell if I'm even in the same ballpark? (Group one and two if you can)

Without any Aids, beside ABS on RS tires, Deep Forest is anywhere in the 1:10:XXX to 1:11:XX range for a Camaro RM, and say, less than 1:15:xxx for the G2 Camaro. Not sure on exact time.

Sorry Kal i should know better, thats why i stayed out until now to reply about my GT350R and comparing the Cobra to your Camaro. I'll continue this conversation either in the tuning forum or PM.

Couple posts are fine, not almost two pages however.. makes it hard to find info when you look back.

It's this PSN being down, kinda hard to maintain a series without online play. But back on subject, Should we start considering more ideas for next season? Like rules and whatnot? JUst trying to stay on topic with this thread.

Sorry about that Kal. I'm pretty sure I caused all of that. As 200MphFord said I think it's PSN being down and as for the lap times how fast is your Laguna Seca time?

Here I am breakign my own saying,
Camaro Z/28 Rm Best Ever done, 1:21:2xx that I can recall. I really have no clue since I rarely runt here in practice mode.

I was thinking increasing the laps, enough that two races a night is a nice work out. The inclusion of some cars for group one, that needs testing.

Maybe you could make another Group C car class. Bone stock muscle cars with racing tires(or you could do slicks).

I'll be testing the '69 GT40 more and start with the Shelby Cobra for G1. Honestly cant see many people using these two cars since they are harder than hell to tune but these are the types of cars i love to tune becasue of the challenge involved. My GT40 is pretty close to ready to compete but the Cobra will need work. Look forward to future tunes for these cars gentlemen.

I like the idea of running more laps, ironically because my Z06 race car burns through tires like they're crack...

How about using sport tires in G2 class? Street tires on the street cars.

Daytona super speedway is coming up. Probobly should refresh ourselves & newcomers on the special rules. Make sure we're all in agreement. Yellow line, bump drafting, etc.

200MphFord,
I've hiding in the shadows waiting for that GT350 tune, make sure you let me know where you post that info at, anxiously awaiting.

Good call Skeletor, we should probaly all review after getting used to A-spec racing for the last couple weeks.
All league racers are expected to follow GTPlanet online racing rules, there is a link to them in the first page OP if you would like to review them. There are some Vintage Trans Am Series specific rules we agreed upon for the speedway:
1) No passing below yellow line, if you accidentally cross the yellow you will be expected to give back any position gained.
2) Bump-drafting will be allowed in the straits only, try to avoid any contact entering or going through the turns. If the car you are pushing loses control as a result of your bump, you are expected to give back the lost position by slowing or dropping to the apron if nec. Use caution when bumping, these cars are nowhere near as stable as Nascars at 200 mph.

I think that's it. Are we sticking with 15 laps at the speedway?

Don't worry i'm going to start a thread in the tuning forum and i'll post the link here.

This might be getting off topic but if any of you guys find a Superbee or a Superbird in the UCD or have one I'm willing to trade one of my 17 RM cars (except for my Corvette ZR1) or my GT350R in a sick pearlesent paint. I will be forever thankful.

I've got an extra one of each. I'll get with you as soon as were back online

I'll take the Bee because 200MphFord graciously gave me one of his Birds for free. Are you interested in anything in particular?

Sorry about that...again. It's my compulsive ADHD I honestly get off topic all the time. I also have to say I made a new account for PSN about a month ago and I'm going to be using that from now on. It's cahilldomination so please friend that name or accept it if I request you.

Are you kidding? I've actually gone through my GT5 garage and washed all my favorite online cars....

I did finally do a chassis restore on the Camaro RM. Have yet to drive it to see if there is any difference. Tomorrow after fooling with my real car a bit I may take the Camaro and try and improve it's handling, or better yet the Challengers for next season.

Looks like psn is back & running. Did a few online races, and seemed to go smoothly. If everyone is ready to go, I would like to continue the league this week. This has been delayed long enough, but waiting another week won't kill anyone either.

What do you guys think?

I plan on Opening my Lounge guys around 7 ish EST. Gives up to two hours of practice for everyone and we can start early if wanted.

Tonight's plate is Group II Daytona Road Course and then Groups I and II @ Daytona Speedway.

Then next weekend we will have the final, and most grueling race, a 20 Lap race at Mazda Laguna Speedway for both groups.

Hopefully my schedule will permit me to race tonight and im looking forward to seeing what my GT350R can do. Perfect timing for the network to come back online.

Also, for those interested, JLawrence and I are opening a garage called Vintage Tuning and my GT350R tune and his Cobra tune will be the debut tunes for our garage. Hopefully hey will get us noticed as a garage and as formal tuners.
