Well, chances are the horses will go faster than the 2 old daimler benz "buggies". With horses they could show even more game "depth" by having a track crew drive around and pick up the horse poop !

This thread is likely a heartbeat away from being locked up for good. I'm talking about locked, flush the key down the toilet. I don't think horses will be a good idea. I'm not racing a horse around Le Mans or Grand Valley (input your Nurburgring Nordschleife jokes/insults/fascinations here). I'd rather ride with horsepower. The only way I see horses being used is either in rallies with animals roaming the outsides of the course, or in educational deals with something like "before the car, there were horse-drawn carriages." Other than that, I don't see this idea working. If I want a horse in Gran Turismo, I'll race a mustang... a Ford Mustang that is.

I'd like to see GT5 NakedChickz mode where the race is done by 24 naked babes in different outtfits.

First, you have to enter Barbie mode where you can put various equpment on your selected chick (high heels, masks, change hair colour, pink or not, cup sizes and so on), and after that you qualify with you favorite chick, and then race.

Winning gets you brand new 18+ PinkMyRide slutty with T-Shirt "Have tried anything but Death".

And this is not being sarcastic to ultrabeat, this is really serious idea which would appeal to more people then riding horses.

B-Spec wouldn't have any problems to handle the speed though. 👍

Actually I have a better idea we have GT5 a car simulation but part of the ai framework should include streakers...

You get points for running down the fat ugly ones and you can offer the buff ones a lift, if damage is allowed in gt5 the buff streakers should heal your car. It would be complemented with the camera going under the car for a few seconds while the car bounces on its axels.

Anyone else like my idea?

MachOne, you're too much! Sometimes, a dull topic can be made more interesting with stuff like this. I really don't think horses will be good for Gran Turismo games. Here's another dumb idea about horses. Instead of hitting the button to engage nitrous, the horse takes a dump on the race track.

Regardless, I think this is silly to talk about horses to race with. There are horse jockey games complete with chase cam views of ass-humping by the jockey and the horse itself. I'd even hate to imagine license tests involving horses. Next thing you know it, you'd be in a rally test a la Safari Rally. "Steer your Subaru Impreza WRC around the wild horses. Hit a horse, and you're automatically disqualified." Or what else? Online horse racing? Sure! Because nothing is more entertaining than keeping your car in the garage and race some good-old fashioned race horses! Next thing you know it, it's Smarty Jones vs. Bellamy Road or whatever the hell horses are named nowadays.

Hell, I'm a Texas guy, I've even seen policemen on horses. Not even us Texas ranch owners would want to race Gran Turismo with horses. I think this is the damndest weird deal I've ever seen discussed to be in GT5. Since many of us made this thread from a dumb idea to a comedy showcase, if you want to talk about how cool horses will be in the next Gran Turismo, sound off!

For a realistic horse-race, you need to include the spook-factor and the oops-I-tripped-on-a-rock random event. Every time the horse gets passed by a car, it rears up and dumps its rider (ever wonder how those drivers stay on the Mercedes buggies no matter what you do?), or the horse may stumble when running over a rumble strip.

But seriously, horses... no. Go-Karts... yeah!
