This server crash has turned out way bigger then I ever imagined it could be, so even if we are online this weekend, who knows what kinda shape (online quality) the server will be in. As of now, I'll plan on having my lounge set up for our G2 Daytona Road Course, and just play it by ear with whoever shows up and has an opinion. Any Vintage League racers that arn't already on my friend list, feel free to send me a req as soon as we are back online. My psn is the same as my name here

i'll jump in on sunday if its on. Im looking to test my GT350R's tune and Daytona Road Course would be a great place to do it.

I'm really anxious to see that GT350 perform, I've stated before that I'm a Chevy guy, but nobody can deny the coolness of those Gt350's and 500's. I've ran some laps at a couple tracks in my 350, and been unable to tame it. Looking forward to the much anticipated debut of your tune.

Im just as excited my friend its gonna be a good day for that car since im very familiar with that track and car. Whats great about this car is its not too bad on the understeer but it will bite you back if you push it too hard. When i do finally reveal it to you guys just know it isn't perfect only alot more manageable than the stock tune.

Fun Weather lately!

Good times.

I just got a lengthy email from PSN, turns out it was hacked pretty good. All the information you have with PSN, such as: passwords, email address, billing address, etc have been comprimised. quote: "While there is no evidence at this time that credit card data was taken, we cannot rule out the possibility." and "If you have provided your credit card data through PlayStation Network or Qriocity, out of an abundance of caution we are advising you that your credit card number (excluding security code) and expiration date may have
been obtained."

I'm sure all of you got this email as well. I don't know about you guys, but this sure makes me feel a lot better.

Maybe im one of the lucky few but i haven't resieved this email. Im hoping my info isn't out there i dont really need identity theft right now that would put a bummer on things.

Oh man. Thinking about sending PD some sound bites to use on these muscle cars. When I get home you guys are going to love it. So many Trans Am Mustangs and Corvettes. Sweet looking 63 Fuelie split window!

Oh yeah, Tomorrow I get to take my car out on the track (parade lap)

Hey Kalmiya missing the pictures you told about showing here and the races of the loving muscle cars, I have been trying others cars ans practicing to drive better

Kal, try to find somebody to grab a pic of you on your lap, would love to see your REAL car on a track

I am def going to try! It won't be full on racing but its somethign worth while to do! I do know I ll get a inside video of me going around the track if my friend can hold the camera still!

What car are you running Kal?
Well, My First car I have ever owned, bought for myself by myself lil over 6 years ago with 108,XXX on the clock. Currently sitting lil less than 7,000 miles from 200K is my Eagle Vision ESi. She's run once at a DragStrip, and 4 SCCA Autocross events.
IMG_0403.jpg

She is a tad slow(hopping to add a bit of zest with some sweet Shelby Can Am Parts), but has a few tricks up her sleeves when it comes to handling.

Can I still register for this?
Sure can. Just show up at the next race. Whenever ever the hell that might be!

Oh yeah here's a video. I have no clue what Two of my cameras, one a cannon Power shot, and the other a fuji make this stupid, irritating swish swish swish noise!

I'm having 'online racing withdrawal', I must have raced the Historic Cup 12 times this weekend. Oddly, every time I pass the '63 Z06 I find myself intentionally leaving a lime green paint stripe on his door...weird

I am very interested in this series. I have a lot of cars that can compete in these races and I think I will test my Cobra for group 1 and definatly my GT350R for group 2. I'm a Shelby heartthrob so that's why I'm running those two. A few questions are is the first season already done? If so when does the second one start up? I will defenetly be ready to race when PSN goes back online.

I got to run quite a few laps, and alot fo them I was able to go all out in the sections. However one Section I braked in fear of the cars in front of me as I crested over a hill, and of course, I was in a turn and that, plus the speed, I managed to royally spin out. No damage, I just let the car roll back into the grass let other passed and jumped back in. Man it was a rush.

Once I finish Going through alot of these photos, I'll Post some more of the Vintage Cars!

Kal, just go into your settings and turn your rear brakes down one notch! lol

Good stuff Kal. Lets see the pic/video of you spinning out!

I wish we had it! I had a alot of the crowd cheer at me cause you could tell I was going for it, one guy yelled "learn to Drive" which, you know, I was. And seeing that I was on the track and he wasn't. Enough said.

Kal, just go into your settings and turn your rear brakes down one notch! lol
I believe the car is a little un balanced with the thick rear sway bar, this could have been a part but I clearly know ti was driver error. Cresting on a hill at speed in real life there is a instinctive fear that you have and you slow down, and that is what I did causing the upsetting balance leading to it.

I slid sideways pretty good.

No, he needs skid recovery force turned on

Not available in real life. Plus, I wouldn't want it.

