Hey Cano, here's how that guy made those wheels:

That's neat but I'm confused how to do it

Ghost, use the edit button please

Not wanting to sound like a mini-mod but better to have a mini-mod on your case than a real mod.

If you cut too much, you can fill it back up with baking soda and superglue. I'd recommend using a sandable putty if you can because the former can stick to your cutting disk and files.

But wait, AOS, you're posting a basic mainline car!

Not quite. I was sampling new paint I got a week ago to see just how opaque the white really was. Turns out there is some opacity to it which explains why the gloss red seems faded.

What is neat is that highlights are now accentuated. They bring out the edges so much more (not necessarily better).

Will work great on white cars, not so much other colours. It may work okay if the coat is kept thin. Who knows.

I'm about to put my first coat of primer on a stripped car, but I think I remember hearing that you need to wash them first. What do I need to know?

Finished pic-taking, but don't have time to process all the photos right now. I'll get Series 3 out of the way real quick, because it is (For the most part) an embarrassment:

These 3 were finished last year:

I had wet coats of clear that didn't set well. I had them sitting on the open display case since I completed them, so dust particles got infused into the finishing coat. They just don't come off anymore.

Here are the other two I finished not too long ago:

The ASX turned out horrible. I had the impression a slammed modern SUV in white would have rice appeal, but the offset rear wheels is just gross. Couldn't do anything about it though, that's the limitations of lowering vehicles. The bonnet also doesn't close up completely anymore. The hell, car? The Mustang came out great overall, until I started leaving a mess painting the window trim.

Quick origin lesson for those unfamiliar with the series:

The Illustrious Series (IS) is a group of customs with a universal colour scheme I made up last year. The goal of it was to gain a recognizable image within the community of diecast customizing hobbyists, by exposing the same colour scheme constantly with newly-painted cars, and sharing finished works to social groups. Unlike most hobbyists, I'm put quantity of customs over the quality of. Eventually, I'll have a huge stash of these guys, and eventually will have it framed up on a wall.

BTW @mustang_fanatic, you'll hate me for this, but I'm going to have to go back on my word about handing you the Mustang. It would break up the Series 3, since I always do 5 cars per series. Sorry dude. Wanna commission me to do a different Mustang?

That's okay. I didn't expect you too. :)

Looks killer though. 👍

If only it was the other way around.
Heck yes. It would be a must for wheels.

Here is another really interesting way to make your own axles with ease and best of all without doing any chassis modifications! :D

This guy has a lot of useful tutorials on his YouTube page.

I hate the original stance if the 69 Torino Talladega, so...

Picture quality is horrible, but you get the idea.

Edit: and a Charger I'm just about finished

It's not too often I drool at my own work, but damn.

Door handle? Further detail on the headlamps? Additional elements like an emblem or intercooler like Cano suggested? Oh you bet there's always more to add. :)

Got more pics, dude? I wanna see more.

It's too bad you didn't find 7 split-spokes. Do correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't your intent to make a replica of Brian Walker's car?

Body color.

Maybe with decals, didn't feel like spending the time on them.

Nah.

Nope.

Nothing left to detail on the outside anyway.

B-pillar in the glass piece, them little llights on each side of the rear license plate space which, iirc, one was white and one red?

And wasn't the diffuser and at least part of the wing black?
