My 1st post: I'm 46 and have had every GT game (except PSP) on release day, love this series to death.Highlight,Pikes Peak Monster Vitara fully tuned pulling wheelies!!!....how many hours, days, months i've spent hammering round the tracks I wouldn't like to hazard a guess but it's given me so much pleasure.
I am 33 and played the series since 1998 the first day GT1 was released in Europe (cause I lived in Germany).
Good years. Welcome GT5...goodbye social life
I am 34 years old, and was first introduced to GT-world with GT5-prologue - or actually the demo to the prologue. As a girl my coworkers think I am crazy to take a few days off just to play this game - but I relly love it.
Well, I love the driving, but I am not to happy about how they have build all the parts of this game, though. I think it should be easier to find the right car to the event you want to attend to - but I guess neither of you experienced players think of this at all?
23 loved GT1 tho I never owned it.. Loved GT2 witch been my favourite and the only reason I spent all my saving money for ps2 was GT3 bought the package and got this tuner magazin speciality for GT3. only got 100% on GT4, and like 6 or 7 different F1 cars. all different collours. yeeeah! Love GT5 best driving psykes....
I do use abs (1) anyone who control their cars good with this off i allways get it out of spin i try to tap it or just touch it a bit but sometimes i loose it and its full brake n stragith out in 900 degrees........ tcs 5 but i do love it at 0 but then again straight out usually...
I'm 32, played a bit of GT and GT2 and GT3 and GT4. PS3 is my first playstation so the previous games I played at my mates' houses. Never really was a massive fan of the series really because I think there's always been better games out there. GT5 is good, but not the best racing game. Still a great game though!
GT Anonymous:
I'm 28 and I'm an addict.
Started back with GT1. Since then I've gotten my fix with GT2,GT3, Tourist Trohpy, GT4, GT Prologue, GTPSP, GT5.
I'm 27 years old and i started with the first GT. I loved it ever since and played all the releases. However i didn't get too deep in GT4 because it was the last days of playing PS2 for me and i got busy studying.
I'm not the best player, but i think i do well and i'm very stubborn and don't get bored trying. I like that this game makes you do things perfectly or else you don't get the gold trophy. Most other racing games you can get through even if you hit the wall five times while racing .
I expected much more from the game in terms of the Races and leveling structure. I hate that i can get into the race without the licenses and without BHP limits. The car tunning is straight forward and does not distinguish between cars. I was hoping for something more complex and realistic.
I'm looking forward to see new DLCs that will make the game more challenging.
39 and owned all except Prologue. GT5 is my first as a father. I've had to wait until the whole house is sleeping (3 and 4 year old kids). And hide my G25, otherwise there would be hell. Funny how life goes. Probably play with the kiddos when GT6 come out.
wow...we're exactly in the same position/age. i had a US PS3 chipped and played the Japanese version before anyone i knew even had an idea of what GT was. my roommate's fraternity bro was the US head of A'PEXi and he had the Japanese version. i remember seeing the game at his house in Irvine one day and was blown away. he was nice enough to chip my PS and gave me a copy of the game. surprisingly enough, even with not being able to read any Japanese at all, there wasnt a problem playing the game. i used to play Tokyo Highway Battle before that and GT was a whole other level. still remember how crazy my Civic hatchback used to flip up (but never flip over) in the corners sometimes. the only GT i never bought was (aside from the Jp GT1 game) was GT5 Prologue.
on a side note, i just looked the dude up on google to see what he was up to now and it turns out he was the technical director for The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift and is an announcer for the D1 Grand Prix drift series. always good to see people working in something related to their passion in life...a rare feat, nowadays.
31. Started with GT1, it was the only reason that I bought a Playstation. I've owned and played all of the GT series since then except for Concept. Although, I never really enjoyed TT.
46 and started with GT1...I'm definetly not as good as I was but it's still a blast for me.
Now if I could get Bob to beat the field in expert historic so I could freakin move on.
