Not trolling, just want to get an idea of how many from the GT planet community still play GT6.

GT4 kept me going for years. GT6, not so much.

How about you? do you still play it, or have you moved on?

I still play but quite honestly, I'll probably move on after the upcoming Academy is over. The desire to improve my skillset for the Academy is the only real reason I still play. To be honest though, the flaws in this game and my irritation with them are starting to out weigh my desire to stick with the game. I've pretty much made up my mind to leave the franchise after the Academy is over and move on to Xbox and Forza and PCars. I've already started plans for my new sim rig and have the money set aside for the hardware and such that I'll need for the switch. The jury is still out on if I'll buy a PS4 for GT7 whenever it comes out. I can tell you that GT7 won't be an instant purchase for me like 5 and 6 were. I have just lost to much faith in PD to blindly throw my money at them again. I'll wait, read the reviews and see what they actually come up with first before giving them my money. So yea, those are my plans and the answer to your question.....I'll be moving on.

I own it and play a little, very little lately basically just log in to get updates and run the laps for the VGTs as they come out. Played for a few days when B-Spec finally arrived but not so much the last few weeks.

I pre-ordered through amazon to get the 1,000,000 credits. I even bought a subscription to Amazon Prime ($80 at the time I believe) just to get it delivered on Friday instead of waiting until Monday or Tuesday.

I am only at 10% game completion.

I play every day.

I usually play every thursday when seasonals are up. Or if an update comes then i play a bit..
But when they bring a new track to the game then for sure it keeps me going the next 3-4 days
But usually its when seasonals come

Pretty much exactly how I feel too mate. I don't play it now because my ps3 recently gave up on life, but I still own the game. I was tempted to get an xbox for Forza and pCARS but I'm getting a ps4 instead as there are more games I like on it, and with pCARS around I doubt I'd play Forza much.

I'll do the same as you with gt7 though. I'll buy it IF it turns out to be any good, but I won't be pre ordering like I did with 5 and 6.

Own it, don't play it.

The transmission bug killed any interest I had left in the game. During the 3 long weeks it took to fix this issue, so much of my attention was on other racing games that by the time the time the bug was resolved, I just didn't feel the need to go back to GT6. Too little, too late.

I honestly don't see myself touching GT6 again until we finally get the course maker update.

You guys make it sound like its a huge commitment.

Seasonals still coming and if you look at Vision its only half done. Now granted Vision is like a visual magazine so I just hit it when this forum says its up and you go from there. I personally do not find much fun in driving these cars and I only do a half hearted lap just to 'own' the car.

That's all it is. An occasional diversion every two weeks to a month.

I doubt that most of the people who got rid of GT6 or are no longer playing it are frequent visitors of the GT6 subforum, so I think the results of the poll will be obvious. Most of the people I played GT5P/5/6 with have moved on to current-gen (PS4) or PC, so they're no longer playing any game on old-gen consoles. I too made the move.

Well I have all four consoles hooked up but yeah... for me both Microsoft sims have had their day. GT6 is now just in a holding pattern.

I'm of the opinion most people here will move to Project Cars. Just too much features in it to bother with legacy sims.

I still go for the occasional drive, but the last time I raced online was back in February. I voted that I still have it & play it, but the truth is that I hardly do anymore.

👍

So GT4 kept you going for years even though it had primitive graphics, primitive driving physics, and you played agaisnt the CPU, and GT6 not so much even though it has far better graphics and driving physics and you can play against other players online... interesting.

GT6 doesnt have a whole heap of career races though. compared to even GT5.

eg. Forza 4 takes ages ages ages to finish simply because there's so many races and cars. Forza 5 not so much. There's no argument which looks better.

Before I sold PS3 for Xbox One (kept two games, one of them being GT6), I didn't play it all the time, but played it more than occasionally. The online was pretty good, kept me busy especially since the car shows were poppin and kept me making alot of cars. Probably mainly the car shows that kept me busy lol. Oh! Actually the seasonal events kept me busy too. Being as competitive as I am, I tried to beat all GT6 friend's time until I was tired and I wouldn't accept 2nd place prices lol. (Forza Horizon 2 is pretty fun btw! The online is garbage though )

of course i still play of GT6 and continue, is excellent game and sim...
but his need more work with more options for me in arcade mode (for offline racing, because i like online but also and offline racing) because it has lacked of options in this area ... like select how many AI opponents cars in grid, with what type and model cars as opponents for more fun, tire wear, fuel quantity, select tires for player and opponents for more challenging (in short-term races) races ect (sorry for my bad english)

I guess that is because a lot of people played the early GT games when they were growing up and had a lot of time and youthful enthusiasm. Now people expect more and some of those who played games as a child look back with a fondness and memories which tell them the game was much better than it really was.

Personally I play GT6 every Sunday (as I host a championship series) plus a bit of practise. I log on every day to get the online bonus and check messages. I am not interested in the Vision cars so I normally just do one or two laps to get the car.

As a game, in my opinion it is a very poor game, that is saved only by the ability to race online with friends and fellow clean racers. An event creator would get me playing regularly. A course creator might get me playing regularly if the brilliant tracks created by talented course designers could be shared. I don't anticipate creating tracks myself as I don't have the time, patience or talent.

As a game it's very poor? Lol. What's poor when you can do any sort of race in online mode with 16 players? What more do you ask for? This is superior to anything that can possibly be done in offline and vs the CPU cars.
What do you expect really? What would make it a great game according to you? I'm curious to know (besides the upcoming course maker)

Own it, don't play it. GT6 honestly gotten boring for me as it was quickly losing my intrest. I would have kept playing it if the CM was added, but sadly it never did and it seems that it'll never will. Right now I play other games and work on my series (two series now) that are far more enjoyable than GT6 ever be.

Not only that. I also dislike PD and how the manage their games nowadays (GT6). After this title my faith in them became non existant to even care about GT7. Basically, I've moved on and haven't looked back since.

I voted 'Own it, don't play it' which is not quite accurate. I do play the game but not very often, whenever a new update comes out I'll play and enjoy it for a few days/weeks.

I still play GT6, just not as much as I use to. It's mainly because I completed everything and there's not much to do other than run laps and play with photo mode. Oh, and I guess I sometimes buy cars and modify them.
