Awesome post Stumpy. I love to see how traditional/street freakish hot rod treatments gets applied to non-american cars. some of those old british tin cans look awesome when hot rodded!!

And that Spectre Camaro indeed looks awesome. the thing was crashed while track-racing a while aback, I don't know if it has been repaired already or that pic is older than that.
 
Freaking damn RocZX, AWESOME POST! Very historic too! Amongts the more famous cars in there, there's also the Ramchargers' "High and Mighty" (the blue car with 8 pipes coming out of the fenders), the first car to play with weight transfer and the originator of the gasser stance, and the '62 Vette in the B/W picture was Paris Fish's street car in 1970, way before the advent of supercharged street freaks. A wild-ass ride for that time.
 
Don't care for the new 5.0 in that '69, though that is kind of cool I have to admit but I'd rather it have an original engine.

Are you really reading what you're saying? Nothing in the car is from Ford with the exception of the engine, which is, mind you, the best engine Ford has ever made, and yet you want it to have an original dinosaur?

You are aware that even the car body isn't FoMoCo? It's a Dynacorn repro body, the chasis is aftermarket in it's entirety, and the Coyote just has a cam, the injectors and calibration to make just shy of 500 hp.

Really dude, wtf.
 
I'm totally aware of what is done to that car. I'm just saying I'm more of a purist,and the fact a small block would weigh much less and make equal power if built right. That said there is nothing wrong with this car at all. As I said I'd rather have an "original" motor. IMO, classics look cooler, sound better and they all make great power.

I don't agree that the Coyote 5.0 is the best engine Ford has built though. I will agree that it is a great engine in it's own right, yes, but I'd say that the best Ford's built goes to either the 300 I6, Windsor or 385 series engines for them all being reliable and having many many many years behind them backing it up. For me it's a toss up between those 3, however I lean more towards the 300 I6. This is more of my opinion however.

What years are we talking here? My father owns a freshly restored '56 Chevy Stepside, and his father owns an old Model T. Maybe when I get the time will take some photos.
