That's the other only recent one I have torq thrusts on. Also I coulda lowered it but was too lazy.

Eh, sorry but eeeew on the supermarket kart wheels on those. All of those... but specially the Unimog

To each his own buddy.... they are more scale sized. If i ever saw a real hako or kenmari with giant donk wheels, i would punch the owner! Lol!

They are more to scale, but they don't fit in the wheel arch provided. If you were to remodel the arches to a more appropriate size, that's a whole different story.

This Panamera had a faulty paint job so i tried something to make it look good.
sorry for the bad quality photos. but it looks good upfront. :)

***seeking suggestion for easy matte finish. anyone there to help this newbie?? :) ***

Rub some wet 2000-grit sandpaper on it. That will make any gloss go dull.

So I took my Z4 out for a cruise along the coast...

Airbrushed it this time. Finish came out dull and gritty. Covered it up with clear coat and it looks like cured polish on the nails! I mixed two colours for this, the actual colour was much darker than what you see. I think the thinner and PSI may have blown away some of the pigment saturation.

It looks good, and the color suits the car really well. The wheels, though ):

@Nessy that Escort looks incredible!
Thanks man. 👍

@Cano. You've really brought that Porsche back to life and then some, (i remember you posting the pre resto pics, way back). Also agree with AOS about the wheels, excellent choice.

[EDIT]

@AOS- BMW would look nice with some PR5's or Y5's (imo).

Which mainline HW/MB wheels would you have used?

Maybe 10-spokes. Also, detail the windshield frame!

Cheers dude. Those wheels were a ray of light. The car sat painted for at least a year and a half until those two 57 Chevys came in a lot I bought off E-Bay. At first I was gonna sell them cars, until I really paid attention to the wheels.

Dang guys, nice customs. :)

I posted three cars in the other HW thread earlier that I might get into tomorrow if I don't have too much going on. Although I'll be winging it, so hopefully nothing goes wrong. :nervous:

It may prove to be difficult to get into the nook and crannies, but other than that, I don't see why not.

@Nessy. Yeah I was thinking about those two wheels, but I opted out on them both for very good reasons:

1) PR5s usually go fine with most modern cars, but over use that and its image becomes even more generic than it already is. That's just me though.

2) Y5 would be a good sub, but the odd thing about Y5s is that the rim on those things are so large that the tires are skinny. Despite the entire wheel being the same size as everything else, it almost makes it look like there's an absence of tires. 5SP wheels are the same size, but you'll notice the tire has some thickness to it. Had Y5 been made with smaller rims, I'd have picked Y5s for most of my customs instead of J5. 👍

@Cano. Maybe. I was expecting you to say PR5  I need to stock up on 10SPs in any case.

Well, I went to another Walmart and got some regular primer. So now with stripper, primer, paint and clear coat, you and the other guys can expect some cars from me. :)
