My mom has an 04 Accord 4cyl that I drove while I had my permit several years ago. Great car for driving around down. It does have VTEC, which I know is a popular joke with domestic guys, but even when driving it and getting on the gas, you can feel when it kicks in. Pretty cool stuff. I've been trying to see if she'd turbo it haha; that'd be fun. :)

PS - My family has never been into any particular brand. We have a Chevy, Pontiac, Ford, Honda, and Toyota in our driveway (the Chevy gets the garage though...since it's 42 years old ;) ). So while American V8s will always be my fav, there's also something quite cool about a butt kickin 4 cylinder. Problem is, most import guys around here are too worried about their wheels and body kits and forget that 115hp just isn't gonna cut it :indiff: .

I've been informed the shifter is on a "long term backorder" at Fastline's partner distributor, HeelToe Automotive. I asked about the status directly at Fastline, because their site lists it as in stock. If it really is, I'll have to order the slow way directly through Fastline. DAMN.

Vandalised I'm guessing?

Geez, why does it always have to be Hondas people are so jealous of?

That sucks man, best of luck to whatever you plan on doing now.

Can the roof be fixed easily and/or cheaply? A new windshield and hood with paint is gonna run over $500 most likely. Bummer. It seems really unusual for a hood latch to fail. Do you know why it happened?

Well the roof could probably be pushed out. The dents are visible but not very deep. If I can find a hood I'll just rattle it black for now. I had been thinking of getting a carbon hood but its not in the budget right now.

The hood hit so hard it knocked the rear view mirror and the dome light cover off...

The latch itself had been sticking. It just didn't fully grab the hook I guess.

I'm guessing the secondary latch thing didn't catch it? Or have you removed that for some reason?

Or US cars don't have that safety device?

So I picked up a set of stock Base model Prelude blades yesterday. They are in excellent condition except 1 which has minor road rash. Now what I wanted to do was swap out the good for the bad, polish the bad and swap them back, but I was told this was a bad idea due to sealing issues with the tires. Anyone have any experience with this, or a better method of doing this?

BTW the blades were only $150, a steal IMO. 👍

I went for a run in the mountains again today.

Blew out a coolant line as soon as I reached the top. I knew I shouldn't have used the old lines when I changed the intake manifold.

Wiper blades?

Honda's are quick cars! I prefer old school muscle cars but I do love Honda's as long as they ain't riced out. I guess its something about a tiny motor that can pack a huge punch

Say hello to Cali. They come up with a stupid word for everything. Blades? Come on. The only blades I know of are donk rims with rubber band tires. Those are blades. But apparently they've applied it to tiny 15s with sharp spokes, too. It's just Cali white kids trying to be cool.

I dont live in california, and every prelude owner that I have ever known has called the 5th gen base wheels sawblades because they resemble saw blades 👍 There were even sawblade wheels on the 4th gens too

I personally don't like the new NSX. I think the only way to successfully bring back the NSX is to make it a MR car with great styling, the new one seems too 'boxy' for my liking

Hey hey hey, I've neglected to post it here. Even though you all saw it elsewhere...
