I tried my GT5P online today.

So over-rated! I had a few races, but can't see myself oing back there any time soon.

Got to update to Spec II though, so that was good.

I think you do need a fairly fast connection. It came up with this 'news' ticker that said slower connections can race with less opponents to give better response 'and a closer race'. So it may work if you're down on bandwidth.

I haven't tried the online yet actually. I'm still banking and buying cars and beating everything, or at least trying to. I love how this GT is genuinely difficult in some situations.

I got it for $1100, as you can see the paint is faded, the door hinges need to be replaced, need a radio, and I have no rpm gauge. Positives: it's a 5-speed, it's a Civic. Other than those issues the car runs good. I plan on either boosting it when I get a y8 head or gett a B18B down the road but the D15 has to do for now. Btw, I detailed my car yesterday.

EG coupes don't seem to be very popular for tuning. What's the deal? Time Attack, I think this calls for a load of tuned EG coupe pics.

Hmm can I join?

I used to have one, that made me a Honda fan. :)
I like other cars too, but there's so much personal feelings involved.

It was a black '85 Honda CRX, that I really loved.
It felt like the fastest thing I had ever driven, probbly mostly because of the lightweight 800kg body, and it's handling and cornering were insane.

Funniest comment I had was from an ambulance driver at the gas station where I stopped for gas:
"Ooo-oo, how beautiful and small car!":)

We had some many adventures together, I was really heart-broken when we had to sell it later on since it was slowly going in a really bad shape..
Sob.
:(

Nothing new has happened with anybody's cars? Also, RPF1s come in black now. Too bad black would be crappy with my red car. But still, I've never seen a picture of black ones. That'd be killer.

EDIT:

Okay...maybe that would be killer with the red. Hmm...but where do I get the sticker? Looks to me like they don't come with the Enkei logo.

I have a reason to post here again.

Why the hell is my Si suddenly devoid of any electricity? My navigation doesn't turn on, and my dashboard lights disappear after 1 second. :ouch:

Will it start? The dead battery thing seems just too obvious. My friend's Si had a thing where the battery would "die" "temporarily". He could leave the doors open for a few hours while cleaning it, then try to start it and the battery wouldn't go. He left it sit a half hour and then it worked fine. Not a clue what happened, but it's done it more than once. And no, new batteries don't die in a few hours. They'll power your stereo at full blast for over 24 hours, guaranteed.

I'm sure it will (or hoping), but I never fully started it, just the radio & A/C, and now, pretty much nothing comes on. Dashboard lights flick off instantly, nav. doesn't come on, and no A/C. I only spent 20 minutes in it just setting my radio beforehand.

EDIT*
Just checked, and the car does not start. Looks like I have a dead battery, and an e-mail to send.

You're one of the few people who think that for some reason. They look awesome with the red logos and valve stems, but neither are included. So instead of paying more for the wheels and then the emblems and stems on top of that, I'll just save over a hundred dollars and get the silver ones. I just don't feel the exclusivity will be worth that extra money and trouble. Besides, they're only going to be rare for a few months and then everyone will be snagging them.

I've decided I'll be buying the silver ones. The black ones don't come with the red logos (lame) or a red valve stem which would be required for coolness. Plus, a set is $100 more expensive on Edge Racing, and that's without the valve stems and stickers.

And with that $200 I'll save over Tire Rack I'd like to buy this:

You know you want it.

Also, I was brainstorming today on how to improve my suspension without spending tons of cash. I came up with a possible solution. New sway bar bushings and end links.

I would totally rock that gearshift in the Prelude 👍 BTW what brand is it? I am currently trying to find a second set of 5th gen sawblades to polish them.

A little hole in the wall called Fastline Performance. They make a few specialty items difficult to find anywhere else.

Keef, gold wheels on a red car are best. Shoulda waited out on a set like that.
I haven't ordered them yet. I'm buying them for the performance benefit, not the looks, though they do play a factor. Also, the Japanese market gold-painted RPF1s are god awful ugly. Eww.

I believe that Prelude's shifter is cable actuated, but obviously you would know before me. All I know is that this thing--which I ordered last night :sly:--is the final step to tightening up my shift linkage.

Keef: That shifter is awesome. Now it just needs to be topped with a big skull or 8-ball.

Tim Allen would approve, I do think.
Lmao. Well, I was thinking more this...
