HAHAHAHH!:sly:

for my say.. lets see

Gran Turismo 5 Prologue is about/around 1/7 of Gran Turismo 5 in terms of number of cars and tracks and events. . by this time I am guessing GT5 is about 40-50 percent done.

1/7th in terms of cars and tracks and events?:scared: No no, we better have far more cars and tracks than that. It would only want to be 1/15th or less.

42 tracks, about 400 cars and over 300 races. (with the manufacturers too) That's about what I was expecting for GT5.

I'd be expecting closer to 800 cars.........:dopey:

I voted 40 -50% . Because when there is game that i like, that game will be delayed...and delayed... and delayed etc. but 250 cars i close to 400(400 is the number of cars told by kaz)

I think 30-40% is done from GT5 is ready and we got to wait till summer 2010 :( if the game will come spring 09 than they got to start the promotions now, give us pictures, facts asf. got no hope for 2009 :(

I have an idea, let's all freeze ourselves and get unthawed when GT5 is released! :dopey:

Hope is fine, but expect? Much more likely to be dissapointed.

Hope or expectation, I will likely be disappointed either way at a likely lack of classic Australian cars and Bathurst.
Low expectations I must have, so hope for at least 1 VE and 1 FG I shall. Any more will be a bonus then.:sly:

Edit: GT4 had over 700 cars in it, which is where my expectations come from. One would hope they will simply add to the list, but I suppose that is wishful thinking.:indiff:

You know what?

I don't care. I don't care how darn long it takes. Just as long as I know there's going to be a brilliant game at the end of the wait. Heck, when I first saw the release date was 2010, I was happy... more time to save up for a PS3!

People, be patient. The more time, the better the game will be.

lol 30% voted under the 50% completion.... you have to be the biggest retard to vote under 50%... i dont even have to explain the reasons why its basically given to you in prologue

i think that gt5 might be like 25% done. :banghead: gt5p alone was probably like only 1/10th of gt5. gt5 still need to have all the cars and tracks and to the perfect touch. also seeing as how just to get one car done they have to go through a whole process of getting the sound perfect, camera angle perfect, and everything else perfect, it probably will take a whole wihle longer. maybe late 2010 early 2011. idk this is my guess. im probably wrong though...:indiff:
i guess i was wrong. christmas 2009 it is... hopefully there wont be any delays

Voted 60-70%. I think most of the work on cars and tracks is pretty much done, and right now they will just be finishing the codes on those.

Online and game mechanics are probably a tad behind (wheather and damage, things like that).

Call me highly optimistic, but i've read some rumblings of GT5 having 1000+ cars. I can't get a link to post here, but i've read that more than once, that the goal is 1000.

But rumors are rumors, i guess 500 is a reasonable number to work with. With time i trully believe that GT5 will exceed 1000 cars, but that will happen because we will have a lot of downloadable content, kinda like rock band.

That way the game can be done for a (hopefully) worldwide release in x-mas of 2009.

Like most of you guys, i wish i knew something...

And final GT5 will have ~120 cars & 12 tracks, so yes, prologue was 50% :banghead:

but that will happen because we will have a lot of downloadable content

That is something else to remember once the entire game comes out , I feel positive that there will be patches and more downloadable content, add ons for this game

I don't quite think so. I think Kaz and the boys / girls are going to pull out all the big guns on this game to make it the pinnacle of all racing games. We are going to see a lot of content here. After all when games are released in series, you usually want to top it's predecessor (GT4) which was awesome,GT5 will be mind boggling ,(IMO).

As far as game progression goes,I'm guessing on the high side 75-80 %. A few little more additions , some tweaks here and there , ironing out details , I hope we all have it sometime in the spring of '09.

That logic would work if the game was purely car and track models and nothing more. However the vast majority of work is the game engine and the phyiscs, both of which we know are already done and only recieving tweaks here and there. The car and track models are work obvoisely but they arn't all that there is to do, certainly not the biggest aspect of the work. If you want to get into detail then you have all the licensing, pre-licensing and preperation work that is all part and parcel of making a game like GT too. All things taken into account PD will be very much past the 50% mark especially if all they have left is car and track models to make and a few tweaks here and there.

I went with 70-80% completed. Perhaps I'm being a bit optimistic, but a little optimism never hurt a pragmatist...:D
