Eh, never noticed when I was working with them.
Photos do tend to bring out the worst sometimes.
I actually had two photo sessions with that BMW I posted in this thread. I took pictures, noticed that I was sloppy with the black paint on the front, deleted all of the pictures, fixed the car and took pictures again.
If I wouldn't have taken the pictures the car would stay the way it was originally since the front didn't bother me at all.
Yeah, I'll retouch the axle tips when I take it appart again, even if it's a pain in the ass to make the spacers fit again, as they move a damn lot.
I'd just resize the axles. Had to do it on the RX-7.
They'd still have play. The chassis finishes way "inside" the car for the Co-moldeds to fit well AND if I resized the axle to fit, the wheels would be oddly tucked inside the fenders, it looks horrible. I need the spacers to push the wheels out.
Not true, just make the "new axle" the length you need. Re-sizing doesn't mean you have to make it shorter.
you haven't gotten me. It's not the axle size the one's wrong, is the width of the chassis portion that holds the axle, which is really narrow and "engulfs" the tires into the body.
M-Power - you turned a Maisto into a Redline?
The original wheels were ghastly - all the Maistos that have those wheels should be modded. The Maisto quality seems to be improving with the new castings - esp the paintjobs and tampos. The metallics they come out with are really great. I have a whole bunch of Maistos that need to be modded.
Did I mention that I went to a hobby store I 'discovered' a few months ago and found just the perfect sized tubing for making axles bigger/smaller.
Just perfect.
Alas I do't do that much customizing and I don't know what to do with all of it. I'll probably throw it away as it's useless cheap junk.
My long finished Skyline and a few WIPs.
are you guys doing that for your customs?
R1600TurboMy long finished Skyline and a few WIPs. CRX is waiting for decals (if I find any) and a clear coat. Red CRX is finished, waiting for me to find a 2-56 tap so I can hold it together with screws. Celica is waiting for detail.
Attention:
Harry P Rider, *snip*
I'm also going to use one of the Pontiac GTO Boulevard I bought today as a second broke-down vehicle in the diorama... after I extract the wheels first .
Do you put any cars up for sale, om lovin that white nissan...
Nope.
