- I bounce around ... taking my P3 from my bedroom to another room, to the living room ... 32", 40", & a 46" HD LCDs. Soon to get a 60" LED LCD Smart TV (Sharp) for new addition to house.

85% of the time, my bedroom's 32" Sharp Aquos 1080p HDTV.

PS: Even if the display is 5-years-old, it still looks better than many of the screens out on the market.

I am running an older projector (non HD) that is set up for 84" 4:3 at about 9 ft away. I dig it.

About 4' away on a 40". Still, I'm going to buy a 28-32" 1080P and mount one closer.

Well, maybe. I don't like GT6 as well, and GT5 online is going away.

2 feet? 3 feet? 4 feet away from the screen??!

What's wrong with you??! The minimum (suggested) is like 6!

What are you watching ... an old 19" CRT?!

27" but it's two inches behind my steering wheel. 1080p
How good is this working for you? I'm currently about 6 feet from a 65" and was thinking of getting a 27" high resolution monitor and mounting it about a foot or two behind my wheel. It is time to get my set up out of the middle of the living room. Unlike MC5372 above, I didn't believe my mom when she told me I'd go blind.

Ha! There's a couple things that are supposed to make you go blind, but ... uhhh ... nevermind.

6 ft? That's about where I am. Probably more like 7 ... from a 55".

I think everybody else is going for that "Imax experience".

I did about 2 feet from a 24".
Had a choice between a new wheel+a rig, or a bigger TV. I'm glad I picked the new wheel and seat:)

Well, I usually measure things in metric scale, but I use Imperial measurements for screens, pizza and rims.
A Vivo 32" 1080p LCD... 10 feet away unfortunately, due to the layout of my room.

It works great. My room is 12ft. If I measured the angle and 27" right behind the wheel is the same as 75" on the far wall. Meke sure you get a 1080p.

I've a 19 inch, 4:3 aspect ratio TV. Looking to upgrade.

EDIT: Forgot to mention, but distance away is about five feet.

I'm just over 6 feet away with a 50, and that's fairly close to the maximum recommended distance.

Suggested by whom? How close do you sit to your computer monitor?

P.S. There is a slight chance I might have missed sarcasm. I'm not very good at detecting it.

I had a 32" Samsung TV that I gave to my brother, now I play on an Samsung 22" Monitor, sitting about 15 inches away from me. 👍

Suggested by 4 out of 5 dentists. I'm kidding ... I read it somewhere.

I actually measured earlier today and it's a little less than 3 ft (to the monitor). Of course, it's a desk and monitor ... not a Samsung 55".

P.S. Don't worry. I'm not very good at being sarcastic.

My problem with a smaller/closer screen will be my bifocals. Yes, I'm an old fart. I can see myself getting a pair of glasses just for racing.

Don't worry MC5372 we're all having fun here. It's something to do between Seasonal Events.

What! There's a new one?! Gotta go...

Honey, can you watch that in the bedroom?

Oh, never mind. Its just Time Trials. :banghead:

Actually, you're right. Miata 400pp again.

I use my 21,5 inch monitor on my desk, I sit like right in front of it, amazing quality in 1080p HD
(tech specs: Samsung SyncMaster S22B300B

Thanks for the advice. I got a 27" HP Pavilion 27xi computer monitor from Costco. Full HD. It was cheaper and better resolution than HD TVs and other monitors. I would look at the picture from 24" and this was the only one that I couldn't see the pixels. At first the colors were off but after I figured out how to adjust the picture it is great. The adjustment was not very intuitive and there were no instructions included or online. Not being a TV, it didn't have a remote with a handy menu button. I also turned down the contrast and sharpness to make it look more natural. I have a piece of granite counter top on an IKEA adjustable desk base. It's solid as a rock, literally. Every one that comes by to play is amazed.

Has anyone gotten a OLED yet?
