Monza 1966
1:29.852 - MaDHaX - Lotus 49 [Pro] Manual with h-shifter and clutch

Magione
1:20.912 - MaDHaX - KTM X-BOW R [Pro] Manual with h-shifter and clutch

Imola
1:44.872 - MaDHaX - BMW M3 GT2 [Pro]

At first the Lotus 49 and KTM X-BOW took a little while to get used to but started putting in descent lap times towards the end of the session. I'm loving this sim, cant wait for online.

What tires were you on for all those?

I've had barely a chance to play Assetto Corsa and haven't touched it on the weekend. Plenty of free time today tho so I gave it some more laps to see if I can beat Aderrmms X-bow at Magione time (which will last for about 1 day before he goes 1 second faster).

I went flappy paddles this time (still used the clutch tho, as autoclutch makes you slow as hell on the straight). For some reason I don't understand, but I completely ruined my previous best ghost time on my first lap, so I have no idea what was happening before, instantly into the 1:19ss when previously I was stuck in the 1:20s (albiet only did a few laps)... Anyway, I then noticed the car had ABS available as an incar feature (not an ingame driving aid but part of the car, so still set to pro).

And with that I did a 1:18.5 after a couple laps, 1:17s are definitely doable and I suspect Addermm will prove that shortly. I don't really know why I had issues with the car before.

As for the BMW GT2 at Imola, I haven't touched it, I was stuck around the 1:42.4 times last time and couldn't get into the 1:41s without abusing track limits (seen a lot of that in 1:41 replays). I'm gonna give it a rest and try some other cars (M3 E92!!) for a while.

Nice time you got there, maybe I should give this another go with the paddle shifters and abs :)

I took a break from the E30 for now so I can get a good feel for the other cars but i'm determined to get under 2.15 with the h-shifter :D

Wardez it might be a good idea to split the times of individual cars like you have done with the Tracks. So maybe you could do something like:-

Hey guys, best I've managed with this combo although left a good bit of time of track and had a bit of a moment through the last corner .

Imola - 29.320|39.404|35.008 1:43.732 - Green - BMW M3 GT2 - Super Soft (ABS ON)

Was doing it without ABS but kept messing up T1, although I think downshifting too quickly was part of the problem my heavy left foot was the other. :dopey:

looks like Wardez isnt updating this thread anymore :/
Nah, give him a chance, he'll do it as soon as he gets a chance, this is just for fun and we all have bills to pay! Anyhow...he'll have plenty to update tomorrow after we get the update! Lol!

This car and this track are amazing. I'm really enjoying Mugello overall, as my laps with it in the Formula Abarth were also splendid. It's a very forgiving but challenging track that doesn't want to kick the car out from under you like Imola does.

I've been back in the BMW M3 GT2 at Imola this afternoon and a bit of a revelation. First I accidently had my wheel set to only 600 degrees from playing SimRaceway, secondly I changed the setup back closer to the default and actually gained speed. I think my other setup though it made it easier to drive was causing a lot of understeer. Now originally I couldn't drive the default setup very well which is why I had to dial understeer into the setup, but it seems by leaving my wheel at 600 degrees I was able to be quicker reacting to the car and thus I can now drive the default setup a lot easier.

so with this fresh outlook it saw me quickly hit a 1:41.868 and get the "Man with a german accent" achievement. Sadly when I went back to the menu it still didn't update my personal best. My current PB shows as 1:42.136 - 28.588, 39.052, 34.496. With this setup I can bang them out consistantly, even my 1:41.8 lap wasnt my full potential, I lost 0.3s on one of the corners!

Here is the telemetry for the 1:41.8. It still shows as my best in the telemetry even tho it doesn't show up in the menu

I will definitely upload a replay tonight now that I'm in the 1:41's. And to be honest, 600 degrees from now on as it also fixed my inability to drift the E92 M3 road car!

I need to get some laps done on some other cars. Here is the replay for the 1:41.868, was a nightmare to record because the stupid game bugs out since this patch and the transport bar (play, pause, slow mo etc) won't leave the screen for ages, then I pressed some keyboard buttons and it started changing camera by itself. Thankfully it worked out and looks good

Not happy with the lap at all, the corner/section at 55s ish is the most important part of the track (nailed it in the video, rest of the lap is meh). I've done about 20-30 1:42.0 laps tonight trying to beat this lap and I lose 0.3-0.6s every time on that single section, even though I'm consistantly faster in S1 and most of the rest of the track. I've binned so many laps estimated at 1:41.5 that I'm tearing my hair out. Anyway I've learned a lot, it seems if you take T1 in 4th gear with early braking you can attack the curb very hard and get away with it, worth about 0.3s over my old way of driving.

Did this friday night, 1:43.444 - Pagani Zonda R at Mugello. Not really what I'd call a hotlap but might aswell get the ball rolling.

Another video from friday night, a 1:49.040 at Mugello in the Glickenhaus P4/5 Competizione. Again more of a quick look at the car than a hotlap, but one to add to the list for reference.

Snaeper what tyres were you using on the P4/5?

I know you said standard tyres but is that the soft?
I guess so. I never bothered to check, I just got in the car and drove it, didn't change anything. Kept forgetting to check to see what tires they were.

Snaeper I think it is yeah.

Imari that is an excellent Idea yes but I wanted Kunos to have there app work for the game as I dont want to mess with app's that aint from Kunos themselves. Still if you do give it ago let me know how you get on with it.

Bazz nice times you got there and nice videos

haha, aww, but even Kunos themselves said that the best content is probably going to come from dedicated modders. Don't just go with official Kunos content, there's gonna be so much more.

Took the P4/5 around Mugello. The car has such good handling I put it on hards, it moves around a bit more then. I also tried Time Attack mode and that was very enjoyable! Had a bit of practice after...

1.46.964 - Aderrrm - P4/5 Competizione - Hard

Did anyone else notice the power graph of the P4/5 ends at about 8200 rpm with peak power at 7000, but on the rev counter in the cockpit the revs are able to go to 9000? I don't think they're properly synchronised.

I tried it. It's really easy to get going and seems to work perfectly and very fast. Times are on the boards seconds after I've posted them.

Also, the iRacing style delta app is great. I still think the iRacing style is the most visually compact and easy to read style of delta I've seen in any game.

@Wardez, Is there any chance we could get a lap timing/leaderboard app for GTPlanet?
Any way I could help make it happen?

That would be fairly easy, yeah, just need a guy who knows his way around Python.
