How would you feel if the Fall Update didnt happen?

He actually said that? That it would be in the Fall update? It was never in any press releases so I was never expecting it.

Assuming the past comments that there would be a fall update and what it would include were accurate and not butchered somewhere on their path to this forum, then this is kind of frustrating. The fact that these features won't land in Prologue isn't as irritating as the fact that we were told they would. But then again info has a way of getting mangled so who knows.
Sad that they're not coming to Prologue and lately finding myself having a hard time getting into playing it because it's just so repetitive (and the lack of world events playing into it as well) but hopefully GT5 will rock all the more. Until then there's a bevy of awesome ps3 games out that are production ready and offer a great online experience.

Sony doesn't release press releases like that until the game/update is within a day or two of release. Yes KY did say originally that Damage will come soon, then later said it will come in fall, thats what started all this 'fall' fiasco for many months now. Later when asked at E3 about the fall update he laughed and said it is behind schedule. I doubt this three car update we got was the one he was talking about but right now I am not expecting anything, so a update would be a bonus.
IMO If it were to come it would be late fall (dec 15-20) like a christmas bonus or maybe a way to mark the 1 year anniversary of Prologues release. (around December 8 or 12th from memory), we'll see.

OK, time will tell then. When we get damage first thing I'm doing is belting the crap out of either a Tuned Lancer or GTR.
Err, just to test the damage modelling of course.

Haha, I think all of us will be belting the hell out of something (car..), I expect online races will become intentional demolition derbies for a little while
I think you'll often find most GTP'ers (who unlike the punters realise that races are not won in the first corner) will sit back on the grid and let the carnage unfold then just cruise through.
Maybe we could hold a GTP demolition derby event one day.
Just set up our cars in one of the run-off areas at Fuji and "test the damage modelling".

We desperately need some new tracks.
People are obviously bored with just running Suzuka over & over again, as there seems to be a lot less online activity in the last few weeks.
Failing that, the ability to run all tracks, at all times, with all regions (in Pro) would help. That would mean, even without private rooms, we would be able to organize a well-attended GTP racing series that went from one track to another in a single session. At least then, we could get the most out of the GT5P content that already exists.

I'd be a little pissed off, but I wouldn't mind as much if GT5 came out in the summer of 09 or something. I just feel that GT5P is getting a little stale right now for me, but they could prevent that if they just updated with maybe 1 track and 2 racecars.
But, there's always other games for me to play. I might even get MotoGP '08 and play that.

Even KAZ himself said it, that it already came out. Change to SPEC III.
It change tyre physics, other physics etc.. For me it's more important then having new car or track to race with. It's a simulator, PD needs to get the physics right, and they are working on it. SO it was a great FALL update!

I always considered SPEC III to be the "Fall Update"...
wouldn't be surprised to see a "Gift" from PD under the PST(h)REE as that's how we got ONLINE last year. but I definitely dont expect one...

Updates are really nice, but I would rather have more weekends (i can only play on weekends) than an update

I would keep doing what I normally do though, just drift around as it is way more fun than being punted around.

Private Lobbies COULD easily come with public introducton of Home. The delay of Home is the first reason I see behind not having Private options.
Second reason is the fact that Private Rooms would de-saturate Public Rooms of clean and fast players in the first day, so any newcomers would be left with punters only - which would compromise the Public assets forever.

NO.. There is still BIG FALL UPDATE..SPEC III has begun.. Taku told therewill be more gameplay update after Spec III Has begun.. on 21th December Last day for us.

Hmmmm.. people are still hopeful for updates, huh? I suspect they might throw something nice in for Xmas. But THATS it... Private rooms will not come, damage will not come and no new tracks will come..... Just wait for GT5 everyone and if you are bored with GT5 play something else like Call of Duty: WAW or some of the other new games that have come out instead of whining for updates here ALL the time... Its not going to bring any updates any faster.... PD is in control and they decide what happens weather you like it or not...
