As a game it's very poor? Lol. What's poor when you can do any sort of race in online mode with 16 players? What more do you ask for? This is superior to anything that can possibly be done in offline and vs the CPU cars.
What do you expect really? What would make it a great game according to you? I'm curious to know (besides the upcoming course maker)

I think you didn't read my full sentence - As a game, in my opinion it is a very poor game, that is saved only by the ability to race online with friends and fellow clean racers.

I'll try and clarify that sentence for you - the game itself is poor - feeble AI, unconvincing engine sounds, most cars have no interiors, short and dull career mode. However the next part of the sentence I said, "Saved by the ability to race online with friends and fellow clean racers."

The online is the redeeming feature in an otherwise dull game.

Yeah I read it properly. Its not the best written opinion ever I guess ("it is not good, but it has that feature so it is not bad")

I still play it regularly, though I do step away for a break now and again. All the free content is great. Mid-Field is so much fun. It really surprised me how much I enjoy lapping that track. And the cars all handle better than they did in GT5 so they all seem somewhat new. Sixty bucks well spent I'd say.

I'll be playing 'till Gran Turismo 7 goes on sale.

Just having online racing isn't good enough anymore. It's 2015 and online play is a standard feature in racing games. It's been that way for years. So what does GT6 have left to offer? It certainly isn't in the short career mode, poor AI and sounds, and shallow car customization. And even when it comes to physics it's debatable whether GT is the best anymore, especially with competiton like Project CARS coming out soon, which eventually GT7 will be up against.

So what unique features can GT bring to the table other than the non-existent course maker?

I bought this game the day after it was released in the u.s. and I couldn't stop playing. But lately, I've been playing a lot of GTA because the online for GT6 won't cooperate with me...........

I played a lot at the start - I think I had a mechanical failure in my LCC Rocket in one race due to sheer mileage on the car.
Had an update issue v1.13 so side lined since November. Then managed to get the update to work. And happy motoring ever since.

I only play it when new content comes out such as new cars and some seasonals, I've completed the game and there isn't really much to do other than online but that is boring aswell. In the mean time I play forza horizon 2 on the xbox one and gta online on ps4. Can't wait to see what'sin store for gt7

Course maker + GPS course maker, if PD eventually release these two and they work well, they will be the best two features by far in any racing game.

Because seriously, what does a type of game like this have to offer?

What will Project Cars bring in, apart from nothing?

Forza Motorsport offers customizations (mostly the Livery Editor)

Project Cars will bring a real racing game on PS4 (until GT7 at least or whatever the next GT will be called) because DriveClub is nothing more than a NFS wanna be, AND PCars will give us a really great amount of race cars and a lot of great real life race tracks from all around the world which GT6 doesn't have, and the Course Maker will not be great enough to make me forget that.

So "nothing" is better than what GT6 currently has, which is a huge amount of standard cars, a huge amount of GTRs (and is planning on adding some more, yay! 👎), no new real tracks other than the A1 Ring which isn't enough. So I guess Project Cars has a lot more to offer to motorsports fans than GT can and probably ever will. And the sound is also way better than what GT has.

Bold = Crystall ball stuff

Underlined bold = False

Even counting the standards they have many premium cars, many real life tracks, and they're working on improving the sounts (supposedly for GT7) so overall, bad post is bad.

Each game has its stuff, you will not find a game that has everything so please, consider that before posting

I picked own it, don't play, but I do turn it on when there's an update/VGT, just to keep it current. Not really sure why I even care to do that anymore. Just tough to let go I guess.
I can see where the OP got more enjoyment out of GT4, I believe I did too. There was just so much more variety in 4, and seems like each version after, had less and less content. Rally is almost non-existant now, a favorite past time of mine in GT4.
Sure racing online with friends is fun, but even that gets old. I've been racing online since GT5p, so I've definitely put some time in on it. I've been on a GT break since about January, and just looking out for something good to happen.

Crystall ball stuff? Even if I can make whatever I want, any tracks that'll be created/generated with it will not make it for the lack of legendary tracks such as the ones listed below. At least for me the course maker (as great as it may be) will not make me forget that there's a lot of legendary tracks missing from GT6.

There's a lot more race cars that can race against each other (without modifying them) than GT has, so I can't see where it's false.

