How are the physics?

The Z4 is a good car for Trailblazer. Especially if you're just starting out or don't know the stages intimates. I have to laugh every time someone goes for the SX4 (or in the Classic class, the Tacoma) simply because it's the most powerful. I've had way more success with less-powerful cars - like the Z4 and the Quattro - simply because I can control them. I've kind of graduated to the likes of the SX4 and the PM580, especially in Kenya and Michigan, because I know the stages well enough, and I'm learning the Norway ones (I can do Hafjell Decent and Vaaler Climb really well, but it's the third stage, Nordsetervegen) that I find difficult). The Finland ones a complete mystery to me because even though they all use the same core section of the stage (which is one of the best pieces of road in the game), it's the peripheral stuff that still throws me. So I still use the Z4 there.

I still find it weird how the Tacoma and PM580 simply don't destroy everything else! 💡

The power to weight ratios are so much higher than that of the other cars, and yet even in a straight line where driver skill counts for nothing, even the low power to weight ratio cars (i.e Z4 and Camaro) are just as quick! :ouch: .

I'd say there is some balancing going on. If they did destroy everything people would be up in arms about there being only one car to use. As was the case with the Dallenbach in Dirt2.

If you want to experience tricky physics in DIRT 3, get your hands on the MK.II Escort Cosworth. It's bloody difficult to drive.

I love to drove that car, really... In my senses, its a way more easier to drive than the grand punto s2000, car that i quite hate myself.
Well, going on topic, after 1 mouth playing dirt3, and for been the first rally dedicated game that I played ever ( race series player, also gt series ) I would say that the best starter for rally and gaming. And a encyclopedia in rally cars. I have to say that see cars like mini, renault alpine and 5 turbo, escort cosworth, fiat 131 abarth and peugeot 405, opel kadet, with a awesome cockpit view and quite detailed bodywork, is something to worthy, even if you are not a petrolhead, like me.
Rally stages is quite good, although it could be more longer; i love head2head stages... Driving with trucks and buggies was a welcome suprise; those race stages, with s2000 is what i dislike, but buttermilk races was very nice to spin around. Points off to the gymkhana stuff... I don't like myself drifting, goinf around donut and blablabla, ...
Related to the physics, despite others in rhis thread, and despite been a console game, IMHO, dirt 3 push the bondaries towards of console race games. Smashing the car in a tree, throwing it in a lake, falling off a hill never was that realistic... And funny. Felling.the bumps of road, the feedback after a jump, been hit by another car, see your door been riped off, your co pilot screaming "NOOO!" or "is just a scratch..."... Well lots of fun...
Conclusion: buy it. Don't be too hardcore minded, you gonna loose all the fun. Been in a wheel or in a DS3 doesn't quite matter if aiming loose yourself a bit, relax... You know?

Ps: I coud not play online yet; actually if somebody wants some race for real or for fun, add me please... PSN:Rods_Ramone

I have been playing WRC 2010 and now that I've played it again, it is seriously underrated!! As we have discussed it's a little tricky to get it in the US, but all UK drivers need to snag this. I really hope they make a new one...
Should be out in October: http://electronictheatre.co.uk/index.php/industry-news/8393-wrc-2-the-official-game-release-date-announced

I thought WRC 2010 was a great game - but so is DiRT 3 although both have a different emphasis is all (EDIT: this is just a general comment, not a reply to anything you said Grafpt :).)
