I'm ok with the setup from first season, but I like the new tire proposal. If you guys wanna setup any other optional testing sessions, I'll be happy to participate and give my opinion

That sounds good. I'll bring a z28 and a Cuda with all tires available

Ill be there whith my two z28 to the test , I propose in stead of ss tyres to think about the racing hard or medium to limit the 550 pp or whith ss tyres use 450 to 500 pp

Goodies I got today from my Awesome Can-Am Contact!

Original Shelby Coil, and Plug wire set for Dodge 3.3 Can Am to be tested on my car, and a pair of Racing Dual Valve springs for testing!

Your gonna have to register that thing in the next higher PP class soon!

Tell you what, Finding info on stuff like this, trying to cross reference spring pressures, and cam designs and stuff. GT5 makes this stuff look to easy.

I did find new Dual springs, 17 bucks for a pair. Still trying to confirm they will work with a roller cam. (seat and opening pressures play a huge role from what I am reading)

I've been running my G2 Cuda trying to break it in, set it to different PP levels on SS tires while doing so. I think 530 PP might be a decent compromise, lowering it to there took me from 570 HP to 480, it was still easy to get sideways if I wasn't careful, but I could power out of turns a lot more. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

I should add, the seasonal muscle car challenge is a blast in our G2 cars on SS, but you definatly gotta lower the power a bit for it to be challenging. And I think my Cuda will have something for you guys at the speedways, that torque monster LOVES tall gearing!

By the way, seems like not many people do much with the Cuda cause of it's ill-handling feel in stock form. I've set one up in my shared cars with my G2 setup on it, feel free to beat it up a bit and tell me what ya think!

The more I drive these Classics on SS tires, the more I'm loving it. I went the whole weekend without even driving my G1 car. Deffinately voting for G2 at 530pp with Sport Softs. A couple of us got together Sunday and ran 'em at 540 w/SS and had pretty good results, but I think 530 should keep complaints to a minimum.

Regardless of tires, I got to see Skeletor's 'Stang run and yikes! We got our work cut out for us.

Speak up racers, let's get this season going! We need to commit to tire/regulation choices so we can quit using this thread and start bumping the season two thread up!

We tried "meeting in the middle" @ 525 between 550 and 500, and I thought that worked out very good. I like 530 on SS tires.

I vote ya.

last night I was testing a dodge charger R/T 70 with ss and 550 pp but I think with 500pp will be better because is less power to manage in this monster with ss

I thought you were going to use the z28 in G2 class?

500 is a little too low. 550 is obviously too high. Try testing it out at 530pp. The "Muscle Car Championship" in the online seasonal events is a great place to do a 5 lap test. (3 of the courses are on our schedule) Plus you get over 100k CR's. 530pp should be very managable for any skill level.

I believe that learning to be a good driver on SS tires will help make you better driver on RS tires. IMO.

Lets turn off ABS too..... Just kidding...

Your right, it does... I was thinking about the Challenger sound:dunce:

I wish vacuum cleaners sounded like muscle cars.. instead of vise versa.... I would probably have a cleaner house....

....but I'd look pretty silly pushing my vacuum around in tight circles out in the street in front of my house...

530 on SS tires. Done. Now let's start racing.

Make sure to send me a link or a photo of your car you are running this season so I can post it in the new Trans Am Thread.

And we need someone else to run something other than a Camaro RM, I wish to have atleast one of each car....
