I understand that but I view things a little differently. Lets say he had the room settings correct.

I don't doubt that.. Ive known Chris since 5P and met him at the academy finals so I know he is as fast as he says he is and a genuine nice guy.. That lap time is 100% possible and we have ran a LOT of laps at Suzuka as it's basically the only track we ran in 5P.. I think what has given Chris an advantage would be his tune.. He knows how to make a good car. :)

Stotty I know your on a wheel and there will be some differences, But would you mind posting the tune you used? Everytime I change something on mine I slow down/become inconsistent. I would like to see how you set yours up.

Here's the set up I used. I don't think it's anything special - when a car's on tyres that grippy you don't need to do much with it and as I said, I didn't spent much time refining it... for exmple, I think it would go a bit quicker with less rear wing and more power.

Stage 3 turbo with power limiter at 85.6% to make 493bhp

Ride -15 5
Spring 15.3 14.8
Rebound 8 7
Bound 7 6
ARB 2 6
Camber 2.5 1.4
Toe -0.10 -0.20
LSD 10 15 5

Gears (set max speed to minimum, then set individual gears, then final)
1st 4.874
2nd 3.733
3rd 3.016
4th 2.499
5th 2.116
6th 1.814
Final 2.769

Thank you Stotty. I will try an overall higher camber and your roll bar/ride height settings.

Anyone get to verify Pastor's lap yet?

TTs are not my cup of tea. Anyone can turn a million laps and hit a good one at one point. I race.

You learn more about a car's characteristics when racing against yourself than when racing against others. See my thread in this sub-forum where I test over 250 cars on Suzuka. You can tell me there's no skill involved, but I'd have to disagree with you.

Can someone upload stotty's replay to youtube? Like I said I won't have access to a PS3 for a few weeks and would love to see where I am losing over a second.

If you don't mind it being crappy phone video, I can probably manage that in the next few days. I'd like to fix my sector 2 here - it was killing me in JGTS2. I could tell from practice splits, where I could gain 1-3 tenths on Dr_Watson and outlaw4rc (both faster than me, albeit in different cars), and then promptly lose 3. 2 corners, go figure, after one of the most technical sections anywhere (although the HSV rather owns those esses). It is not the Spoon that must bend, it is...

Got a 52.921 in 1/2 hr at that spec, IIRC. I could see mid 52s, but obviously no green blood here (CSL and cicua were about a second faster in the JGTS2 specs, Tony and max more, natch - so 50s would definitely be on the table). Offline, but settings correct. I like working with the ghost for research before online practice.

I'm assuming you want laps with a near-full fuel load? Light fuel would drop quite a lot of time around here - probably a full second.

Also, offline TT WRS participation is definitely not required for the online events, which are themselves all single self-contained events - you can just show up to what takes your fancy. Next qualifier batch would be processed about 2-3 weeks from now, I think.

The EU race timeslot tends to get generally slightly better attendance than NA lately, although the RUF Cup saw good fields overall last week. Dan (the Hyper one here), Wes, and Vagabond were all on track.

PS: Mike - Race more! No offline/online excuse any more! :sly: You too, Dion.

That would be great, I just want to see how he's negotiating some of the corners.

My laps were done with almost a full tank. I know it makes a difference, but I'm not sweating it because my laps were done with tire wear on and I didn't have a chance to do them with it off. I just wanted to get a ball park of my pace compared to some of the best.

Thanks for the rest of the info also.

I'm not a Racing Soft tyre user, so thought I would have a go at this to compare my pace with the more experienced users.

After 6 laps, I ran a 1:52.477. I'm not used to how late you can brake on these tyres, I'll have to learn to be more daring going into the corners. Could do with tweaking my set up, as it seems more suited to Racing Hards.

I'd probably struggle to break to 1.55's but then again, I'm not very fast...

There we go; again, apologies again for the quality.

It'd be interesting to know where you think there's time left.

Apparently I need to start messing with negative front toe. The grip that car has at 1:09 is amazing. My car isn't capable of doing that with the setup on it.