There's also way more great real tracks on PCars than on GT6.

Tracks in both games:
LeMans
Bathurst
Nordschleife
Silverstone
Spa

Brands Hatch
Willow Spring
Laguna Seca
Monza
Indianapolis

GT Only (compared to PCars):
Suzuka (it was on PCars but they removed it apparently)
A1 Ring
Ascari (never heard of it until GT)

PCars (Compared to GT):
Bugatti LeMans
Cadwell Park
Sonoma
Brno
Donington

Snetterton
Oulton Park
Road America
Watkins Glen

Dubai
Hockenheim
Imola
Oschersleben
Zolder
Catalunya

Zhuhai
Mugello

Bold = Great tracks.

In terms of real great tracks, PCars has a lot more than GT.

And don't get me started on the sound, they said the same thing about GT5, GT6 so I'm not getting my hopes up for GT7 until there are proofs the sound still isn't good enough compared to PCars.

So GT4 kept you going for years even though it had primitive graphics, primitive driving physics, and you played agaisnt the CPU, and GT6 not so much even though it has far better graphics and driving physics and you can play against other players online... interesting.
Do you still have the same cell phone you had in 2004? Do you play on the same TV? Do you drive the same car? Everything in perpspective. What was great in 2004 was great relative to what was available a the time, and at that time, GT was far beyond anything else on console.

Wrong. PCars has a great many real tracks + variations that are not in GT. 17 at launch by my count, representing more than 35 variations. Add to that 2 real life kart tracks + 3 fictional kart tracks + variations. GT has zero real kart racing tracks. Add in the planned release of historic tracks + the oval pack and it's well over 30 different real life tracks and more than 50 variations. So you can unbold and un-underline your post.

Yeah, so what, GT has a lot of other stuff that PCcars dont have, as I said, no game has everything, so please, stop with this nonsense, its always the same "gt doesnt have this, gt doesnt have that"... boring and tiresome complaints. We know that GT doesnt have everything (nor does any other game) no need to point it out on a monthly basis or so.

So now that you're proven wrong your response is, "Yeah, so what". Brilliant comeback. Perhaps do some research on a game you're trying to trash before posting. There are rules in the AUP about that you know.

(1) I wouldn't be ashamed to be PCars right now, I'd rather have a lot more real tracks than some fictive ones.

(2) what?

(3) That is true, but GT doesn't have that extra thing to offer. PCars offers some kind of second breath, it's new and is the only racing game that'll satisfy motorsports fans on PS4 (until maybe GT7).
Forza gives you Livery Editor that keeps the game alive even when you've completed it which is a huge part of its success in my opinion. GT doesn't have that extra thing (yet).

I have to say that the course maker WILL NOT make up for the lack of content. I'm sorry but this is the truth. It could be the best course maker in video game history and it wouldn't make of GT6 the best racing game on the market. Online racing is lifeless and repetitive in GT6 for so many reasons and it's the same offline.

So i have a question: What does GT6 have that others don't? What makes it a better game?

What will NixxxoN bring in, apart from nothing?

Bold = Great tracks.

You have not highlighted Suzuka .... It's a shame ! A shame !

You have forgotten:

Tsukuba Circuit
Motegi
Fuji Speedway
Daytona

Also, the difference is that PoDi model tracks - almost - perfectly.

I still play it, but not as much as I used to, as you'd expect from a year and a half old game.

I'm ashamed, how could I? I forgot to higlight Sukuza! I really love that track and I didn't give it enough credit. Please forgive me.

But still, those four tracks aren't enough compared to PCars.

They sure do, but still I'd love to have a lot more almost perfectly modelled real tracks, wouldn't you?

GT6 has the best collection of non-real life tracks.

Oh wow so two miserable tracks are enough to beat GT6 right?

That particular sound is quite bad by the way... just because its loud it doesnt mean its good. Its just as bad as a lot of GT6 ones but much louder. Doesnt sound realistic at all.

I've had enough of hearing all this nonsense GT6 bashing, I'll go doing something more productive because this feels like completely wasting my time.

I was disappointed by GT5 and didn't feel like paying full price for GT6, so I waited until i found it for 20 bucks. Good decision imo.