Here is a video, You will here me remark this is awesome. It was. You will also hear a remark my buddy saying Don't kill my tires, His set of Eagle F1 and 300M Special 18" rims are on my car. Needless to say, it was a blast. The video does not convey the speed. I topped out at 80 on the straight away, entered first turn around 40-50, stayed above 40, and on the down slope going through the S turns I was going 50-65, then back to 45 ish on to turn into back straight, then we bunched up as everyone made gaps for the chicane, My approach speed was around 50-60mph, entry 40-50mph, exit speed low 40s. My car does not have the power to pull back up to speed.

You will notice at the end it I went the wrong way, The first time we went that way and on the second lap by the time I saw them take that route correcting would have been unwise. At the very end you can hear the track lady yell at me.

In short, No car in this game, can even compare to my Lowly Eagle going around this track. Just doing it in real Life is just plain simple AWESOME!

thanks for shearing with as, in tweeter are post telling sony will be open again this week the network

Gentlemen, my PS3 needed the hard drive to be formatted and wont let me upload my GT5 data so no testing of my GT40 or GT350R :banghead: I honestly wish my daily driver handled like the stock GT350R in the game, its a hell of a handful i love it!! As soon as the PSN is back up and i can find the time i will post my tune for the sake of the community losing hope tuning their Shelby. I also have plans to tune other cas with similar handling like the Zonda C12S 7.3, Saleen S7, Shelby Cobra 427(understeers more than i thought it would), and maybe a few others if my GT350R tune gains popularity. Now what would you guys prefer, i post the tune here for you guys to try and review or post it straight to the tuning forum? Or i could do both.
Also, Kal those are amazing photos! I love the GT40 i wish i could change the number on the in car game. I almost expected you to show the entire field whats up in that Eagle since your always in the top 3 when we race. Enjoy the racing!

Is there still room for one more? If so I will be racing a 66' Sublime Green Cobra( I will post a tune for it if you would like) and a 65' GT350R. Haven't really dialed in the 350R yet but by the time PSN gets back on it'll be ready.

200mph, did you lose your garage saves? I've got a ton of cars and I've spent some time in the trading threads, so I know how the "trade" works. Let me know if I can be of assistance.

The Eagle only has 160 Hp for a 3400 Lbs car! Not to mention nearly 200K miles and a Automatic Trans (even though I did install the 96' option Autostick) I did well in the corners but going up the hills and powering out of turns I just did not have the right weight to power combo. Regardless, I bet the Civic in front of me (until I spun out) was wondering how I was managing to catch up with him or stay at pace through the turns! (and it wasn't stock, saw some under car components and a roll cage with a stripped interior!) I will say this, I drove well over 400 miles the past two days, using a/c on and off, putzing around the track and infield, and racing hard core, and still avg 24.6 mpg! I normally get 26-28 mpg with just highway (70-80mph speeds, lower speeds, higher mpg)

Is there still room for one more? If so I will be racing a 66' Sublime Green Cobra( I will post a tune for it if you would like) and a 65' GT350R. Haven't really dialed in the 350R yet but by the time PSN gets back on it'll be ready.

More than welcomed to join in, just send a friend request to me or Skeletor and this Sunday if the servers are up join my lounge. (I normally send out messages that the room is open)

Yeah, if you lose some cars, let me know. I have like 4 Shelby GT350Rs.

Thanks guys but i didn't lose any of my cars i am just inable to use my save data until the PSN comes back up and they recognize the data as my own. It gives me that message that it is someone elses file and i cant use it. As soon as it comes back up ill hurry up my tune for the GT350R so i can share it. I'll post the tune in the tuning forum and post the link here. My hope is that it gets reviews and decent criticism.
Nice work there Kal, those tuner kids think their cars are fast as hell once they add that carbon fiber miscellaneous crap. Keep up the good work.

Well, I have to say, this Civic besides a larger than I would perfer exhaust pipe, had no body work at all and looked stock. I hope he keeps it that way as it makes the car look great being non ricer typical but has some work done. I would actually give him credit too as his line would seem he had a clue on what he was doing (unlike the corvette) I do believe either his civic had lower limits than my car or he was just going slower but I would catch up with him in several sections quick.

And for the other Cars!

That Awesome 63 Vette!

Are those pics from Road America? Haven't made it to that track yet, but its on my list =)
And I know that guy with the #75 Mustang. I seriously pissed him off at VIR when I beat him in my 63 Triumph Spitfire. I love being able to turn! lol

Anyways, I would very much like to join in this group if that is still an option. I currently have a Cobra 427 and a 69 Camaro RM, but I would be glad to prep a different car to run with you guys.

PSN: JLawrence_

Thanks!

We are welcoming new members to our league, you will need to send a friend req to Kalmiya117, he hosts the races in his lounge. See the first page for car eligibility, either of the cars you mentioned will fit in our Group 1 field (though I believe the agreed upon PP limit is 640) you will just need to set up a car for group 2. We only have a couple weeks left in season one, but have already been discussing improvements in format for season two

On PSN or in the forum?
And I will go and set up a pair of cars to meet regulations!

I don't suppose you'll let me run my Ginetta will you? ;)
